Like I said before all these your epistles....All your analysis maybe true but not in Nigeria and it won't be in a very long time...Religion, culture, society like you said, full stop. No many talk.

I'm not a Redpiller. Lacking in critical thinking and analysis y'all girls like using is getting old & stale. I pointed my thoughts out to you with the norms in Nigeria, you are the one doing oversabi bringing western stuffs that does not apply anywhere in Nigeria to the conservation, critical thinker!!

This is Nairaland, not dollar or pound land

Oh please shut it. Then tell redpillers to stop using divorce statistics of the west to form arguments. Tell them to stop using the creations of white men to argue since it doesn't reflect Nigeria. Tell them to stop using single motherhood rates of the west since it doesn't reflect Nigeria. Just shut up abeg

If it doesn't confirm your bias, it is incorrect. Go and argue with the researchers and tell them that. As per you have more authority on the subject than those with the credentials

Nothing you wrote here is correct.

E pain am. I've said it before, it seems you are the one lacking in critical thinking & understanding. The guys stats are reflecting in Nigeria unlike yours that is a big lie like;

Girls are seeing marriage for scam it is...which scam?? Scam amd they marrying their ancestors as 6th wife, Regina Daniels, that alaafin of Oyo young wife too and many others. Shut up please!!

Re: The Desperation Of Men by Nobody: 9:36am On Nov 02, 2021
They do not reflect Nigeria at all. What are the divorce rates in Nigeria? Can you pull up actual statistics for Nigeria? Single motherhood rates too. What are the actual Nigerian Statistics for it? I'm not talking of one or two socialites or celebrities but solid empirical data as evidence it's a widespread thing in Nigeria. You're the one vastly lacking in common sense, critical thinking and analysis would obviously not be your forte like the rest of your ilk. I already said there was a caveat: If more women were properly educated and cultural expectations lessened, they'll be more acceptance of alternative lifestyles. You even proposed 50
years before anything of that sort will happen which inevitably shows, those research findings will apply.

If you don't want me using Western research and statistics to counter the same western statistics and research redpillers use as crutch for their misogyny. Then they should bring up empirical data for NIGERIA and use it as basis for their arguments.

So indirectly or even directly what OP & some the female comments are saying or rather admitting is ever since they were only in relationships for money??

That's not even bad enough but now they are 'woke' they are demanding more which ultimately means the money must still be there!!

Example you want an intelligent tall guy with broad shoulders, big chest and 100 abs grin but nigga must still have paper, if he's poor. it's No.

Are you dumb? I already addressed those things in my earlier responses to you and gave a caveat. Go back and reread slowly because what you're asking of me is to continually repeat myself.

"Most girls marry ancestors as 6th wife" are you going off assumptions or there's been research findings on this?

fuuq outta here!! it's not a fucking assumption, don't you go out? You need a research first?? Are you not in Nigeria and don't you see the happenings..

So, you just read researches and log on Nairaland and spew shit from your mouth?? God, I've been arguing with someone who might be highly introvert and doesn't leave the house

No I don't see any of that happening and you said "most" which means majority of women would settle for being 6th wife. You can't make such outrageous claims without anything backing it up. Then again, your claim doesn't factor in alot of things such as: level of education, poverty, class etc. so for example, a college educated woman will gladly become 6th wife to a geriatric fellow. A woman who comes from an upper class background or even middle class sef will settle by playing sixth fiddle to a man? A man even marrying up to that amount is a clear pointer he is not educated and it's a surefire way of children entering into poverty because how will he share his time & resources amongst his offspring? Even if he is rich, he is parvenu because there are certain
behaviours exhibited that are not socially acceptable when belonging to an upper class. Don't tell me you're using Ned Nwoko as basis for this generalization? Because that is an entirely exceptional case.

This was what I said, following after the above bolded statement:

Of course it would not reflect. Nigeria hasn't even solved the most basic problems. The country lacks a database for its citizens not to now even talk of empirical data on alot of things but there are certain truths that'll still apply if the populace wasn't as poor, uneducated and largely conservative. The chauvinists mostly use western male driven narratives to generalize Nigerian women and treat subjective experiences as objective facts. This is partly due to, as earlier mentioned, a lack of empirical data in the country. So they substitute anecdotes for facts and whatever facts they fetch are from data gotten from the west however dubious or false. It's the same thing I'm doing, except reverse by counteracting these peddled lies with correct information

And then later gave a caveat:
"Certain truths will still apply if the populace wasn't as poor, uneducated and largely conservative"

And further went down to explain the interweaving of several factors.

