Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has criticised state governors forcing Nigerians to take COVID-19 vaccine.


Recently, DAILY POST had reported that the Governor of Edo State mandated that all citizens take the vaccine and obtain a card beforee having access to public places in the State.

Despite the court order by a High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers directing the government to maintain the status quo on the compulsory COVID-19 vaccination for citizens, Governor Godwin Obaseki maintained that his government’s directive of no access to public places without being vaccinated still stands.

But Adeboye while speaking during October Holy Ghost Service wondered why some State Governors are mandating Nigerians to take the vaccine before they gain access to banks and churches when the number of doses available is not enough in the country.


“The number of doses available in the country is not even enough for 10 per cent of the total population of the nation. How do you then say whoever does not take the vaccine will not be able to go to bank and church?

“It means 90 percent of the population will not be able to access their money. We will need to go back to the olden days of keeping money, I hope you know.

“Well, I believe they just want to make us laugh and you know in Nigeria, we need things to make us laugh,” Adeboye said.

The Beginning of 2020 God told me the whole world will convulse like a child and there will be a public holiday.
At the heat of it, I cried to God for help and he heard my prayers and he said l, Only those who's time has come will die form this disease.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has advised members of his church who are willing to take the COVID-19 vaccine to go ahead.

Addressing a congregation of worshippers in the early hours of Saturday at the monthly Holy Ghost Night on 2nd October 2021, Adeboye said he has nothing against the vaccine and members who want to take the vaccine should do so instead of living in fear or doubt.

He said, “I never said to you don’t be vaccinated, you have never heard that from me. Rather than living in fear or doubt, get vaccinated. If you believe that getting vaccinated would put your mind at rest, then go ahead.



“Daddy, are you saying that you too could be vaccinated? If there are nations in the world that say I can not come to preach the gospel there because of vaccination, I will do anything for Jesus Christ.

“If vaccination is going to hinder me from doing the work that God has called me to do, if they asked me to get vaccinated 10 times, I would be vaccinated.

“Don’t ever say that you hear from me that you should not be vaccinated.”

According to the cleric, he wondered why some state governors are mandating their citizens to take the vaccine before they can have access to some public places, including the banks, churches.

Pastor Adeboye explained that he will take the vaccine if is a requirement to travel to a country he intends to go for the gospel.

They didn't force the people to take the palliatives but want to force them to take vaccines in contravention of a valid court order.

Clearly these people do not believe there's an heaven.
