N60,000 Monthly Job Or Uber? by helpadvice: 11:36am On Nov 11, 2021 |
Hello ladies and gentlemen, please I need your advice urgently. Currently employed on a 60K monthly salary with accommodation. But sometime ago I applied for Moove Uber before I started my current job and now they reached out to me with congratulations that I have been selected for their drive to own Uber stuff and I should come finalize and pick up the car, that it's ready with current batch. I applied for the Moove then because it was the brand new 2016 Corolla and that was something I felt would be worth giving it a shot and doing it. But now I have a job doing and it's sort of stressful and very demanding, however, the Uber job will be stressful too, right? I want to know from those with the experience with Moove Uber, is it worth trying for drive to own, can someone cope from start to finish, is it a feasible venture or another pipe dream? Should I quit my job for this or remain on my job? I don't want to make a mistake. Please advice me. Thank you 11 Likes 3 Shares |

sonssyo:Thanks for the advice. Please like how much can one earn in a month driving to own with Moove Uber, considering they will also be deducting their own money for the car payment? Because I'm a family man, so I need to be sure I can still cater for my home 7 Likes |

If no accommodation I would have advised UBER but make more findings within your vicinity how lucrative UBER is ,the money you are likely to make and the one you will be remitting to the car owners and also if you can rent accommodation from it or if you have alternative free accomodation you can manage for the main time before you settle down with the UBER if you find out that it is very lucrative in your area. You are welcome. 11 Likes 3 Shares |

Obviously, the job might offer some sort of security and all, but if you are diligent, you could easily double this with Uber. And more so, you can take breaks, take care of your health and work at your pace. 16 Likes 2 Shares |

Keep the 60k job, since it comes with accommodation. Find a good working class lady that earns at least 100k monthly. Friend her, chyke her, propose her and marry her. Both of you should live in that accommodation. Then watch as your life would improve gradually. You're welcome! 51 Likes 6 Shares |

I would rather do uber than 60k job. BTW I am an experienced bolt driver based in abuja. I am looking for a partner who can provide me a car to drive on Bolt platform, either on weekly remittance or hire purchase basis. Thank you. 2 Likes |

I'll recommend Uber. If you're diligent and consistent you'll make more than that. What can 60k afford in this economy 1 Like |

Just so you know, Uber is very stressful, I mean you've gotta be ready to face many obstacle, even series of debts. Those showing their Uber earnings won't tell you the ugly side. No money is worth more than your mental health. 19 Likes 1 Share |

Non. 60k job and Uber gig is not sustainable in the long run especially in Lagos, it's just to rack up savings before you venture into something else. Learn digital skills at night after the days hustle, get a good laptop and internet connection... First off, you need to know your strengths if you decide to earn online. Check the www.websitelearners.com...i bet you'd learn alot from there more than you did in the four walls of any school. You need skills to make money online, it can be photo editing, graphic design, video editing, search engine optimization, digital marketing, e-commerce website development etc. Use glo to access night data..it's N50 for unlimited YouTube access from 12 - 5am. Learn importation on YouTube by following and subscribing to "Jubilant James". Learn Business, e-commerce, Facebook amd instagram Ads by following and subscribing to "Courage Ngele" and "Ken Ndubuisi". Learn vlogging, blogging, affiliate marketing aswell...the list is endless to say the least. search, Follow and subscribe on YouTube this popular tech channel "websitelearners"...you'd learn a lot from there more than you ever did in the four walls of a classroom. The future is tech, don't sleep on it. You need lots of data, food and zeal to learn for 6 months consistently...after you must have mastered the skill, go to LinkedIn and craft a good profile. Go to www.enhancecv.com and build your resume. Look for fellow skillsets specialists within your chosen field, introduce yourself and tell them you'd like to work on some projects with them for free so you can build your portfolio from there. Create a paypal account, sign up on freelance sites where you can get remote work (US, Canada, Australia, Estonia, Germany), you can earn as much as $20 per gig daily as a beginner. Goodluck brother, remain blessed. 46 Likes 12 Shares |

60k meant a lot to me as salary because I had to wait for a whole 30days before earning it. I sat down at a point in my life, and thought about my life , like for how long would I continue waiting for 30days before earning 60k. No time for friends, no time for family, you earn the money, and gets broke within 2weeks. I left the job , and within 2weeks of resigning, and realizing how much I earn and spend within those time, I hated myself for accepting such a salary for 1year+. Instances, when I was earning the salary, my sub doesnt exceed 1k in a month, now, my sub is 8k in a month, and so many other instances I cant narrate here. @OP, I have no advise for you. Just read my experience , and advise yourself. The ball is in your court. Modified: for those quoting me, in life, you have to take risk, if not, you would be stagnant no matter how much you try to move forward. OP's own is better. He has an a sure alternative which is driving. In as much as nairaland is a battlefield for some tribalists, political oppositions, nairaland is a goldmine for some people that are ready to utilise opportunites. There was a thread about how to make money bla bla bla, and the OP talked about selling stuffs for people remotely and earning commission. I picked interest in cars, despite the fact that I was working, and the first month I started, I sold like 3cars for people I never knew from anywhere, and only one person sent me commission of 30k, and others went AWOL. I decided to quit my job and go fully into this, and I told some friends about my plans, and they were like hah, why would I want to leave my job now despite people complaining about job scarcity and economic hardship, and they asked what would happen if I leave my job for the car hustle and things seizes, and I told them that this life is all about RISK. I resigned from my job, and a week later, I sold a female soldier highlander at Ojo barrack, and I earned 150k from the deal, that is almost 3months salary. Deal doesnt always come but once it does, it covers a lot. I have my time, sanity, and I earn more. So many things I cant write here but like I said, OP, the ball is in your court. Patronize me for genuine , quality affordable luxury wristwatches. 31 Likes 1 Share |
