Either ways it’s going to fly . The total money needed is about 6 million naira. But just have it in mind that you have to send in funds after gotten admission before the school gives necessary documents for visa application

Hello everyone.
My wife is an Erasmus scholar, she is presently in Belgium for 6months, she will be resuming to Norway (NTNU) by January and she will be spending 18months.
We are both Nigerians.
Can you please guide me on family unification requirements and process? how long does it take for the visa to be granted or how can we go about having the visa granted on time?
Thanks

Hello guys, this is my first time here and all the comments here has been so helpful to me. But please can someone explain to me how to send my scratch card along with my WAEC result for Norway application. And does anyone have any idea if the Norway schools accept a transcript uploaded by me, if the said transcript soft copy was sent to me by my school? I would be very grateful if I can get a reply to my questions.

You can take a picture of the card scratched already then upload just as you uploaded the rest of your documents then Title the upload.

Schools acknowledge only transcript sent directly from your university and not from you.

Hey hey hey guys please no hating or figting here. We are all hoping for success here. Please bandeco calm down and just allow guys express themselves, even if they want to appeal to Norwegian Universities commission if there's such a body let them go ahead. Please let's maintain the sanity and professionalism of this thread.

So back to main points

Congrats to the NTNU, UIT and UIS champions while we wait for our own mails and eventual admission letters.

For those who have admissions and dont have a place to stay yet, I suggest you contact the school and inform them about the development from this side ,they may be able to make excuses for you. On another hand, look up for one or two peeps who are already in Norway via this thread and strike a deal with them.

For those who are not able to honour the admission because of funds, hmmm I really don't think you should let the opportunity pass, try anything...Really wish I could help.

Please did anyone apply to UNI BERGEN here? Or Still waiting for an official letter of acceptance or decline of aapplication from UIS like me Getting confused from the silence.
hello, please I Wookiee few minutes ago but they are requesting for proof of funding. What can I do?

Hello everyone,
Good morning to you all.
Please oo, I'm calling on the senior colleagues that have gone through this process before, ---and every other person with pertinent idea.
I'm applying to University of Bergen, and one of the documents required by the school is this "course descriptions/syllabi".
There's no way I can get this document from my school, so please I want to ask if there's any other way to go about this.
I will really appreciate any contribution

Hello, Just to answer your question, the acceptance rate is good at the University of Bergen. From my experience am currently studying at NTNU, Trondheim (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) which the cost of living is affordable and you can hustle too. Compared with Bergen which has a higher cost of living and also you need a lot to connect to live. I will suggest that you also apply to NTNU Trondheim,
UIS Stavanger and more

Good morning guys. Please I need help in an inquiry. About the schools require your school send hard copy of your transcript. I have an official copy, can I send it directly to the school via courier or it must be from my Nigeria school. Also! Is it possible to get the copy back?

Also! Just for admission application. I have someone that want to sponsor the block account currently in Europe. It is possible for someone to find the block account in your name from another country?

And can I use another person in Nigeria as proof of funds. Uploading his bank statement. He is younger than me in age. Will I be needing any supporting documents? I want to upload his three months bank statement. Please it is urgent inquiry.

Hello, I am currently at NTNU, Trondheim doing my Master Program, So I feel I can update you on few things, concerning joining your wife in Norway. First, it is great she will be spending at least 1and a half in Norway, for immigration issues the best place to get information is on the UDI website.
But to help with the real tips, when you apply for your visa, two things are very important because she is a student and wants to bring over her partner, you will need to provide proof of fund requested by the immigration of Norway which is estimated around NOK126,400 or 12,640 Euros (in a European or Norwegian Bank account must prefer in her name seen she is here before you ) and secondly, her accommodation/housing contract must be able to fit a family of two, which means she must stay in a standard one-bedroom apartment. Other information on the UDI website can also be followed to clarify your needs.

How long it will take before your case is processed (before they issue your visa) will depend on your wife's nationality. Family immigration (reunification) visa processing time for Nigerians is currently 10 months according to udi website. It was initially 4 - 6 months when I applied but was changed in October 2021.

You can never get them to grant it to you on time. They will issue it when they are ready to issue it. Although you can ask for your case to be prioritized but you must have VERY STRONG reasons why they should move your case above those that applied before you. I deliberately emphasized very strong reasons.

If you have children, you must all submit your DNA samples. If not, you may still be required to submit your sample. The test is conducted to verify if there is actually a relationship between you all (husband/wife or father/mother/child). This applies to you if you are citizens of African countries, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and some countries who have poor birth certificate records.

I believe your wife would have sent her living expenses 126,000 nok. You as the spouse will then have to document (show that you have 161,000 nok) in your bank account. You are only exempted from the income requirement if you and your wife are EU citizens.

@uchechukwu007
Make the mistake of sending the hard copy you have and kiss your chance good bye. The transcript hard copy must come from your school and not from you. The copy you have with you which I believe is a student copy should only by attached as soft copy when applying on the portal. Your school has to send the hard copy I repeat.

You can use anybody as sponsor provided the amount in the account statement is equal to or more than 126,000 nok and also the person writes a sponsorship letter. The country which the account statement is coming from is irrelevant.

I shared a link on this thread a while ago where you can check the competitiveness of a course (the number of people that applied, the number of people that were offered admission and also the number of people that actually resumed for the course). I can't remember the exact page it was on. Search and you shall find it.

No one can answer if their visa is hard to get or not. You will never be denied their visa provided you meet their stringent requirements.
