If the previous baptism is not by immersion, he would need to do another baptism which is by immersion. Our Lord Jesus was baptized by immersion. Read Matthew 3:13-16. Mark 1:9. |

Necessity1:Jesus Christ never said immersion was the only way to baptism, neither did John the Baptist. In fact, if you go back to where God Himself decreed baptisms as a sign, He Himself spoke of it, in relation to His New Covenant, as a sprinkling of pure water to wash away all forms of idolatry from the lives of His own - Ezekiel 36 vs 25 - 27 and we all know that Jesus Christ is the very Word out of God's own mouth and so He would never go against God's own Truth since He is, after all, God’s own Truth. So, tell whoever deceived you info believing immersion as the only kind of baptism by water acceptable by God that he or she is nothing but a Liar and a false teacher who nothing of the Truth of God. |

Kobojunkie: Kobojunkie: Are u saying that based on d above, you cant tell us d difference between paradise and the kingdom of God despite your claim that paradise and the kingdom of God are two different things? Can't u state Where is the kingdom of God and where paradise is? You said Jesus didn't ascend into heaven (kingdom of heaven) after resurrection, where did he ascend to? Any scriptural backing? Where did u get ur opinion that "Baptism is the door into the Kingdom of God it a must one be baptized before granted entry into the Kingdom of God". |

lexy2014:Again You are the one here who concluded that the thief on the cross entered into the Kingdom of God when none of what Jesus Christ said to Him indicates that at all. So, I ought to be the one expecting answers from you in this. Jesus Christ said He would see the man that day in paradise, not Kingdom of God, and we all know Jesus Christ did not ascend into Heaven- Kingdom of Heaven- until after He rose from the dead. So, where do you get your own story from? Read John 3 vs 1 - 21 and Mark 16 vs 17-19, on what Jesus Christ taught on salvation, entering into the Kingdom and the place of baptism by water.. being born of water. Also, read Matthew 7 vs 13 - 14 and Luke 13 vs 22 - 30, to learn of the existence of two gates into the Kingdom of God. |

Every church with its rules. If you are not comfortable with the doctrine of one church pls go to another one. Just make sure its a Bible believing church. |

Yemi7up:There is no such thing as immersion as correct kind of baptism. God Himself described the ritual, in relation to His New Covenant, as a sprinkling of pure water to wash away the stains of idolatry on His people, this in Ezekiel 36 vs 25 - 27. And we know Jesus Christ never stated anywhere in His teaching that only those who experience an immersion in water are those baptized and saved. No, instead Jesus Christ's stipulation regarding it is that it be done in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. What this means is any doctrine that teaches immersion as the only recognized way is a lie, and not of God or Jesus Christ. |

Kobojunkie: It's a good thing though that water Baptism doesn't qualify anyone for eternal life. Next: What is Baptism? If Baptism has to do with Dipping or Immersion The English word baptism is derived indirectly through Latin from the neuter Greek concept noun báptisma (Greek βάπτισμα, "washing, dipping", which is a neologism in the New Testament derived from the masculine Greek noun baptismós (βαπτισμός), a term for ritual washing in Greek language texts of Hellenistic Judaism ... If Baptism has to do with Dipping , Immersion or washing, I don't know how it can other than by immersion |
Re: Is It Necessary To Baptize Again After Changing Church? by pfadom: 5:17pm On Nov 07, 2021 |
Do you baptise in the name of a church or in the name of Jesus? Baptism strictly means being dead to sin and self and alive to Christ Jesus. Except the Church is not a Bible believing one, it's done once and for all. However, if you lacked the understanding of baptism and salvation at the first experience, it may be expedient do to do again. |
Re: Is It Necessary To Baptize Again After Changing Church? by Kobojunkie: 5:26pm On Nov 07, 2021 |
TenQ:According to God in Ezekiel 36 vs 25, in regards to His New Covenant, God said He will sprinkle pure water on His people to cleanse them from their idols. Surely you see that God indeed deems it necessary for those of His who will partake in His offer to them through Jesus Christ. In John 3 vs 1 - 8, Jesus Christ decree that except a man be born-again- born from water and Spirit- He cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. The same Jesus Christ came to men preaching preaching same message of repentance that John the Baptist, who came before Him preached , the message of Repentance, and According to John in Matthew 3 vs 7 - 11, water baptism is a mark , a witness, that one has chosen Repentance, a new birth. Before He leaves the earth, Jesus Christ, though He is never recorded to have baptised anyone Himself, this since baptism is a transition from the Old way to the New way ("washing away of sins" to "forgiveness of sins", He sends His followers out to baptize those who believe in order that they may be saved - Mark 16 vs 16-19 Surely, you must see that without baptism, there is no eternal life, since without gaining entry into the Kingdom of God also means one remains condemned to die I.e. perish in th grave. |

Baptism is spiritual.it looks ordinary but it's not.I don't know about rccc.i attend winners and they accept other pentecostal baptism certificate.but I choose to redo another.i felt a fresh commitment to God. A record is kept in heaven when someone is baptized. On a lighter note, having my name twice in God's book is not a bad idea. |

I do not think it is necessary to get baptized again. As long as it was baptism by immersion, then you're good to go. I got baptized by immersion in RCCG. I left there and joined Christ Embassy years ago. During my Foundation School, they asked me if I have been baptized before, I said yes. I did not get baptized again. |

kingjoe:There is no such thing as having your name twice in the God's book. Also, Baptism indicates a Repentance from the Old to the New...not a renewal. The things of God are not to be handled in the ways that men do their affairs. |
