If the amount your bank needs to debit isn't in your account it won't work.

Get the price in USD and check your bank's exchange rate and multiply.

Let's say I want to buy an item of 5 dollars and Ali express says it is 2100 but I use GTB and they currently charge 480 per dollar. Which means what I need to have in my account should be 2400+ not 2100 AliExpress is telling me.

It's due to the $100 transaction limit mark by the CBN.
Try paying using Barter. or by requesting the seller splits the payment in 2.

Depending on rate of the platform you are paying with..
If u total an item on AliExpress (check the price in dollar e.g 20usd)

And you intend on paying with GTBank Card
You need to know the current exchange rate of GTBank to dollar
(E.g 500/$)

Multiply the bank rate buy the total amount of the item in dollar u intend on getting

N500x20usd = 20,000

Same applies for every other bank/payment platform u wish to make payments with except you have a Domiciliary Acc (charges are balanced on here)

I'm actually having the same problem now.
Just as you described, I ordered a phone and after it "Arrived at destination country" all tracking sized, since September 16th.
I contacted Nipost via email and they told me they have no record of my package.
Now the seller contacted me to file a dispute and get my refund so I have to wait for the order protection to finish so I can get my refund. I'm fed up, I pray I get my refund.

Enter the correct card number (if you enter the wrong one, mastercard is able to immediately tell that the number is wrong)

Then enter the correct expiry date (reason as same as above)

Finally, TYPE IN THE WRONG CVV2. But make sure it is any random three digit aside from your correct cvv2.

Then click on "save and pay".

Your bank will decline the transaction based on wrong cvv2, and the item is transferred to your "cart" to your "unpaid" folder.

That I should wait till my purchase protection period ends before I can open a dispute.

To those following my case on "No shipping update", the seller finally cancelled the shipment. Previously, he claimed that it was at the post office. So I opened another dispute 5mins ago and 1min later, AliExpress confirmed the dispute as valid.

So I await my refund.
I guess the seller does not have the stock on hand.

If it's gtb, it shouldn't matter, student account MasterCard has the same functionality as a regular one.
