Lol! Nigerians sha!

Bro, even if you have some kind of doubt about someone who has continuously maintained the fact that he’s trying to help the convicted fellow out of sheer compassion and belief that he might be innocent, why can’t you just leave him and stop casting aspersions on his intentions?

Of what essence does you insulting his effort brings you??

You believe that the convicted fellow his guilty as charged, someone else is trying to be neutral and possibly help out in anyway he can, you and your ilks keeps throwing insults at him. This shows lack of discernment to me.

I have been on the sideline, and even though I don’t think I believe the convicted fellow is totally innocent, I still think it’s wrong to continue to disparage people like chantinent who are just trying to make sense of the whole stuff and try to help as much as possible.

In all we do, we should always accept the fact that we would always meet diversity in people’s opinions and beliefs and no matter how logically sound one is, emotions have a lot to do with people’s reasoning all over the world.

Seeing Brian Banks (a recent film representation of a true life story) made understand that truly the American system is not entirely infallible ( although I still strongly appreciate the strong institutions they’ve).

I can only wish the convicted fellow peace if he truly deserves it. If not, I rest my case!

I read through everything, 1stGenAmerican didn’t keep any cool, she actually gave it back to all that came for her hot hot! Lol!

All those that called her names were wrong tho, I feel strongly that it’s irresponsible for one to insult or resort to name calling on a public forum especially when discussing one’s opinion or POV.

This case at hand is quite complicated and I want to believe those in the legal system that has reviewed the case and believe the convicted fellow is guilty as charge (cc 1stGenAmerican) strongly have a reason to do so. But tbh, some words used in passing their verdict on the case and subtle attacks on those who were tilting towards neutrality with the hope that the fellow is innocent left a lot to be desired.

I am just an ordinary Nigerian typing from a corner of my room without any tangible solution or help to render and like I said earlier, Brian banks story made me felt somehow about this case.

May those who deserve peace find it!

Excuse me? Did you just say YOU give ME something to think about?
You, a person that has failed to grasp the basics of evidence? The basics of how this rapist has been convicted on the strength of multiple pieces of incontrovertible, scientific evidence?
You, the person who called for fingerprint evidence to be re-presented and examined on national TV 4.5 years after the commission of the crime?
A person without the intellectual capacity to understand basic scientific evidence and think critically?
A person who lifted a food pic off the internet and lied that he cooked the food on a thread in the food section?
A hustler self proclaimed jack of all trades but unemployed master of none?
You, the professional Nland poster who also owns a wholesale and retail okrika shoe business, is a tracker, runs a writing service and sundry other fictitious businesses and has the time to post on Nland all day, everyday?
A person who is a demonstrated illiterate because only an illiterate uses dictionary words that have no bearing on the message when you are unsuccessfully trying to impress. Free tip - nothing screams illiteracy than improper use of “big” words
A person who heard about a fictitious $150k and promptly cast his lots with a convicted, unrepentant child rapist?
Same you who came on here to state that the trial transcripts are “confidential?”
Same you who disgraced yourself with that ultra-cringeworthy response to George Chidi which only served to highlight your embarrassing lack of social awareness and inability to understand basic sarcasm. Same you who has internet access but has no idea of the stature of that man in Georgia’s journalism?
You, a person that does not understand the implications of the FBI and GBI being part of this investigation? You think these are Ariara police and lawyers?
You, the person who would take on the mantle of online advocate for a person whose lack of good judgment and poor choices led him to life imprisonment after just 2/3 months in the US?
You, the person who does not have enough intelligence to know that collaborating, assisting a felon to break incarceration rules by posting stuff online could come back to haunt you?
Listening to you on this thread, is it any wonder US and Asian jails are filling up with your type? You think your village tortoise sense is superior to properly constituted justice systems?

Ogbeni, YOU are not in a position to give ME anything. There is nothing I can take from criminals and their associates. I simply have nothing in common with such people. God bless you.

