A few that I can remember right now.

An IT Solution business for businesses and residential homes. You can get the training and management over there in UK,, set up the company here in Nigeria. Abuja and Lagos are good locations for this.

Hotel here on the Island may not be bad, have a laundry, a car wash and a bar on the side. This one is a lifetime investment.

An auto care center that is big enough to attract big companies. You can be supplying them with tires. Employ mechanic's. Most of us here will be coming for wheel balancing and alignment. Your customer base is already available here for a start.

Pure water and bottled water manufacturing plant. Water is free underground. Just secure a good place (Ajah area), get the equiments and secure NAFDAC registration. This business can last. There are many more.

Nothing comes easy anyways but what you have now could become a billion Naira in terms of cash and assets in a few years with good management. Just think and jettison the Uber idea here in Nigeria.
To have a Pure water and bottled Water manufacturing plant... I guess you need to have a building of your own.

Is it competitive because we have a lot of Water companies.

I wan try learn too

Pearl1910, stop being defensive when people share their bitter side (cost) of the hustle....

you are a proponent of the sweet Narration perspective (All good) but try to be diplomatic in your approach so as not to be considered a hypocrite....

.it's not hidden knowledge that driving your car commercially increases your maintenance cost, just as your buy more fuel when you drive commercially, so when people share this, cool down on your defensive hornet....his narrative, his experience......

The two biggest running cost in this venture is

- Car repairs and maintenance
- fueling and commission paid
Any other cost is far from the above.

Peace

Lols...
Defensive of what?
Do u know d meaning of being defensive??

You just fell short of calling me a hypocrite without using the words, but I am still trying to decipher how that comes in here in this gist. I am not sure u know the meaning of hypocrite either.
Or better go and sleep and clear your head cos u r mixing things up.

As u have rightly said...it's common knowledge... So whatsup again.
If someone is just innocently telling us his car maintainance story, I am always all ears and sympathetic. But when u use ur post to attempt to undermine the profitability of the business, or tell a sorry story, my tone will not be so pleasing.

Peace on to you too.

Please recommend a good mechanic. I also notice we don't celebrate our mechanics on this thread?

Sir, good mechanics/technicians full Lagos.
From my experience, I can personally recommend ;
Gazzuzz he is known on Nairaland here
Tunde close to Command
Dayo in Oregun, Ikosi road

BlackBishop also comes highly recommended by some folks here. He is also on Nairaland.

Not looking for trouble oo, so not expecting to find any

I just need the analysis.

I think dashboard posting should now be accompanied by petrol/maintenance costs.

That way we get a true reflection of net income.

Just like how on the dashboard, you have your net minus bolts commission so you see a clear picture.

25500. My tank is in red. Tomorrow, I buy 5k to make it 30500. Hopefully, it pushes me to 190k

I only bought 3k today cos I had fuel left from yesterday. Started to 11am. Home since about an hour ago

Everyones maintenance costs can't be the same. Smart people like me are proactive with repairs. Idiots, on the other hand would keep managing the sounds and signs they are getting from the car until everything breaks down at the same time, then they blame uber for 60k repairs...

Under 35k for petrol is not bad at all!!

Do you use the same car for e-hailing and personal errands?

The only time I'm without the car is when I drop it off for major repairs. Other errands and activities I intertwine with the job to make sure I'm not burning fuel for nothing.

If I have an appointment, I start working earlier, to cover up before the appointment, then continue after. I use destination trips for those, especially.

Most importantly, I only buy fuel from any Enyo, any Heyden, Mobil federal Palace, nnpc ikoyi. The rest is when I am far from preferred stations and I have no choice. The fuel from those places I mentioned, burns slowly especially if you have a perfect fuel system.

A perfect fuel system burns up fuel completely, therefore the exhaust produces steam instead of smoke.

Pearl you were right about this argument. If you start the ride at the middle of the trip, the app gives you calculated fare based on kilometer driven. This was a trip of about 1:25mins I did yesterday without starting the ride.

pH sweet die, road so free unlike Lagos.. First time I drive for lag, from Ajah to Ojo na 11pm I reach home from 5pm mad traffic with bad road.

PH na small city but Rivers State is like 3 times Lagos State so don't compare their road and traffic... Lagos is rhw commercial hub city of Nigeria so you should understand why the traffic congestion... Not mate with any state at all not even fct.

Ph sweet when you're an oil worker or a Yahoo boy (gentlelife50) grin otherwise na frustration go kill u.

Abuja na private and hyping life dey there... No swag... If you like get billions in fct nobody go recognised u. U can't go to club or social gatherings to show up. Life is boring out there. But Lagos awareness dey well... Even uf you jnow get chimgban u go still survive for lag.

I think dashboard should also be accompanied by type of food u eat cost/plate and number of plates u eat.
How many bottles of groundnut and packs of sweet riders have consumed.
How many tablets of Panadol, painkillers or supplements u take.
How many bottles of energy drink u gulp.
How much recharge card and data spent.
Parking and toll fee reciepts.
How many hours u sleep at night.
Picture of the bed u sleep on.
The type of cloths and shoes u wear.
Etc
So we can really get the true picture.

Simple solution is to sign an undertaking of eternal slavery to bolt do 30 trips daily and watch your rating rise beyond belief..
How a company gets away with such fraudulent rating system is something we really need to discuss on this platform!
