Study In France - Process And Enquiries Thread by FrenchXpert(f): 1:40pm On Oct 26, 2021 |
I decided to open a thread for France. There is hardly any information for studying in France for Nigerians even when it's one of the cheapest, easiest and most straight forward process among developed countries. If you have any questions or concerns, drop them I will be answering all your questions. I will do my best to include the most necessary information as the thread goes on. First things first, the application window to apply for admission to French Universities started 1st of October and will be closing 31st of December. Update: Application on the portal now closes 15th December. 14 Likes 3 Shares |

Campus France is an organization set up by the French government to aid students through their France study application. They are available in over 150 countries across the world. Here in Nigeria, there are two Campus France offices, in Abuja and Lagos. Very pertinent to note is that you MUST pass through Campus France for any study application to France. They take care of all processes from admission down to obtaining your visa. website: https://www.nigeria.campusfrance.org/ Etudes en France: This is an online portal connected to Campus France where you create an account and have your personal dashboard for all online processes. Campus France is the physical organization; Etudes-en-France is their online platform. website: https://pastel.diplomatie.gouv.fr/etudesenfrance/dyn/public/authentification/login.html?codeLangue=EN The entrance for 2022 began in October and closes 31st December, 2021. Within this period, you make your application to the universities through the portal. A few years back, you could apply directly to schools, now, only a handful of schools permit you to apply directly to their school portal. Applications on school portals are solely reserved for French Nationals and European students. A great usefulness of Campus France is that they afford you the chance to apply to up to 7 universities with just one application. This increases your chance of being admitted to at least one. They however charge an administration fee of N50,000. If you managed to get an admission directly from a school, you will have to manually connect your admission to Campus France and pay the same administration fee. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

pls What do you mean by "free if you have a guarantor" ?? |
Re: Study In France - Process And Enquiries Thread by FrenchXpert(f): 6:42pm On Oct 26, 2021 |
Ge0grapher: If you have someone that can stand in as guarantor for you; a parent, friend, or relative, then that's enough. They do not need the money to be in your account. If you are sponsoring yourself, then you need to have about N3.5million to show. 5 Likes 1 Share |

FrenchXpert: What's the cheapest tuition fee? 1 Like |
Re: Study In France - Process And Enquiries Thread by FrenchXpert(f): 7:28pm On Oct 26, 2021 |
Dre183: Most French Public Universities have a fixed price. You will either be paying; €170 for undergraduate; €243 for masters or €2770 for the undergraduate; €3770 for the masters program. To clarify all universities used to charge the first category for tuition. In 2019, The French Government decided to differentiate the fees of European and Non-European students. All Universities are expected to now charge the second category, but a number of universities wave the tuition such that the fees are the same for both National and International Students i.e €170 for undergraduate; €243 for masters. Depending on the universities you apply to, you will be paying either of those fees. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Very well, thank you for opening this thread. When are most schools opening in france? Do we have schools opening in Jan. Or Feb.? Yes for masters programs. Thank you. 1 Like |

Davidson5: September is the entry session. Very few schools take in January and visa acceptance is very low. Your best bet is to go through campus France whose window opens for the September session every year. 3 Likes |

Language Requirement A number of French higher institutions offer courses taught in English. A language proficiency certificate like IELTS or TOEFL is not required. This is not usually required for English-speaking countries as Nigeria. If you wish to study in French however, you are required to have attained a B2 Level in DELF, TCF or TEF. This is the requirement for most institutions. 8 Likes 1 Share |

First off, it is imperative I thank you for this post; thank you. Please, is there any fully funded scholarship available? FrenchXpert: |
Re: Study In France - Process And Enquiries Thread by FrenchXpert(f): 1:11pm On Oct 27, 2021 |
adejoro1988: For all Public Universities, PhD is 380Euros but it's near impossible to find a PhD programme taught in English. You must also contact the schools directly for their requirement as Campus France does not deal will PhD applicants. There are Private schools that offer PhD programmes in English but their fees and requirements are usually really high. |

essy4060: Eiffel Scholarship is a very popular one, fully funded but available for select courses for master and PhD level only. A good article on it: https://www.opportunitiesforafricans.com/french-government-eiffel-excellence-scholarship-programme-2022/ Campus France has a website for available scholarships you can check that also: https://campusbourses.campusfrance.org/#/catalog 3 Likes 2 Shares |
