I don't even understand why this issue is being dragged. Juve is not a small club. There is a very fair probability of them scoring. Besides, it was a mistake, which definitely happens. The main problem with that match is our attack. It's as blunt as a broker 2B pencil. DW documentary should better start a series on the massive fraud going on in the football transfer market. As for Ziyech, I think we should just count our loss 7 Likes |

On Kovacic, I don't know why he is always guilty of ball watching, it is becoming a pattern I have noticed in his game. Sometimes he just stops, maybe its lack of concentration or something. 4 Likes |

Jodera: Since when do players get criticised for standing goalside.of their opponent when ball is in the air. That's the natural place to stand. Jorginho gets criticised for hiding in tough games when his teammates have the ball to feet and he refuses to open passing lanes, but will stand behind opponents as he is not confident in receiving the ball when players are around him. Nobody will criticise him for not making passing lane for a teammate engaged in an aerial duel. 1 Like |

swiz123: You are saying Silva should have drifted back rather than engage, Raumdeuter is saying Silva should have engaged. Which one of you is talking nonsense? I think Silva was 70% correct in his execution. I don't hold him absolutely faultless, I said he has little fault. He made the right decision in not engaging but I think he could have judged his distance to Bernadeschi better. There is a way he could have placed himself to rule out the possibility of Bernadeschi going for a dribble, while also being close enough to give himself a chance of cutting out a pass. He was 7 yards from Berna at the start of that move. 5 yards distance would have achieved both. 5 Likes 1 Share |

donstan18:. Jorginho was almost on him before he passed the ball. Silva miscalculated the whole thing. He should have drifted some inches back. That would slow Bernadeschi down enough for Jorginho to either steal the ball or foul him. |

Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Jodera: 8:17pm On Oct 01, 2021 |
Ibime:My point is this, while Jorginho made a mistake, it's not critical the way you're painting it. He could have protected the zone better(being in control of his zone), a smart midfielder would have intercepted that ball before it gets to Bernardeschi(and not necessarily marking him as you opined) but even as such, situations like that happens. The biggest culprit is kovacic who allowed chiesa run freely behind the backline of Chelsea and giving Bernardeschi option for a pass. If kovacic wasn't asleep, Chiesa wouldn't have being available the way he was, thus bernadeschi will be forced to improvise either by going into a blind alley or trying to beat Silva and everyone knows he's not a good dribbler. (Same situation happened during the 7th or 8th minute and Bernardeschi was confused making kovacic winning the ball from him easily) In a nutshell, It was kovacic fault which was critical for juventus goal not Jorginho as you wanna make us to believe. |

Emmynator:oya na You are Nigerian, no matter your location, tribe or age, the odds of you becoming a dollar billionaire in your lifetime is 1 in 500,000, there are only 15 black billionaires in the world, so your odds are exponentially greater Even with an idea that is feasibly and sustainably possible the odds are not still in your favour, when we talk about institutional racism, you people underrate it's effects Being a billionaire matters because you can effect change, leave a legacy and create a dynasty for your family's name, agree or disagree but every family competes to be the most successful even among relatives You are obviously working for someone, earning a living wage, you would commit the most productive years of your life bearly creaking above the international poverty line, passing for a local middle or upper class citizen, all your productive years would be spent increasing and optimizing the profit margins of another man's business or if it's the government, you would be a small cog in a bureaucratic machine that breeds unfulfillment, resentment and tribalism, leaving you frustrated and miserable after a lifetime of service, particularly if you don't steal, with inconsistent pensions that would make you a nuisance to your family and society, if you didnt have foresight to plan ahead Social pressure will come and you would marry an average babe that is bearly good enough for you but because she also has low expectations of herself, she would be loyal, she would have your kids and you might or might not eventually manage to save enough money to build a bungalow or mansion depending on how much growth opportunities you were afforded at work, your educational qualification, how much influence you can exert and the company's profile You would be 60 years and look back at your life and wonder, what if? organ failures would begin then or earlier, depending on your habits and consumptions, the severity of their effects would be evident then you would have sons or daughters, they would inherit the little you built and might or might not use that as a starting seed to grow enough to finally give your family's name the prominence you dream of, enough to build a dynasty but generational wealth transfer never works, trust funds and blind trust exist for a reason, given that you are Nigerian In a few thousand years, you would be forgotten and no one would even remember that you ever existed Fresh new information 10 Likes 3 Shares |

Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Ibime(m): 8:29pm On Oct 01, 2021 |
Jodera: Nothing like critical or non-critical. Good DMs snuff out situations while escorts always contribute to them and start playing word games about who was more critical. Even in the days of Mikel, we always argue whether goals were his fault or that of the defenders. When good DMs come on the scene, no more arguments, showing what the problem always was in the first place. Kovacic is the biggest culprit for that goal followed by Jorginho but a good DM in Jorginho position would not even allow a Kovacic-Chiesa situation to develop. No goal is the making of one man alone. Kovacic could also claim he fell asleep assuming Jorginho will deal with his zone effectively. |

Ibime: 6 months is enough time for a player to improve. What I think of Jorginho is not subjective. His recognitions gives credence to my recent assessment of him. Unlike your assessment of Horjberg which is entirely subjective. An objective assessment would take into consideration the fact that TOT regressed immediately he was signed. Your MCM is dragging TOT backwards while Jorginho just helped Chelsea win the CL 3 Likes |

Ibime:Thank you, that bolded is exactly what I wanted to read from you. No matter how you wanna look at it there are errors that can lead to goals and there are some that can not. Jorginho error have 98% chance of the ball not being in the back of the net, same can't be said of Kovacic |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Ibime(m): 9:14pm On Oct 01, 2021 |
Jodera: Stop playing chicken and egg. Jogginghoe error led to a direct one-on-one with the last man and you are saying it's 98%. Is that how you judge risk of an opposition player running one-on-one with your last man? What if Jorginho doing his job ensures that whatever Kovacic does has 0% chance of leading to a goal. |

Ibime:Like I said earlier if Kovacic had done is work well, Bernadeschi would have Silva and Jorginho (who was already closing down on him) to outwit. Bernardeschi is not a good dribbler and the highest thing he would have done was to draw a foul finish. Chiesa giving him the sweet option of laying a pass was what caused that goal and he (chiesa) didn't just appear. And that's not a last man Silva, even Rudiger was closing in to mop up in case of anything. You've already agreed that kovacic is the biggest culprit, why do you still wanna drag Jorginho into this again? Your argument would have been valid if Jorginho and kovacic swapped places. |