Just remember, it’s the same “properly constituted justice system” that jailed the likes of Brian banks, Timothy Atkins, Henry and John McCollum, Central Park five case etc, albeit wrongfully.

In as much as the crime committed was heinous and distasteful, throwing all sense of discernment away just to praise a system that has turned up more than 2400 wrongful convictions since 1989 isn’t quite a “logical” thing to do in a public forum as this.

It’s okay if you decide to judge the convicted fellow by available facts and evidences but that doesn’t mean you throw your face away from the possibility of him being innocent.

May those who deserve peace get it!

Bruh I can’t put this Bah guy in the same category as the ones you named especially since he has tried to scam Nairalander’s with a gold scheme and he lied up n down this thread. To me a man who is innocent and really wants help is going to tell the truth to people who want to help him but he just told lies after lies. My spirit tells me that the people trying to help him will find that he told even more lies than I’m talking about.
That FirstgenAmerican and George guy said that this story was heavy on the news in America and the George guy went back to his powerful activist friend on twitter and told him just what he told us, that the man is full of sh&t.
In the whole America nobody wan help this guy after all these time has passed he came to Nairaland becos he knows most don’t live in America and didn’t know the whole story.

Even a criminal that was helped by people to narrowly escape from rotten in prison is abusing someone trying to prove his own innocence. It is very funny how some millipedes have also resulted in abusing Chatnent? For what exactly? For trying to help a stranger? For all of you abusing Chatnent, I pray you find yourself in a bad situation and you look left and right for help and no one will care to even hear your side of the story talk more of helping.

Yes, properly constituted but flawed nonetheless and that is apparent in the number of those that have been EXONERATED not CONVICTED (like your client here) by DNA evidence. All these people you mentioned, were they convicted by DNA evidence? What % of that 2400 figure were convicted (I didn’t say exonerated o!) by DNA evidence? You can’t just drop half truths, compare apples to apples. Be transparent, don’t continue to mislead people.

I would be the first to say that the US criminal justice system has not been fair to blacks and there are a lot of innocent people of all races serving prison sentences that don’t deserve to be there. The problem is - you supporters club refuse to accept that Bah is not one of those people. I will praise the system because even though it is not perfect, it’s success rate is still a lot higher than it’s failure rate. It ain’t perfect but it is not what you want it to be for Bah!

PLEASE, BIKO, EDAKUN, show us the full 1200+ page transcripts so that we can start the process to exonerate this innocent rapist. It’s been more than a week since this campaign started but still nothing. The burden is on your side to prove that the convict is innocent or do you think those that were exonerated walked on the strength of shouting mobs? 404dev has been asking for the transcripts for days now. He has volunteered to review it but mba, your side refuses to release it. Instead, you preach sanctimonious sermons about discernment. Even the Innocence Project would have to review the transcripts as a starting point.

One of several pieces ( go back and read if you want to know the others ) of evidence against him is DNA. It’s his but it was planted ba? The Japanese ninjas, Italian mafia, UFOs, the bogeyman, Asian triads, Mexican cartel, Malay Yahoo boys, Colombian gangs , or is it our own dear village people that framed him? What was their motivation for framing him for the rape of a 13 year old in a middle class neighborhood in Georgia? Was he framed because of his imaginary $150k or the 6 phantom SUVs that only exist in his head? Or his mythical gold business developed with Ghanaian miners in the villages of Ghana and sold in Japan or was it Hong Kong for USD37,000 per kg. Do you think criminal gangs have time to waste on Naija visitor-turned-migrants with a sketchy past? If they were after him, you think it would not have been easier to make him disappear permanently than go through an elaborate rape scheme?

Since we are on the subject of conspiracy, let’s add a critical thinking class to this:

1) Somehow, they obtained Bah’s DNA from I don’t know where (stole his toothbrush by jumping through his window?) and his fingerprint on the keypad and preserved them so that the true rapist could rape a child with no trace of his own DNA on her but be able to smear Bah’s DNA on certain spots on the child victim’s body? Then they also stole his cellphone so that 2 separate cellphone companies’ cell towers could pick up the pings. Abi, that’s what happened? They somehow manipulated the cell phone tower pings? Perhaps had an old witch fly from Naija for that task? Or the ghost rapist stole his cellphone thus the pings but Bah somehow forgot to report it stolen because he was on that fictitious phone call with a Dr? And that evil Dr woman did not testify to support his shaky alibi even though he was facing life in the slammer ? It’s his DNA but it was planted?

