I'm finally back on the roads again hustling after absence for over 3 weeks. I had an accident on third mainland bridge ,thank God for life, nothing happened to the passenger and me. But vehicle was badly damaged, I needed to spend close to 200k on the vehicle ,I.e whole body painting and panel beating. Note that I bought two new headlights and some other body parts of the vehicle.

I was on a trip when the Accident happened so I made a report about the accident to BOLT ,thinking they have some kind of plans for accident issues during trips on their platform.

Bolt made it clear to me that nothing of such exist, that they only take care of reported missing items during trips. They blocked my account immediately and asked me to do another inspection when my Car is ready.

I asked if at least they will give me a free Inspection after I'm done with the body work of my Car, and their answer was that there won't be such, that I will be responsible for payment of the new inspection.

I regretted ever reporting the Accident to them in the first place. My inspection report was still valid for another 3 months ,but I needed to do another one yesterday.

Has anyone ever reported an accident to Bolt/Uber and what was there response?

I once reported a case to Uber some months ago, though it was a robbery attack, and I zoomed off, but my car handle was damaged and passenger glass broken, reported d case and I was blocked too and was told to do another inspection.

My next message to dem changed the whole narrative, I told dem next time, I will gladly drop d passenger with d Thief and allow us to be dealt with. I got a call from dem immediately and dey said once I repair the car, I shud just snap to them the affected part.

I did and my account was restored.

But BOLT, hmmmmmm unless U copy there HQ, but for d ones in Lagos ,sorry to say dey re animals.

I don’t expect anything from riders but the way I respond to must of their excess makes them say I’m special or very calm and patient. Some I just dash them 1star immediately so our path will never cross again but I won’t insult you back.

If you are not careful riders/customers can cause you a big problem. From query, to writing reports of incident or getting blocked as in the case of bolt.

Very true. If u have a services background, it's easy to deal with Irrate Riders. Sometimes they apologize before the trip ends about their behaviour before or during the trip because of the way u manage them.

Any person in my own case, will do worse. I told the guy I was not going I mean customers are always right terms is only applicable in papers.

Go mistakenly price market anyhow for yaba dem go show you. Treat me the way you want to be treated…. I can’t physically attack you but the line “”bitch”” sounds crazy bro you ain’t chatting with robot…

If his route is good and manageable haba people go go now… I’m not the course of Lagos bad roads

I have told you what I would have probably done. I am not saying u should or shouldn't take shit but If this is ur MO, my advise is don't leave evidence except u don't value your account.

Won't it be a good idea to have comprehensive insurance for cars used for ehailing hustle?

Any reason why you didn't insure the car?

Yes they do...
Some use 16' 17' or 18' rims
And some other profiling such as height and width...

Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by yommie007: 9:54am On Sep 21, 2021
This means; 215 is width of the tire,
60 is the height
While 16 is the rim size.
A muscle camry can still accommodate a height of 65 if you wish...
Then consider a C which means cargo
It lasts longer and helps save money b4 replacement.

Office Location: 1 Bashiru Oweh Street, Off Medical Road, Ikeja, Lagos

WHY DOES YOUR CAR NEED TRACKER

(1) Security: While anti-theft systems like push-buttons before car start, gear lock, pedal locks etc… are good, ONLY A TRACKING SYSTEM LIKE OURS ALLOWS YOU TO RECOVER (AND ALSO PROTECT) YOUR VEHICLE IF YOUR CAR IS HIJACKED FROM YOU WHILE DRIVING. Our trackers are both anti-theft and recovery in nature. e.g. You should shutdown your car before you sleep at night or park in a public space. Whenever you need to start the car, you enable it also.

(2) Remote Monitoring: GPS Security trackers allows you to monitor your vehicle location remotely from your phone. You are able to view your car’s location in real time (from our IOS/ANDROID APPS).

(3) Vehicle History: Through our online platform (IOS/ANDROID APPS) , you can view where your car had been between DAY X and DAY Y. A plot is shown on a map showing your car’s movement over this period of time.

(4) Remotely Stop Your Car: With our security GPS tracker, you are able to stop your car from ANY PHONE with an sms command. This function can also be carried out through our online platforms.

(5) Geo-Fencing Alarm:If your car goes beyond set a radius (or multi-point), say Lagos, you will be notified by sms.

Call/Whatsapp 09032614208 for details on how to schedule an installation.