It doesn't make you right though because you're coming from a point of view that is very surface level, neglecting all other aspects that crystallizes the need for marriage.

This is the first comment you've been talking about THAT YOU POSTED ON THE THREAD and later mentioned for me to see it to which you did TWICE but let me respond sha.

I'm failing to see the correlation between what you've said and what the OP is talking about. There was no mention of preferences or money. You're the one who setup a straw man and began to attack it. You also act like men don't state their preferences as well in the pursuit of romantic relationships and even marriage.

There's a difference between being involuntarily single and being intentionally single?

Mtcheeewww. E be like say this one never hear of family planning and contraceptives.

All these teenage pregnancies and associated 'menace' is only an issue in countries where there is a general aversion to sex education.

Do I even need to tell you that the abortion rate is low, very low in countries where they are legalised?

So, no. Sexually aware/educated women = sexually responsible women

Educated women = awareness and sound decisions when it comes to marriage and number of kids to have.

All those loneliness talks are just sham. And you can easily sell it to the women here because they don't know better.

The woke Nordic countries don't seem as degenerated as your beloved patriarchal and religious and values-filled Africa.

No woman's life will be destroyed because she's not hinged to a man in any way - whether through kids, marriage or a family. undecided

Men are going their own way, yet they are the one shooting up women and stalking and raping them because of sexual rejection and rejection to relationships. For all of the bitterness y'all claim feminists have, how many of us are going out to shoot men because we can't find a date?

So, no. The lack of suitable partners for marriage will not both affect us, or affect us the same way and our responses to such will definitely not be the same.

Even here on Nairaland, call it pretentiousness, but you'll never know if some lady likes a guy, even back when the 'toasting threads' were a thing, you'll find women declaring their feelings for a guy. Let it be a man that likes a girl, he'll troll her to heaven and hell and back, shame the living daylight out of her and do all manners of despicable thing to her because he wants her attention.

The men that ask women out normally are the outliers. The women that shoot up men because of rejection are also outliers. So it is a big fat lie when y'all come up with the 'women don't take rejection well' line. No matter how hurt or pained she is, a rejected lady is hardly thinking of ways to meet a man on the road and rape him in revenge.

And just in case my point isn't clear up to this point: I'm saying the undesirability of men will not affect women (equally) provided the above conditions are met. That is basically all round education for women- sexually, financially, emotionally, mentally...etc.

Very apt.
I owe you a kiss for this post. Please remind me when we meet. grin

Your insecurity marvels me. This thread wasn’t comparing men and women’s successes. And you thinking that dating women for their “fertile body” is okay to say is further proof of your ignorance.
Maybe if women haven’t been oppressed for so long they’d have the same opportunities as men, just like black people against white people.

Your desperation to belittle women and say they have nothing apart from the little things you mentioned took you over, at least you have gotten that out of your heart. You should read more books or do more research.

You say these disgusting things then get mad when the “feminists” hate you back.

Next time, read with your brain...if you have one, and not your feelings.

Were women sleeping, when the oppression started?

Why did women allow themselves, to be oppressed?

This isn’t the reality of things in the real world. Many women all over the world still need and will continue to need men.

Women have always been selective of the guys they mate with, a woman can reject 20 guys only to date a married guy with three side chicks.

There’s something called the pareto principle - it states that 80% of women are competing for the top 20% of guys. Most guys know this and are steady on their grind to join the top 20%. Most guys in this top 20% don’t even want relationships.

If women were as strong as guys, women will rape guys too. Have you seen the number of women using juju to trap men? Getting men for themselves against the man’s will. Isn’t that just as bad as rape?

Even working women still want men with money, women having their own money will not reduce their need for men, it only increases their requirements/standard for their ideal man.

Most men just want to have sex, it’s the women who demand relationships. It’s the same all over the world, even in woke societies. Go on any dating app, you will see women with words like “I’m not here for casual sex, one night stand or flings, I need something serious that will lead somewhere” bla bla. Go to churches there are women rolling on the floor, buying their own gowns and ring as a show of faith to getting a man. Take a look at any any pre-wedding pics thread on nairaland and see who has the “God when, I tap into this, I’m next” comments.

TLDR; Women will always need men. A woman rejecting a man doesn’t mean she doesn’t need men, it means she doesn’t need that particular man.
