Atk1nson: I wanted to complain about this sometime but forgot. I ordered a ride from my house in Shomolu to MM2. Trip ended 1700 which shouldn't be because there was no surge and no traffic. I saw the paid waiting and was shocked because as a driver, I know about paid waiting and the odd of keeping the driver waiting so I was basically standing in front of my house waiting for the driver. How the paid waiting got to 400 naira is what I don't understand. Screenshot below shows what some bolt drivers are doing. You can see the criminal driver started the trip at mobalaji Bank Anthony way which is very close to the airport as against where he picked me from m When you request for a ride, they will not start the trip until the paid waiting reads so high, they will then start it. I experienced the same thing the same day when I got to Owerri and ordered bolt to take me to where I would lodge. That one, I caught the driver when we've driven half way without him starting the trip. Attached is the trip at Owerri. A trip of 17 minutes ended 2300. Nigerians have a way of abusing things. When bolt remove the paid waiting now, they will complain. 3 Likes

sandammy: This is how a normal trip should read. Most of these drivers are criminals. I am a driver too but will never cheat a rider to make extra profit. That's why I keep wondering what these guys making millions a month are doing differently if not beating the system to their advantage and ignorance of the riders. As a driver, there are times you will end trip without getting any immediately, you will drive to location and rider will cancel, etc. There are a lot of things that will consume your time that when you check it very well, except for bonus, most drivers should be having between 15k to 20k net income legitimately. This trip below was on a surge and ended 1400 for 17 minutes drive. Another ended the same 17 minutes at 2300. 5 Likes

Bolt is to blame on this. I experienced same thing and on seeing my receipt in my mail, I saw there was no wait time. In fact, the fella below swiped arrived in my presence and that happened, but the mail clarified everything I think posting the name and driver picture is unnecessary. If they're like me, litigation and cashing out might suffice Atk1nson: 4 Likes 1 Share

BAZ001: That's because I have people I usually refer to buy and I buy myself... Some of my previous partners I preach how mobil1 would make their engine last longer and why they should use coolant instead of just water... I bought some product from him just last week so I know everything. so to me I don't have any bad blood for the guy but its seems there's something he's still not saying... He's probably frustrated that I left him and he can't find a good, competent, faithful and honest person like me and the most frustrating one to add salt on his wounds is I'm doing great than he'd anticipated remember he set a target for himself(not me) for August to add a car to his fleet and up till this very moment he's yet to land an ordinary 2003 civic that cost less than 500usd but look at me I'm doing just fine. Is God not wonderful? Now see purchase receipt fpr the oil I bought few days ago. He said we shouldn't believe everything we read online but he's always the first to Google how super tech is better than his darling Mobil 1 simply because he can't afford it anymore for his cars yet small me Nigeria povertirized base that has never even climb aeroplane b4 can afford the same Mobil 1 the American citizen can to not. He will post fr9m google how solenoid compressor is better than manual and how convention is this and that but he said we should not believe everything we read online... Perkins1: Dashboard ba wo! You no dey c watin dey happen for house since... There's fire on the mountain! Ants are running they've been busted of one of their greatest tactics of high dashboard Riders are wisening up ... Wow! See shaka na You go fear fear. Take for instance, a trip from lekki to ago Palace rd Distance: 20km ETA: 2hrs They arrive normal normal, rider comes in maybe after 10min Driver: good evening R: sorry I took time to come out D: no problem at all, can we go now? R: yes pls They bring up a discussion to distract the passenger so they don't notice weather they're starting the ride or not. Half way into the ride D: oh I forgot to start the ride R: oh, sorry hope this won't affect you money D: don't worry its fine (lies, you know that rat with long mouth, it's blows breeze into your leg whereas it's eating you deep inside) Wait time had already gotten to about 1hr+ The way bolt is program is irrespective of where you start the ride it will still calculate the exact km estimated for the trip but now the paid wait time would have shoot the trip fare higher than estimated. End of trip, rider won't even want to argue the price again even if it exceeds the estimated price because they must have been thinking in their minds they where short charged since trip started half way not knowing baba has played a fast one on them. Rider will still tip driver and still give him 5star rating believing he's a good person but actually driver is an inkapy rat (the rat with the long mouth) Now tell, me why God in heaven will not punish such a wicked and heartless people? Ha! Busted 12 Likes 2 Shares

Felicity001: Felicity, I beg to differ with that part I highlighted, bolt don't calculate the estimated km, they calculate the actual kilometer covered... Judging from your postulate, are you saying if a driver picks someone at point A going to point B and the rider introduced a point C and D, before arriving to point B, the app will only calculate the estimated km for point A to Point B ?, False..... Bolt app calculate the actual km covered, any idiot driver that starts a trips minutes after picking up a rider is only undermining his earnings, if he thinks he is beefing up paid waiting, as the trip km covered only starts when he starts the ride. I don't support fraud and cheating, but some of this rider won't come out clean on how they delayed the driver as well. 10 Likes |

PuZZyNegro: So in ur mind as someone that has Uber/Bolt driving experience, u think it's better for a driver to drive many kilometers just to accumulate paid waiting? Waiting time and distance covered which one do u think fetches more money? If driver clicks arrived u will be notified by the App, so how come u didn't notice when driver arrived? Take ur time o. U wan pay N500 from Somolu to airport abi. I think u too u r criminally minded because if driver forgets to start trip and is driving off, u r supposed to ask him "Have u started the trip?" So there is no shortage in ur fare calculation. 14 Likes |

sandammy: Take up ur concerns with Bolt. Who r u complaining to here? From Chevron to Magboro, how much u been wan pay? Is the time of that trip realistic? why aren't complaining about how short such a long trip was calculated to be less than N200 driving time? 3 Likes |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Felicity001(m): 7:05am On Oct 07, 2021 |
IFSHR: From your analogy your right bolt will calculate the total distance covered but on this particular instance without diversion or introduction of point C, D or E the bolt app will calculate the estimated distance for the trip and calculate the time in addition. Order a ride n try it to see for yourself. A bolt driver had done it to me few months ago before. I'll look for the receipt and share if I see it. This is why I like the Uber app, if you're starting a ride out of the PU threshold you must input a code from the rider's app and your start up point will be where you started the ride n not where the original PU is 1 Like |

Atk1nson: It's not always the case that drivers arrive before getting to pick up point. I think d App coy is mixing up the breakdown, the overall fares are in other, if u remove the said wait time then the fares will not be realistic. 1 Like |

From my own experience, the driver loses when he starts the trip late, so I don’t know why people are saying if you start the trip late the driver makes money, na wa. I once took a trip estimated at 2,500, but I forgot to start the trip till we were close to the destination. My pay turned out to be 700 naira, down from the 2,500 - 2,9000 estimate. Think about it, why will bolt charge you the estimated charge when the reality is different? It’s like going for a 50km trip and then ending the trip after 1km and expecting bolt to still charge for the 50km. The only wrong thing I see here is waiting when you haven’t actually reached the pickup point. Some riders don’t understand how the app works at alllllll. I once told this rider that I’m ending the trip so as to save her money, the. She started arguing, albeit mildly, implying I wanted to cheat her. How can ending the trip and still driving you to your destination be seen as me trying to cheat you? Something you should be saying thank you for. Anyways, where is cheerful giver? I hope he is hale and hearty! 4 Likes |
