kids all over the place having funny dentation, it's all mostly due to less breastfeeding. Your baby only gets to suck for so short a time, yet we don't wanna do it. I understand cogent excuse to stop breastfeeding by time, but some are flimsy.

Just Stop, you don't have to rub bitter leave or aloe vera, some children will suck the breast with all the bitter stuffs . Just stop giving him, give him tea instead and give him food you eat and cereals for his age.

I stopped my girl when she was 1year 3 months. It wasn't easy for the first few days but she got used to not sucking in few days. This is a girl that used to suck before sleeping and like 3 times before dawn.

For you, you need to be prepared for breast engorgement which is always painful.
- Take pain relieve drug
-Wear tight bra
-You can put cold cabbage in the bra(this relieves the pain)
Some women experience slight fever too
Last last, you and baby will be fine

I did sudden withdrawal, I went through hell/severe pain for days,I almost changed my mind and almost breastfed my baby...

Try register your baby with a good creche where you can go pick him or her up around 4-5pm,gradually start weaning(make it only night breastfeeding) till you completely stop.Your baby may cry oo but you have to be firm about it.

In case you go through pain try using cold cabbage on the nipple,massage breast with warm water,ice packs,take paracetamol or panadol extra, this will only relieve you temporarily.
