I'm back guys.... Due to the devaluation of naira, most Nigerian students now find international tuition fees very scary coupled with the high rate of visa rejection due the insecurity in Nigeria. Thank God for UK that still grants Study visas but their tuition fee is not friendly thereby making it difficult for people living within average income to afford. Here comes Mauritius. Mauritius is a country in the Indian Ocean. They hardly address themselves as Africans lol ... sometime last week, a lady asked me here in mauritius, how is Africa ? though she's Indian decendant but she grew up in Mauritius. Most of them doesn't have an international passport. The country's major source of income is Tourism and Sugar production. They have countless beautiful beaches, their main language is English and French, with their local language called creole. CREOLE is like a pigin French. 15 Likes 1 Share |

Following! How's it easy to get job? |
Re: Mauritius Study And Work by mekanta7(m): 6:53am On Oct 18, 2021 |
Teslason: Getting a job depends on your school arrangement. Most schools that run hospitality courses already have job offers waiting for you. But in a situation where your preferred school doesn't, it might take you few weeks to land a job depending on your location. You have to re-do your medicals and others before that though. 1 Like 1 Share |

mekanta7: Mauritius school fees is also expensive if I remember |
Re: Mauritius Study And Work by mekanta7(m): 9:47am On Oct 18, 2021 |
Pelxmiye: Not really... when compared to others.. let's use SA as a case study... Secondly while searching for schools, you should avoid Big universities and narrow down your search to colleges and Educational Institutes. I have a friend here in Middlesex University located at Flic & flac, their tuition fee is 6kusd, while my institute charges 2500usd 5 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Mauritius Study And Work by Ashirioluwa: 11:18am On Oct 18, 2021 |
Teslason: Always laugh when Nigerians talk about discrimination. The rate of discrimination in Nigeria is higher than most countries in the world. An Hausa man will only give job to Hausa man. Same thing applicable to Yoruba man and Ibo man. Also, Christian vs Muslim 45 Likes 1 Share |

Teslason: Free your mind from hate... the monika before me just said it all... You never cross Murtala Mohammed you don dey reason racism... you better stay back in Nigeria and don't think of travelling... One thing you have to understand is that discrimination is a lot more in Nigeria when compared to Ghana not to talk of another costal line... Nigerian students still dey Siberian, Minsk, and shanghai, places with high rate of racism and still excel not to talk of Mauritius that has Black population ... 19 Likes 3 Shares |

Re: Mauritius Study And Work by mekanta7(m): 5:04am On Oct 19, 2021 |
Limassol: Currently I'm still in the school accommodation for now, but I will be moving out next week to my own rented accommodation. The infrastructure here is absolutely great. As a student your bus pass is free, medicals is free upto some certain extent. The power supply is steady, the power has never gone off since I arrived here. This is a perfect retirement Island for Europeans and Americans. 14 Likes 2 Shares |
