Please Doctors in the house, what drug do you recommend for my pregnant wife to use to treat malaria and typhoid?
She's 8months pregnant at the moment.
The hospital bills are too much. I lost my job earlier this year.

Take her to the hospital, avoid self medication as some antibiotics are very harmful in pregnancies. There are some antibiotics that she can take but go see a doctor to be on the safer side.

Sincerely, I can't afford the bills at the hospital. I had to cough out 1k for the test we did to confirm it.

That is why I advise women to use the federal hospital that is Teaching Hospital or better still use the local maternity closest to you it will save you a lot of stress ....besides the medications and medicines everything is free and subsidized that is very small money..... stop using private hospitals they are pretty way too expensive besides I would rather use sorry I'll prefer you use teaching hospitals because they have all the equipment equipments... everything you need

men It's quite a hard decision but don't you people have family members and friends who can help you out with some money so you take her to the hospital... She is pregnant here and you can't just give her any drugs... Drugs can have side effects and complications...

Lots of drugs are unsafe in pregnancy. Don't self medicate.

Well, since you said you cant afford money for hospital bills, your regular arthemeter and lumefantrine is OK.
Then for the typhoid, amoxil is OK.

I finally took her to the hospital yesterday evening for treatment. We were asked to pay 9500 for treatment, I had to be the doctor to start treatment and pay later. As we speak, I am indebted to the hospital.
