Good evening everyone, I need clarity on an issue. I am applying under the work category and have every document ready. However, the declaration of age to be deposed by the head of the family is where I need clarity. The lawyer I got to do the declaration of age, said I am above the age of 18 and already an adult, that I can only deposed it by myself. Please I need an advise, as most of the dates of birth on my FSLC and WAEC certificates are different from the original DOB on the international passport. All these are not my fault but you know how the people in charge of data input can be especially with DOB. I need candid advise as I want to book my visa appointment for tomorrow. Thank you. |

I know this is sad but unfortunately i have booked an appointment with my previous passport number . . I got an appointment date already. I only did not check well. I was too happy after i got an offer. I have tried to book another appointment (blue kard) no response. I still have the previous appointment. I am confused as my resumption date is close by. I do not have the old passport, the old number is on the new passport. To make things worse the passport expired a long time(5 years). I do not even have it. |

Chessbaby: Yes dear it could be a delay, I advise you apply for your daughter now and when embassy give you date to come for your interview then you can write to them with your child reference number informing them that you book for your daughter but she has not been given appointment date and that you will like to come with her. Note: check the embassy checklist for a child family reunion visa and prepare her documents accordingly . In my case I didn't know the children need separate appointment and that is bcus I haven't join this thread then and my visa processing time start from March when I went for my children documents submission instead of January when I did my interview. Please act fast so that you don't make the same mistake I made...... |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by DebbyD1(m): 6:21pm On Sep 26, 2021 |
Chessbaby: You do not need a separate appointment for a MINOR. On the day of your own appointment, go with your daughter's application forms and documents. You would submit yours and hers together. This way, you won't also need pay verification fee for her own application because your verification fee will cover hers 2 Likes |

Regards the last two post about application for minors, can OTHERS please clarify the best option, Does my wife application covers for the minors also OR each of my children will need to make a separate application online different from my wife? |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by DebbyD1(m): 11:44pm On Sep 26, 2021 |
Atopet: I understand that you put emphasis on the OTHERS but I will share my experiences regardless When I went to the embassy, a guy came with two of his nephews who were minors and didn't have any appointment (because Paulinus asked him who had appointment for that day and he said he was the one). He had appointment for his student visa and his nephews were applying for family reunion but had no appointment. Yet, he was allowed to submit all three applications. For my daughter, the only reason why her application was not received the same day as her mum was because she didn't have a passport then as she was just 14 days old. My wife was told at the embassy that minors don't need to book appointments online that if my daughter had her passport at the time, they would have received the two applications. She was then told that once she gets my daughter's passport, she should just send a mail to the embassy referencing her own application/file number and an appointment date would be given to my daughter. The day I sent the mail, it was around 2am or so, by morning around 8am, embassy replied with an appointment date. If you are still not convinced, I would say you should go ahead to book the appointments for your children but when your wife is going to the embassy, she should go with them and their application forms. I'm certain she will be able to submit all applications that day. You can then cancel the online appointment afterwards.... my two cents |

Please for those that applied for interview appointment in October, 2020, has anyone received appointment date yet? Thank you in advance. |
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Ganesass: 5:38am On Sep 27, 2021 |
Atopet: I believe so. Every applicant regardless of their age need their own separate application documents. But one appointment is enough for a parent and her minor children. That's what I think DebbyD1 is trying to explain. 1 Like |

Atopet: Correct! Each individual must have his/her own APPLICATION FORM and supporting documents as stated in the corresponding checklist |

I am applying for a visa via the fast track procedure, it has been approved and I have my appointment date. My question is that would I go to the Visa appointment with the pre-approval document. I was told the document will be shared with the embassy by the local authority in Munich. So I want to confirm is that how it is done? |

Goodmorning everyone, I have read this page back to back over the night and I am extremely grateful for sharing your experiences and all the help. My husband relocated to germany and i am just upset with myself that out of all the research i thought i did to aid my joining him, it didn't occur to me to check nairaland. I would have simply been on the booking appointment list same time he booked his visa... That will have meant i would have gotten a date for this December... Hmmm Chai, e still dey pain me.. Please DAAD Scholars (or spouses), Can You share the invitation letter you got from DAAD that hastened the process? You can leave out personal details on the letter please. My Husband works at a research institute and we are trying to get the HR to give me an invitation letter, we want to show him that other academic/scholarly bodies do it also. He has a blue card, a living space, the Federal employment agency document, and his salary is within the needed range. Please i beg you, help me. We are trying for babies and time isn't on our side. Thanks all. 1 Like |
