When your midfield is thin and without any creativity? C.A.R. would repeat the same tactics they used against the Super Eagles in Lagos and might end up getting a draw . C.A R. have nothing to lose if the country loses or draws.
In the game I watched yesterday, creativity wasn't the main issue, but rather we were mostly unlucky in the box, thanks to a dogged and rugged defence. Saying creativity is the issue, is just looking for what to say. We did not play badly at all. But majority of you guys here only judge with goal and nothing else. CAR was just lucky. We can can still score them up to four goals with that same tactic. All it takes is a little more composure and seriousness in attack.

However, we must still think of new ways to destabilize a stubborn defence, especially when it is taking too long to score.

Those long balls were aimless. Aina, Ekong and Balogun kept on hoofing the ball aimlessly. What an eyesore. Iheanacho and Simon were taking corners like school boys.

It seems the only the time I will be watching super eagles play is when Iwobi will be starting otherwise no need

Rohr and Yobo need take that No. 10 jersey from Aribo run all to Crystal Palace and convince Olise with it.... since for now we are dearth of good Attacking midfielders.
We need players that can give defensive split passes and sometimes aim at goal like okocha and mikel

Lets try get Olise for now Amoo is still growing can't say if he can handle the responsibility of playing as a 10 for the super eagles and also Nwakali is not there at all

If truly you saw the game yesterday and still claim we weren't bad, then, it's either you an arsenal fan or you simply just hate the truth. Saying we were bad is even an understatement. Heck!! We played CAR and their goalkeeper was basically on holiday throughout the game. Did we even muster a shot on target??. I know it's difficult to play against a team that keeps a low block, but haba we no try atall.

JohnBullMySon:
No be only Onuachu, If na Maduka dey for goal, we know wetin dem for talk grin grin

You watched the match right? TBH were we bad as team, as many people claim here?

My only problem is that we become disorganized close to goal when we are not counter attacking. Whenever a team parks bus against us, It becomes difficult for us to attack. I will also attribute luck here. Somehow even all with all the good crosses we had, we hardly turned one into a chance.

Modern football is applied by lots of teams. Not only top teams. In England, Swansea, Derby, Bournemouth and a host of others. Watch the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle and you see the adoption of modern strategies.

No one on Reddit can start teaching me about it. I was an Ajax fan when Finidi George was playing there. I started watching it from Van Gaal.

I was supporting Guardiola to take over from Rijkaard when he was in Barca B. That is because his philosophy matches my soul.

Lineker wrote: "I’ll say it for him. He’s had, arguably, the most positive influence of anyone, ever on our game."

One fan then replied pleading the case of Ferguson, with Lineker replying: "Total respect for Sir Alex’s achievements, and, of course, he’s the most successful, but that’s an entirely different thing. Guardiola has changed the way we play/think about the game. From our obsession with direct play to total football...and they said it couldn’t be done."

There is now an obsessive drive to play football in the modern way. It goes from Spain, Germany, England, Italy. I don't need reddit to know what I can clearly see and explain.

Then no need for this discussion since u are incapable of learning .
Adios

UNITED BRIEFING: WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER

byJoe GanleyMonday 22 March 2021 09:00Share With twitterShare With facebook
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer refused to condemn his players for the mistakes made in Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to Leicester City, insisting that the team and staff would share responsibility for the loss.

United would have expected to defend each of the Foxes’ three goals better and the first, scored by Kelechi Iheanacho, arrived following a mistake in the Reds’ build-up play on the edge of our own box.

But the Norwegian said he would not blame the players for mistakes made while playing the ball out from the back – not when the approach has worked well for us in the past.

We want them to build from the back,” emphasised Solskjaer. “I think we’ve been really solid, we’ve been really good and we’ve built a foundation to play from with what we’ve done.

“Of course, sometimes it goes wrong, but that’s acceptable. Everyone can make a mistake. We win together and we lose together: as a team.”

https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/united-briefing-monday-22-march-2021-solskjaer-says-we-win-and-lose-together

Just know Solksjaer philosophy emphasizes building from the back.

This confirms what I have been saying since.
Man united wants to play from back but their players at the back can't. Maguire is jittery . AWB can't pass very well. He is just a slide rule. Only varane and Matic when played together ( Fred and Mctom normally start).
When Man united manage to string a couple of pass together at the back, it is very laborious, slow and horrible to watch to the extent Ronaldo complained about it in less than 2 months at the club. Because he is noticing that it is very horrible

https://www.espn.com/soccer/manchester-united-engman_utd/story/4486388/ronaldo-tells-solskjaer-give-me-the-ball-quicker

No need to prolong the argument. Start watching ball and stop watching YouTube videos

Very on point.
But i think Nwakali should get a look in.

He (nwakali) does not have to be exceptional
For club, after all na division 4 player score for CAR.
Lot's of african teams will play a low block and counter against us, we need a DLP that can give line breaking pass from deep(assist before the assist).

The problem is that he is not in top form atm.

We should be going for Olise, Ejaria and ESE. This are clear AM that has performed near top at least

Oga u are so good with English but still make no points with your words

How many chances was created for Taiwo and Oshimen yesterday from the midfield?

Good u analyse football with reason,
How many passes came from the 10 role or direct shots from the midfield

We talk about Iwobi been missed reason because of his passes upfront and weak shots that some times get into the back of the net

How do you know he is not passionate about SE?

People should not come here and start playing down on Moses even when most of the players on the pitch did nothing extraordinarily.

Attacking will not change facts. Solksjaer came to Manchester United with s Build up from the back philosophy. So talking way back is long story. You said it was in the past. Now I showed you it has been done recently.

So, know that Manchester United is a team that builds from the back. Don't argue that. It is basic knowledge.

Don't say I should watch Manchester United games because if you do, you will not aruge this basic fact.

All this your PES analogy. I'm yet to watch any meaningful game where the other team came to defend and not play. Its huff and puff and the last hoorah

Now, don't come at me with club games

I really don't understand your point. Are you saying you are yet to watch a meaningful game from a team that plays negatively or are you saying you are yet to watch an offensive team play meaningfully when the opposing team is playing negatively?

In either respect, there are loads of teams that packed buses against Spain and Spain put up some brilliant performances against them.

I have never been a fan of negative game so I can not site instances where a negative team played well.

Bro...that Spanish youngster is already exposed to big players in spain and more over u cant Luis with Rohr when it comes to getting the best out of a player

I will want amoo to be introduced into the super eagles gradually like oshimen was introduced bit by bit prior Ighalo retired.
The need for No. 10 now is massive that wil put too mucb pressure on the kid but for an EPL player not too much pressure he is already used to it
Will prefer AMOO to be given call ups to come train with this guys from time to time like Morocco did with the chelsea academy goalie to serve as motivation and gradual intro

The little creativity the Eagles had yesterday was from the wing especially Ejuke's wing, the midfield was not creative at all.
