Please don't waste your energy in this matter because it has become clear to me that he knows nothing of what he is saying. A man who says Nigeria invited chadian forces into Nigeria knows nothing about what he is saying.

Thank you Bru, you are right.

And the PMB government still refers to them as Bandits.

Lost for words.
Please stop this, declaring or not declaring someone terrorist does not stop in any way deployment of state apparatus against them, does not stop the military and law enforcement agants going for kidnappers (way it becomes rampant as it now), we have seen how states formed special units to go for arms robbers and thieves when they were terrorising people, I think all this debate of terrorist or non terrorist is just a waste of time, our metric should be is the govt doing enough? We have seen the military deployed in NW, what's holding them back.

We took delivery of over 100 armoured vehicles last night. Dongfeng.

It's seems the Nigeria Army has finally settled with the Bigfoot MRAPs.
100 bigfoot MRAPs, and 100 piece of the Dongfeng MRAPs.
A good number, I must confess.

I don't have enough thank you's to say for this post.

How supposed educated people continue to make such a meaningless argument is beyond me.

The groups have the full state machinery deployed against them, from air Power to significant, very significant land Force deployment.

Even if the FG were to declare them terrorists, people like Komekn's would still not be satisfied with the designation.

Your expectations and mine are on completely different LEVELS.

The NA is probably close to 200, 000 personal. And we can project to assume we have probably 150, 000 combatants with at least 100,000 on active duty on multiple fronts across Nigeria.

How many Armoured vehicles on different variations fo we need certainly not hundreds but thousands..

200 MRAPS is literally a drop in the ocean.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH AT ALL.

Remember we have been buying over the years, I'm sure some would be fixed/repaired....what we are buying now, is not to stock the entire army, what we are buying is for the offensive.

Now I understand that the Nigerian army is trying to stop the use of Toyota trucks in the front line. First ordered about 52 MRAPs from DICON still awaiting delivery and with the 60 isotrex legion MRAPs that has been delivered, the 60 APC that was recently delivered and now receiving 100 Bigfoot MRAP together with 100 Dongfeng armored vehicles and don't forget that the army has recently placed order for the new light weight MRAPs proforcce is developing. Now I think not just the Nigerian airforce and navy are doing smart procurements the army is also trying to keep up. God bless President buhari for giving us this new service chiefs especially the chief of defense staff Gen. Lucky Irabor

Diction and designation create definition and that in itself gives the legal standing which creates the framework on all fronts to RESPOND WITHOUT ANY RESTRAINT to this menace to society with strongest actions possible.

To answer the question you raised in bold.

The PMB government has COMPREHENSIVELY FAILED BY ANY GIVEN UNIT OF MEASUREMENT.

This government is beyond incompetent.

kabe1:
Nigerian army has so far received

- 60 units of Type-89

- 100 units of Dongfeng Mengshi 4 x 4

- 100 units of CS/VP3 ( not yet delivered)

- 60 units of Legion MRAP from the UAE

- An unknown number of PF Viper and ARA MRAPs

That's more than 320 units of armoured protected vehicles for the Nigerian army.

All vehicles purchased brand new.

Am sure we have received close to 400 APCs this year alone if we add locally produced ones. We have not even talked of the old ones already in use and It's normal to expect more with this year's supplementary budget.

Secondly, We have less than 20,000 troops fighting in North East.
This procurement is a major one for men in frontline and not a drop in the ocean as you claimed.

You can't have all troops in APCs. If you add 400 APCs to what we have already am sure we should be able to move about half in protected vehicle if need be.

You don't understand why the people are crying for FG to declare bandits terrorist.
Its more to protect the image of our forces.
Any form of engagement can be used to fight a group that have been declared terrorist.
But against a mere criminal, there is a limit to the type of attack you can carry out against them. iPod are terrorists according to the FG, so what ever the military does it the east, the FG can defend it in the face of international community and claim the action is necessary in other to clear the terrorists.

But of the group aren't terrorist, FG will answer for use of excessive force

According to a security expert.

The guy that mentioned bandits is even closer than you cos the terrain looks like that of North west. The dressing, the looks everything is more similar to North west than Borno.
