Basil shut up your smelling mouth. Obiano didn't borrow a dime for the project. Take your envy and bitterness to Enugu state thread. Debt of Enugu state is thrice bigger than that of Anambra but there's no major infrastructure in Enugu state that's corresponding with such huge debt. Face your Enugu state for once, your opinion is needed in your state, not here

This is beautiful and a great project

Wow! Truly a fantastic achievement!

What marvel's me is how they have insisted on the very best quality equipment and global practices! I am shocked that they are indeed installing the runway center lights! It is an extra cost that most people who are addicted to shoddy jobs would easily do without. But, Obiano does not like to cut corners! Anything he does, he wants it to be the same standard that you would find in civilized countries where public safety is placed above cutting corners in everything.

Great project. Anambra international airport is the international gateway to the eastern Nigeria.

ChimaAdeoye:
The airport is virtually completed!

Congratulations to Ndi Anambra and Nigerians in general!

A brand new world-standard International airport has been added to Nigeria!

I loved to see Hon. Labaran Maku again after all these years!

Main access road has also been completed and street lights installation completed. Landscaping with flowers and trees now taking place.

Abeg, Obiano deserves serious three Gbosaa!!!

I still don't know how he found the money and managed it so well to achieve all these in one swoop! While his counterpart who has not even completed their airport water supply system or even a carpark, not to mention the apron, terminal building or runway is already begging everybody for money! They will probably ask IMF for money when it's time to install CAT 2 ILS systems and lights, and the airport fire trucks!

May God bless Anambra with another technocrat with great vision like Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo!

When Obiano said in 2020 that Anambra had money for this project to be executed at the highest international standards of a true international airport, i doubted him.

Now i know that he meant every word. To install these top notch navigational equipment is expensive and rare in even international airports of most African countries.

I salute the vision of Obiano in not cutting corners at all in this project. Anambra , south-east and even the Igala nation will totally benefit from a truly safe international airport in their doorstep.

Kudos for this excellent execution and service to humanity.

Orient petroleum should better begin their modular refinery now. Else SEEPCO or some dubious company operating oil wells in Anambra will realize they have a higher profit margin if they build a modular refinery and pipe their Aviation fuel to the airport for sales.

The reason i hate some of you calling yourselves the real Igbos and why i totally reject the notion of an independent Biafra is because you guys are too short sighted for even a goat.

Your region has been denied a standard international airport. Something that every other region in Nigeria has. You have been told to build it because the FG does not have resources to build a truly international standard airport in your region . Since they know that the cost will scare any state government from attempting it. They know that if none of your airports achieve true international standard, no American or European airline can ever serve any airport in your region.

Yet u see your people here being so shortsighted in seeing this airport as an Anambra thing instead of rejoicing that soon there will be an airport in your region that can attract international airlines from Asia., Europe and America . The jobs that this airport will create will be filled by every Nigerian including Yoruba, Tiv, Fulani, Hausa, Igala or Efik. Not to mention Enugu and Imo. Today, the Asaba airport taxi services are dominated by Yoruba and Ibibio people. Go and check it and verify.

You're very shameless and envious. Peter Obi praise singer/worshipper like you have no moral justification to deride Engr Umahi who is trying to give his people the best out of nothing without cutting corners, borrowing or giving excuses. Anybody who knows Ebonyi state before and during this Umahi regime will know that Umahi is not in competition with any governor because he is on a different league.
You would have been happy if Umahi built substandard roads and buildings just like your Messiah, you would have something to use to run Ebonyi down.
Is it now a bad thing for another governor from another state to give his people quality/standard projects ?
Where is all this envy coming from. Kai

You are delusional to think I have time to hate Ebonyi. On the contrary , I wish the state the best and advice they focus on where they have comparative advantage and not chasing shadows with the building of an airport you know you can't even complete in another five years....meanwhile , your teeming youths are scattered in the Nigerian streets hawking , suffering and looking impoverished.

Keep measuring with Ndi Anambra and keep building senseless white elephant projects the people does not necessarily need.

I think that's a CAT II ILS localizer in the first pic. I asked someone about it earlier before. The second pic is a DME or glideslope antenna. I think its both together.

Check which soil? Are you a pedologist? Do you think environmental impact assessment was not carried out prior to the project? Besides, Umueri is hundred percent erosion free. Did you make use of aero-magnetic survey, or you just assumed? Hahahahahhahaahaha....... Anambra International Cargo/Passenger Airport is a monumental project. Do not think it would easily be started without complying with all safety and environmental rules and policies across board via supervision of Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority and International Civil Aviation Organization.

Airport is not the only project Engr Umahi is after. He have completed school of health, big market , shopping mall, conference/worship center and he built solid concrete roads across the many towns in the state.
What more do you want him to do if not those projects some angry and negative people will call elephant projects? Do you want him to call his brothers scattered around Nigeria and start dashing them free money just for the sake of poverty alleviation? He knows that Ebonyi don't have the capability to handle the airport that's why he said they will hand it over to FG for proper management. Appreciate good work when you see it and don't castigate especially when the person you're castigating is better than the one you're praising.

Better in deed. When they challenge you people to show his projects for comparison, you will run with your tail tucked in between your legs. Wait till Umahi finish our airport!!!, it will be 100x better than Anambra airport. All of a sudden you just realized he doesn't have the capacity, at 10% completion. Well done ooooo.

Yes , Umahi has built some few quality projects but how does that impact the life of the average Ebonyi child hawking gala in the street and doing house help where they are treated like non humans. You missed to prioritize your goals because you are disgruntled over the way people had treated your people. Your governor should be building trade schools and industrialize the state so that the poor can benefit. Ebonyi doesn't necessarily need a mall and medical school of the magnitude Umahi built because it cost will starve other sectors because you don't have enough.

Finally, its retardedd to compare Obi to Umahi.....very disrespectful because Obi singlehandedly rescued Anambra from the jaws of political thuggery, did the education system overhaul that see us flying high, opened Anambra north (the poorest region), saved over 75 billion in stocks and bonds (valued at about 200 billion , thereby making Anambra financially strong) , Agulu lake hotel ,Healthcare facilities rehabilitaion with a medical school at Anaku etc. Obi is not Umahi's make , sentiment aside. Obi focused strictly on development factors that will impact the life of the average Onye Anambra and not building gigantic projects "fufunali" like a confused fellow. Obi also introduced Akpokuedike to Anambra people.
