This one na long thing. Sorry for your loss. Go and make a report at the closest police station to where the incident happened, it’ll give you credibility when telling your uncle about it. So you didn’t get the taxi’s license plate no? |

Go and report to the Police and get a Police extract. Weren't you issued any teller at the bank? Use that for the police extract. Then inform your uncle asap with the police extract as your proof. Your uncle may have trust issue with you, but your conscience is at peace with you. |

jeffsummers: I had a similar experience. My boss sent me to withdraw about 2m from the bank. They delayed me and I became uncomfortable. Immediately I finished the transaction and stepped out of the banking hall, a guy I saw in banking hall followed me out into the street. Meanwhile I saw this guy walked in, I observed that he didn't carry out any transaction, he was just there and observing. My intuition hit me immediately, I walked two poles then entered another bank. This guy in question just stood across in a street opposite the bank and waited and I was inside the second bank observing him. I stayed in that bank for complete 4 hours, I checked back he wasn't there but I still had to take some precaution because some other person could be assigned the observation responsibility. I called my brother to bring me a shirt and my sunshades. He came to the bank, gave the stuff and I quickly changed my shirt, put on my shades, strolled out of the bank and left on a bike. Fear bankers oooo, especially access Bank. 6 Likes |

WINLABSrobot:Not everyone is a menial worker, ya know. Some proffesionals earn as high as $50-$100 per hour in the states. Besides, some also have multiple streams of income. To such people $400 is a chicken feed. 1 Like |

DICO111: This issue doesn't need advice ...government ban those people you are going to patronize ...you ought to have changed the money in that bank , put it in your account and live to the place you are going to buy the fridge . But you decided to patronise black market . One has to be wise. ...I don't care how much additional income I am gonna get from the black market ...safety is my watch word ...The robbers were able to rob you cos you have the cash with you. If you change it at the bank and deposit it In your account and you kept your atm at home....they won't force cash out of you . Just tell your brother the truth but your integrity is at stake ...if I were you ,i will get that fund on my own and buy the fridge without telling him ....he might have trust issues with you ....I wish other learn from your experience ...if some bank staff give info to criminals to waylay their clients on the way ... |

masui: Then, it's bye to the money but thieves are usually not that smart. It's hard to find a thief that is also smart. That's why 90% of the time, you can know a text / mail is from a scammer once you read them. |

badoh:I pity you. Most of all these bankers give information to criminals. Majority of them are the cause of bvn scam being rampant. You too apply common sense. Why would they just rob the guy immediately after collecting 400 dollars? Am sure the guy wasn't looking flamboyant. Anyway maybe when it happens to you, u will understand. All those cashiers in western union/money gram dept in banks are all thieves |
