This is my special appeal to those who are employers of labour, and human resource officers in charge of recruiting staff in companies.
Please give more employment priority to men of 28 years and older especially the married men.

After that, you can now give preference to single mothers, married females, the younger men and women.

I am saying this because as we speak, families are breaking up. Many men that are dependent on salary income have lost their roles in families.

They cannot foot the bills of providing food, paying rent, fees, etc and their families are being shattered.
I got a call last night from a relative who has been unemployed since the covid19 but his lucky wife whose job was not affected is presently keeping late nights, starving him of sex and he cannot say nada because she is the one taking care of 80% of the bills.

Or is it my senior in secondary school presently in his 40s whose wife left him with their 2 daughters and is flirting with big boys in Abuja who gave her apartment and takes care of her bills?

Mind you, these men are not lazy. If given work, they are ready to put in 120% of time to feed their families but the employment system is frustrating them. They cannot keep submitting CVs to companies giving more priorities to women and the younger folk.

Save a family today.

The ball is in the hands of the director or owner of the company....In Nigeria, human resources are barely influential in an organisation.

For those that cannot get a job,it is better they start up a business,no matter how little.

Noted.

But the most important thing is that we need more jobs and more employment opportunities. If we have sufficient jobs, then it will definitely go round because the lives of all categories of jobless people matter.

So if you're a privileged Nigerian, think of how you can help create more jobs in your own little way.

I think jobs should be given to the most qualified, whether male or female, married or single, rich or poor, disable or fit. We should all advocate for equal employment opportunities not sentiments and preferences.

Exactly why since the day I made my first kobo online, I swore to never carry any yeye CV to any yeye company or MDA for job.

If you are computer literate but still job hunting in this digital age, I blame you, not the rotten decayed Nigerian system

As a man and an employer of labour I share your sentiment.
Infact it is a sad reality.

The only issue is the post is based on Socialism ideology.

Business recruitment is based on capitalism that is I would employ the most efficient person for any post irrespective of their gender, age or marital status.
And I would pay a secure salary bracket.

Businesses and business owner that employ out of charity and not the best for the job will soon lose their capital because only the fit survives.

It is really a sad situation, honestly!

One thing is to get a job, another thing is for your salary to be able to cater for you and your family, especially now that prices of commodities are hitting the roof.

And then, in the other thread, we are reading that people are getting iPhone 13 for 6M, while some families have no hope of where their meal will come.

My own appeal to Employees of Labour, CEO, Operation Managers especially in Lagos is this

STOP SHOUTING ON EMPLOYEES THAT THEY CAME LATE TO WORK. THAT RUBBISH SHOULD STOP.

This is Lagos. Somebody leaves house at 5am for work. 10am most have not even reached due to TRAFFIC. Traffic is crazy in Lagos. Funny enough, it so bad. Especially on Mondays. God knows I hate Monday Mornings. Coming back home is worse. You spend hours in traffic. That's just my own.

You employers are also humanbeings and should understand. I know a boss that bought a house 5mins walk to his company yet will be shouting on his employees that suffered to come to work daily after spending close to 5hrs every morning in traffic.

Mr Ajayi. It's me Karina. If you are reading this, please change your attitude. if not ehn, that your company that has entered your head will fold one-day. It's the same reason three of your staff also resigned aswell. Yes...we all talk. Only one man can not run a company alone. He needs people.

And P.S: That's why I resigned from your company. You were adding to my stress. And that one of the best decision I have ever taken in life and I'm proud of myself.

With this post, I'm officially ashamed of NL
I don't blame the OP posting this shit, I blame the senseless mod who pushed this to FP.
@OP if you know of someone who's lost his place in his family cos he's having marital issues with em wife
A quick question
Was it compulsory to raise a family?
Do younger guys have to pay for the sudden turn of misfortunes they're having??

In short the OP & the MF mod who pushed this to FP should just gettout angry
