You're nothing but a fool, let the driver ask cux Africans are used to abuse anything and take advantage of it, it's for the driver security to know where his/her client is heading.

If you don't like the question, get a car and drive yourself, you can't enter my car cux of the money you want to pay me and still be bossy.

Non.

60k job and Uber gig is not sustainable in the long run especially in Lagos.

Learn digital skills, get a good laptop and internet connection...

First off, you need to know your strengths if you decide to earn online.

Check the www.websitelearners.com...i bet you'd learn alot from there more than you did in the four walls of any school.

You need skills to make money online, it can be photo editing, graphic design, video editing, search engine optimization, digital marketing, e-commerce website development etc.

Use glo to access night data..it's N50 for unlimited YouTube access from 12 - 5am.

Learn importation on YouTube by following and subscribing to "Jubilant James".

Learn Business, e-commerce, Facebook amd instagram Ads by following and subscribing to "Courage Ngele" and "Ken Ndubuisi".

Learn vlogging, blogging, affiliate marketing aswell...the list is endless to say the least.

search, Follow and subscribe on YouTube this popular tech channel "websitelearners"...you'd learn a lot from there more than you ever did in the four walls of a classroom.

The future is tech, don't sleep on it.

You need lots of data, food and zeal to learn for 6 months consistently...after you must have mastered the skill, go to LinkedIn and craft a good profile.

Go to enhancecv.com and build your resume.

Look for fellow skillsets specialists within your chosen field, introduce yourself and tell them you'd like to work on some projects with them for free so you can build your portfolio from there.

Create a paypal account, sign up on freelance sites where you can get remote work (US, Canada, Australia, Estonia, Germany), you can earn as much as $20 per gig daily as a beginner.

Goodluck brother, remain blessed.

Blessing to you for this wonderful piece of information

That's when you apply your sense of instinct and observation when you ask the question.

That question will be harmless to whoever has clean intention towards the trip but whoever has bad intention will find it harmful to his/her intention...

I don't even know why many riders finds the question hard to answer.

It's against Uber's terms of reference for you drivers.
If Uber wanted you to know where the rider is going it will include that in the trip before you accept it.

Don't be ridiculous and continue to expose yourself. Not everybody is stupid

lmao…. I drive on bolt and yes i make good money and also yes I always call my rider but only to let them know where I am at that moment and to ask exactly where they are because the map can take you to a street away from where they actually are. After that, the next time I call is to say i have arrived. It’d interest you to know not all are driving to own. Most own these cars and have more plying the roads. I have 2 cars and I drive one and get remittances on the other. Why the anger though? grin

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

please I need your advice urgently.

Currently employed on a 60K monthly salary with accommodation. But sometime ago I applied for Moove Uber before I started my current job and now they reached out to me with congratulations that I have been selected for their drive to own Uber stuff and I should come finalize and pick up the car, that it's ready with current batch.

I applied for the Moove then because it was the brand new 2016 Corolla and that was something I felt would be worth giving it a shot and doing it. But now I have a job doing and it's sort of stressful and very demanding, however, the Uber job will be stressful too, right?

I want to know from those with the experience with Moove Uber, is it worth trying for drive to own, can someone cope from start to finish, is it a feasible venture or another pipe dream?

Should I quit my job for this or remain on my job?

I don't want to make a mistake.

Please advice me. Thank you

Do both if you can. Use your free time or weekends for Uber

Sincerely, I really hate both jobs as I have done Uber and of course I have earned that salary before. If you own the car, Uber would have been great.

First with Uber this November it seems their rates are hight now u might likely make more money but my brother the stress na die ooooo. 12-14hrs a week, car servicing and many other random nonsense that accompanies driving a car on daily basis in Lagos...

My advise is for you to think very well oooo and that your house rent ehhhhhh

Nothing, and you expect drivers to stick to their terms when they themselves have failed to verify their riders for the security of their drivers.

There's no way a driver can manipulate the app, the only way to manipulate bolt is when driver doesn't start trip on time and that's why you're being advised to check your app when inside the car to see the driver have started the trip.

How does that relate to being asked where the rider is going.

Obviously, the job might offer some sort of security and all, but if you are diligent, you could easily double this with Uber. And more so, you can take breaks, take care of your health and work at your pace.

People may not know the import of Breaks until they're stuck on a pay job. Being self-employed may not bring that buck cash at once like salaries but it's more rewarding in the long run.

60k meant a lot to me as salary because I had to wait for a whole 30days before earning it. I sat down at a point in my life, and thought about my life , like for how long would I continue waiting for 30days before earning 60k. No time for friends, no time for family, you earn the money, and gets broke within 2weeks. I left the job , and within 2weeks of resigning, and realizing how much I earn and spend within those time, I hated myself for accepting such a salary for 1year+. Instances, when I was earning the salary, my sub doesnt exceed 1k in a month, now, my sub is 8k in a month, and so many other instances I cant narrate here. @OP, I have no advise for you. Just read my experience , and advise yourself. The ball is in your court.

Do you blame them for asking?

The roads in Nigeria are bad.

There is also the issue of safety and rogue road officers. Would you accept a trip to Mushin @ 8pm? The problem is not just that you can be killed, the problem is you’ll die for nothing. No justice.

Self-centered bunch of idiots. Its not uber's job to verify whether you will be killed or not.
You have common sense when you get to the area and its not safe you simply cancel and choose the option not safe dont be a two-faced silly prick.

Drivers get killed just like riders get killed. You all drive cars that are not what's on the app or different driver compared to what's on the app.

You masturbate while carrying a rider, send stupid messages to riders.

Go and rest Kiddo!
In Nigeria here, you must need to ask where you will be driving to before someone will cut your head, car been snatched or driving through rough or much traffic road. Such will not happen in most countries outside Nigeria.
