My niece left from Obigbo (near Port Harcourt) to her university, ABSU. She was kidnapped while on her way.
The kidnappers have been calling, threatening, and demanding a ransom.

my advice for you is this negotiate with the kidnappers. If you guys can afford the ransow pls do so and very fast else she could be raped. If u guys can't afford the ransom, then u can involve the police. Don't involve the police if u can afford the ransom because the police will only collect money from u in the end u guys will stil pay the ransom and they will know u involved police

The only advice I will give you is NEGOTIATE AND PAY THE RANSOM !
Make them understand that you are working hard to raise the money, negotiate and PAY .
A worker of mine was kidnapped and a Top security agency guy i know said and I quote , “ the family should raise money and pay first. Even if a VIP is kidnapped and ransom is demanded , we advise they pay first before any intervention of security agencies . “.

Sorry to hear your ordeal. This is the situation we fund ourselves in the country. We are almost in a failed state. The government have no interest in protecting the general population, they are only interested in protecting themselves. The police would not even answer you.

The only way of saving your niece is to negotiate with the kidnappers. Keep talking to them and make them realize you are trying to raise the money. From other reports we have read in the media, they kill those that don't have anyone to pay their ransome and sell their body parts to recover some money off the kidnapped. They see it strictly as a business and will not want to lose their assert (your niece) without recovering some money.
