Good afternoon guys, I'm new here and I am glad to be. I have been granted admission for fall 2022 with 18k + Value of tuition and I have admission and offer letter to this effect. I am about to start my visa application and I have gone through the Canadian embassy website. I just want to know if I also still have to show any personal proof of funds as well? Also, I'm currently a corper, so I won't say I have a full time employment to use as home tie but I'm going for Ms in mechanical engineering and my father has an engineering company hat is relatively small to medium scale. Is this okay to use as home to show I will be taking over or something after my studies. Generally, I just need all the help I cannot ace this application. I have also been denied US visa twice before and have no travel history, could this affect my fit for visa approval ? . Thank you so much as you answer my questions guys |

Congrats to everyone that has received PPR I would like to ask how a gift deed is prepared, I intend have my dad transfer 5 million Naira to me as cost of living expenses for one year and with a promise to send another 5 million for the next year of study after on year. My dad only does property business at the moment with no tax clearance and much documents, should I still use his SOA? If I add gift of deed do I still need to ask him to write a sponsorship letter since I am the primary sponsor and he is supporting with living expenses for both years? Can I just add his SOA and document of his properties? I am yet to apply, I am just preparing all the documents I need Please I need the gurus input and anyone else that has an idea Thanks |

Please Nairalanders, I need your advice... I got a tuition waiver scholarship that waived almost 80% of the fee and I would also be receiving stipends of close to 16,000cad yearly... Do I need to still show proof of funds in my visa application? I want to use my mums bank statement but she doesn't do any business. She is just a landlady of a small property in Abia state. And even the documents for the landed property is not here. What do you advise I do please? 1 Like |

Mummy4life1: Mummy wa, your account statements were not clear is the main red flag for this application. If you plan to reapply, try to use MBS and tighten other loose ends. Thanks. |

Bobomaigida: Yes I’ve ordered my GCMS note already. It should arrive this month. It was changed from 1996 to 1995 (just like my passport). So my decision letter from the school Carrie’s the same date of birth as my passport. Really confused though |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Osemigho: 1:24pm On Nov 06, 2021 |
lilangel20: I'm not an expert and my knowledge my be outdated. Your tuition balance is $900 and lining expenses and fees about 14,000 (if single with no dependent). So, your stipend is very good and covers it. You have less to worry about sponsor, but you must not make a very critical mistake. When you fill one of those IRCC forms that ask for source of funds, you should write "INRS Scholarship". If you don't, the VO may and may not look at it when making decisions. Try to write the INRS in full, so the VO don't have to google like I did to know the meaning. Finally, if you are single and your parent get small money, let them send you 500k and 1m naira to support your application. in their letter of moral support, let them hail your academic abilities and that they gave you that money to help with your application and travel fees. I call it letter of moral support, not financial support, so VO does not tag them your financial supporter. You can also get their MBS. If your parents no get money, but you get like 1m to 2m, let them just wrote letter of moral support alone with no transfer of money. You should also attach your MBS. These are what I think to the best of my knowledge, which may be outdated. All the best. 6 Likes |

Hello teejhaay As a fresh graduate who is currently serving his fatherland, the Visa Officer is not expecting you have an establishment in financial and personal assets in your home country.. So submitting your personal proof of funds may not be really mandatory as we have seen many applicants here getting their Visa without submitting their SOA or submitting an SOA with limited funds, but take note, you must submit your Sponsors SOA and also your sponsor must show full or total commitment to your studies all through your stay in Canada.. So your sponsor must submit all necessary documents to back up his claims.. And yes, you must also convince the Visa Officer as the applicant that you are one of the Directors in your Father's Engineering company and you will be coming back to the country to use the experience you would have gained in Canada to help take your Father's company to greater heights in the Engineering sector. But to fulfil all righteousness, you can submit your SOA even if you do not have enough funds there and make sure you really do your homework as regards your sponsor and also your Home tie, as a fresh graduate, you can use your parents, family members and work(PPA) as home ties... Hope this helps.. Peace teejhaay: 1 Like |

The tuition fee was higher like close to 20,000cad, after the scholarship waiver, it dropped to 4500cad. And I am to receive close to 16,000cad yearly. I wasnt even asked by the school to pay the fees yet but from the explanation of the waiver letter, I picked that i still have 4500cad to pay. If 4500cad is remove, I would be left with like 12000cad Osemigho: |