- OR -

2) It’s not his DNA at all. The whole of Georgia judiciary, the Douglas county sheriffs, the FBI, the GBI , the DNA specialists, ALL CONSPIRED to blame this man for a crime that he did not commit because he was the best candidate for fall guy to hide WHAT exactly? What would have been their motivation for this grand scheme? His association with the Taliban? His close relationship with Putin? His Arabian oil wells? Because the CIA was in on it? He was going to snitch on Jared Krushner? Or the MOSSAD wanted to implant a microchip in him and he refused? Or because he refused to bribe all of them ?

Comrade, we could do this all day, grasping at conspiracy theories and making movies in our imagination. I get it! The Naija government is not helping matters, what with one plague after the other or running concurrently sef, making us paranoid - banditry, unknown gunmen, cultists, run away inflation, Ponzi schemes, Boko haram, kidnapping, the exchange rate, fraudulent debit alerts , under-Otedola bridge, herdsmen, etc. All these are enough to make us paranoid, causing panicked peddling of conspiracy theories to explain each new reality. If you want to help an innocent man, go to your local police stations, hire lawyers to help those who can’t help themselves. Start online campaigns to get the innocent released, buy food for those behind the counter.

Abeg, call me when the transcripts are available. Until then, emi ko ni mo ko ba Bah. Jeje l’omo Eko mi nlo. I am the least of Bah’s problems. Let them lock the thread. These mentions are challenging my squeaky clean, unassuming, angelic, quiet image. Thank you!

Since we are on the topic of name calling, I’m not sure if anyone noticed but Mr. Adedoja Olaniyi Bah called me a clown and jeered at me for living in a wooden house (which I don’t) after I gave him sincere advice. Actually, I gave Mr. Adedoja Olaniyi Bah several pieces of great advice free of charge but of course the general consensus felt as if I was trying to set him up. I’m no genius but I might know a few things.

Of course Mr. Adedoja Olaniyi Bah did not heed any of my advice nor did he stop to take many things into consideration. Out of many things that Mr. Adedoja Olaniyi Bah failed to consider or even imagine was that Google alerts is a favorite of some entities here in the US. Allegedly, a few people in a few departments have been getting alerts when the name “Adedoja Olaniyi Bah” as well as his previous name AND his alias appears in a new web entry. Additionally, this thread appears on the first page near the top of the results of a Google search.

To make a long story short, apparently those responsible for Mr. Adedoja Olaniyi Bah fate have been aware of this thread for a while which basically tells me that they have viewed and archived his “evidences” as well as versions of the truth that contradict previous versions of the “truth” given by him. In essence, he has given those tasked with keeping him behind bars a good headstart on doing just that.

But surely the cunning convicted man knew this before I did.

Now, it is time for me to watch this play out from a cheap seat high in the stadium.

Thank you!

The issue with peeps like you is quite obvious and I have mentioned it again and again; lack of discernment. There’s no way in my postulations did I mention conspiracy theory neither did I in anyway suggested the convicted fellow is innocent.

Remember chatinent mentioned that the DNA evidence came unsealed? I don’t know if it’s true or not but that’s not something to think off.

I see you as someone who’s contributing to this topic just to show correctness and also you’ve a close mind.

All the cases I mentioned were not conspiracies as some was even a black on black issue, and again I am not mentioning you because I want you to believe the convicted fellow, for heck sake, I don’t in anyway believe in him too. But issue of innocence or not in this type of case at times has to do with open mindedness if one truly claim to be logical.

