solonnachi: Its simply FIFA ranking at play.... those big teams like Ivory Coast fumbled up that's why they are where they are.. I like this CAF qualifying format... The final round will pitch the best teams against each other and that will determine the better ones to represent Africa.. That was the format used in 2014 qualifier where two African teams made the round of 16 for the first time.. 1 Like |

OGC Nice are interested in signing Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye. According to Rheinische Post, as per voetbalprimeur, Nice authorities have begun talks with Okoye’s management ahead of a possible move in January. However, a deal could be complicated as the Super Eagles goalkeeper just signed a new four-year deal with Sparta Rotterdam in the summer. It also remains to be seen if Nice will be signing the Nigerian international as a replacement for Walter Benitez, who is the club’s current goalkeeper. Okoye has been one of the top goalkeepers in the Dutch Eredivisie since he signed for Sparta from Fortuna Dusseldorf last year. The 21-year-old kept ten clean sheets in his first season in the Dutch top-flight to help Sparta finish in a Europa League playoff spot. He was named Sparta’s player of the season following his impressive performance in his first year. Okoye was recently on international duty, where he kept a clean sheet in Nigeria’s 2-0 win over the Central African Republic. |

How will Liberia away be a struggle with the compliment of all our players? Your pessimism these days is worrying! The CAR defeat does happen even to the best teams in the world! Note: From what I have seen over this weekend, I don't think there is an African team the Super Eagles should be afraid of. Joebie: 1 Like |
