Just got get an affidavit for the real date of birth ahead of time incase it becomesan issue. Usually we put in the date of birth just to issue the tickets. so its not much of a big deal AS LONG AS THE PASSPORT NUMBER AND NAMES ARE CORRECT WITH WHAT YOU HAVE.
But
First call Ethiopian Airlines (Lagos/Abuja branch
or go to there office to sort it out (@Silverbird Abuja)
Or go on the website and put in your real details.

from a travel agent experience.

visit cpa website and follow the steps. Its about 6 papers in 2.5 years. There are also some masters and pgd accredited by cpa which allows you skip some cpa papers. Regardless of the option you will spend over 12k . As for me i dont have strengh for all this , going for CPA usa- 4 papers and costs less than 1k lol. Will just move to usa later or work remotely.make nobody stress me abeg

Good afternoon my people

I am currently waiting for PPR, AOR Jan 2021 but I have decided to go for my masters while I wait.

1. Currently in Us on visit and secured admission for mba but it takes 5 months appx for change of visa to students visa in USA and the program is for 2 years

2. Got an admission in the Uk too which is for a year.

My question is does Canada value Uk admission more than us? Because for the us, if I start my change in status to student now , it takes app 5 months before i can now proceed to the 2year mba program ? Won’t I have gotten ppr before all this ends like this?

No one can tell you how soon you'll get your PR. The most important thing is that "don't stop living your life". The pandemic has made it even more unpredictable
Look at your situation as it is today and make the best decision on the existing variables

Hi Ednut,.
Since you're in the finance line I'd like to know my job options in Canny. I have 9years experience as a banker in Nigeria and also I have a doctorate degree in economics, all in Nigeria.
What should be my options and what should I focus on in Canada?
Thank you

Hi Everyone,

We are looking to apply for my spouse to visit Canada leveraging the Covid19 reuniting families plan.

Is there anyone here who got their family to enter Canada recently using same process?

Note: We've gone through the below process link but still have some grey areas we'd like to clarify. (E.g., the written authorization vs travel exemptions)

Thanks

Oh I thought you were a resident already. Pls don’t reach out to them yet . There are some research you can still do while you wait; research cities/municipalities that give daycare subsidy to non-PRs. Start with the city of your potential school ;you can research other cities too but just make it’s not far to your school. Make preparation to reside in the city that gives the daycare subsidy benefit. When the time comes, you have to be a resident of the said city to be eligible for the daycare subsidy benefit because they will ask for proof when you apply to Children Services.

I applied for my sister in the US some months ago and IRCC granted her the visa but didn’t approve her entry into Canada. Till today I don’t understand what happened. Meanwhile, why do you still need the authorization? If I’m not mistaken, Canada has already opened its borders . This measure was put in place months ago because our borders were not open to everyone and they wanted close families of PRs and citizens to be able to see their families. You don’t need this again.

Honestly, nobody really cares if you got a degree in UK or US or even in Nigeria.

All that matters is what you are bringing to the table, when you get employed. Heck, most job here just requires high school diploma.

So, do whatever works best for you.

For Immediate family member, you don’t need any letter of authorization or exemption.

No one can really give you an answer that is certain as no one knows the future. Do what’s best for you.

Moreover, if you are doing a PhD because lucrativeness, maybe you should stop now and do something else. Because, down the line lucrativeness will vanish and only passion will carry you through.

Again, do what’s best for you.

Hiiiiiii
I'm kinda ashamed to type this here but the kain laugh wey my Indian housemates use me laugh today warrants say make I ask for help. Whenever I cook beans or make vegetables in the shared kitchen, it smells so awful embarassed though this doesn't affect the taste. I'm a good Nigerian cook tongue. Even me perceive the shitty smell. The whole kitchen plus corridors had the stink. There was a day I prepared Afang and went for midnight shift. The next morning, the shitty stink was still in the air. Now, shame don dey catch me on top my food. I've been thinking, maybe I should just adapt and start making sandwiches, etc. Funny thing is that my Indian housemates food also smell but the smell is that of a heavily spiced 'indian' food and is 'kinda' not bad laidat. This evening, I had to spray the kitchen with air freshener, even at that, the smell is still there.

Help!!! What should I do to eradicate this smell. Note, the kitchen has vent and air conditioning.