Remember, there’s factual and actual innocence? A convicted person might be factually or actually innocent. Actual innocence is when someone else comes up to admit to the crime while factual innocence is when facts available proves the defendant innocent. In this case, the convicted fellow is factually guilty as charged and might probably (please note the word might - the American system has witnessed a lot of this in the recent past) be actually innocent of this particular crime he has been convicted of.

The antecedents of the convicted fellow is not convincing enough neither is his purported demeanour both at the hearing and here on nairaland but still that doesn’t mean he can’t be innocent. Please brother, learn to always be open minded, it would do you a lot of good. And also don’t always see opposing opinions as an “attack” especially on a public forum.

Most importantly, I am not and never will be a supporter to heinous crimes the convicted fellow has been factually convicted to have committed but as a human, I would always be open minded and give room for human errors in any judicial system or process in the face of earth.

Thank you once again

Lol! You’re saying the convicted fellow thinks nairaland members are fools that cant make enquiries and get information themselves, I actually don’t think that’s the case, because if it’s so, he won’t be here expecting help from nairaland members.

I think the convicted fellow has a quite dubious character and might (20-50% for me) not be guilty of this particular crime, but circumstances and facts available has put him in this situation already and he’s hoping to get out of it by some kind of governmental/media influence through this medium.

Ordinarily, his type of case can’t be overturned except there’s an entirely new evidence and his antecedent on this forum cast a big aspersion on him and his true identity.

And just to be clear, I never compared those mentioned cases with the convicted fellow case, I only pointed to them to let the OP I quoted understand that the American system truly is not entirely infallible.

Thank you sir/ma!

@HolarQD you said it all.

I have always maintained an open mind towards this which is why I have always asked questions and demanded for more facts.

I can't just take a stand by hearing only from Mr. Bah even the courts don't work that way.

I believe everything Mr. Bah said and presented here has already been discussed in court...

And the persecutors also presented their own arguments and pieces of evidence which no one here has seen or heard.

The courts have seen pieces of evidence we haven't, they have taken the statements of persons we haven't heard from...

So it is extremely premature for those jumping on the court made mistake bandwagon.

Yes mistakes happen but also note...

Countless persons wrongly accussed and convicted for years have been exonerated by dna evidence once advancements in dna testings were made.

The true allele that was used to convict him has also been used by others to prove thier innocence exonerating them from crimes they have spent long years in jail for (I have earlier shared the link to this).

So like I have said before, I cannot partake on any campaign to prove the innocence of anyone until I have reviewed all the facts of the case (which in this case I haven't and doubt anyone here has either).

Why?

Because even when this goes to appeal, Mr. Bah won't just present his pieces of evidence and call it a day.

No...

They persecutors would also do the same.

And none of us have seen the evidence that was used to nail him in the first trail but Mr. Bah has and reasons best known to him, he has decided not to reveal them.

No personal conviction on my part, I have simply been following and commenting because it IS an interesting thread.

And for the subtle bullying when there are opposing opinions, potential bias is one of the things screened for during jury selection.
Most people want to see justice carried out when a crime is committed. When children are involved, even more so. No one wants a predator walking around free.

But, part of justice is making sure that the right person is incarcerated. And even when we are sure, there is nothing wrong with double checking. The field of science is ever evolving

Can DNA evidence ever be wrong? Yes.
Is it foolproof? Hell to the No!!!

Food for thought in the below article. Charged for the same crime.

Countless very important questions have been thrown your way but this your comment now confirms that you decide which ones to answer and which ones to ignore.

Someone asked earlier about the dna from the facial swap but till now you haven't said anything about it.

Including the reported cctv footage which showed Mr. Bah chasing the victim.

Mr. Bah driving the car the suspect was spotted leaving the crime scene with.

I just hope in court, when the persecutors ask similar questions, you would be allowed to only answer the ones you deem important.

Just finished reading the first article the boys mother shared the transcripts with those willing to help and while reviewing it, the errors where discovered and a dna retest was done.

I have said this countless, no one can determine if an error or mistake was made without properly going through and reviewing the transcripts.
