Cantonese: God bless u! I started losing hope on Nigeria's intellectuals when given opportunity to perform, though I still have debris of hope on few! Current Jigawa State Governor, Badaru was former National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce ,Industry ,Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), a business tycoon and is second or third richest Governor in Nigeria, Ben Ayade is a Professor, Abubakar SANI Bello is the richest Governor in Nigeria, Ganduje and Fayemi are technocrats with PhDs. To cut the matter short among Nigerian Governors, only El Rufai has demonstrated uncommon performance economic wise, he economically performed excellently by raising Kaduna annual IGR from N14b to around N54b & attracted many investor to his state despite the insecurity challenges but the vast knowledge of those mentioned above and those that didn't make the list has little or no impact in their governance. I have hope that Soludo can do well just like other Governors but the expectations of people for Soludo to make Anambra another Lagos may lead them to huge disappointment because prior to this election Soludo is a member of President Buhari's Economic Advisory Council. When PMB came to power there was pressure on him to set up Presidential Economic Team to rescue Nigeria's economy from collapsing especially aftermath of recession. Immediately after he was sworn in in 2019, he set up Presidential Economic Advisory Council in which Prof. Soludo is a member. The Economic Council report directly to the President but unknown to many people when this committee started their work they advised PMB to remove all subsidies which he not only removed fuel subsidy but extended it to Electricity which is still lingering and may possibly take effect June next year. I want Nigerians to know that people like Soludo and other paper economist don't have good understanding of masses situation, all they know is to enhance govt revenue by copying Western style which doesn't conform with our culture and traditions. Anambra people should expect low from Prof. Soludo otherwise they may regret too much expectations from him just like how some people expected much from PMB. PMB's Economic Advisory Council members: Prof. Doyin Salami, who is a former member of the monetary policy committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and senior lecturer at the Lagos Business School is the Chairman of the Council. The other members of the committee are: Mohammed Sagagi as the vice-chairman Ode Ojowu — member Shehu Yahaya — member Iyabo Masha — member Prof. Chukwuma Soludo — member Bismark Rewane — member This committee only end up aggravating more hardship in Nigerians through their poor advise on untimely removal of subsidies with no proper planning. |

Jackson105: PDP is zoning it to the north |
Re: Akeredolu: Soludo’s Experience As Economist, Great Asset To Anambra by Jackson105: 7:31am On Nov 12, 2021 |
emmykk: Wow! That's interesting. Why can't PDP zone it to the South East with all their servitude to PDP for years, but you now want APC to zone it to South East, who does that? APC is zoning it to the South West and that's the proper and right thing to do, you can't work in GT bank and expect to collect salary in first bank, if Igbo want presidency your only route is PDP, anything outside that is madness. |

Jackson105: Yes that is because that is how things work in Nigeria... Obasanjo south west benefit from south east benevolence. South west never serve PDP but they were biggest beneficiary of PDP years When it was time for them to recipocate the gesture they vote APC because of mundane things as Vp. So it is not a big deal if APC zone it to south east. It has happened in favour of south west . before. |

ArewaNorth: You called Soludo a paper economist? You need to reset your brain, how old are you? Please stop displaying this kind of reasoning in public. Calling a man that reform our banking sector a paper economist is stupidity taken too far. Please mention any great economist of Nigerian decent with international repute that can match PCS except NOI. |

emmykk: What gave Obasanjo advantage is the Abiola case, it was just a way of pacifying the Yorubas, so Obasanjo is just reaping Abiola's deed and not ibos as u say, because Ekwueme even contested against him, so you don't have a point, nothing goes for nothing. |

Ngorbungor:I said and I quote that "people like Soludo and other paper economis". My comment doesn't only stopped on Soludo but on the kind of leaders we have. All Govt institutions undergo reform process, Soludo did little to prevent bank liquidations, bankruptcy & customers suffering despite doing fairly in other areas. |

Jackson105: You can't be smart by half your south west voted AD and other tribe from the south voted Obj...is obj an igbo man? Yet he got 8years? Now you are saying Abiola death caused it ? Was Abiola in PDP or Abiola voted from the grave or if other tribe voted base on ethnicity will obj a yoruba man became president? Even your said Abiola is the making of other tribe from the south before the election was annulled. Stop all this theory you are professing that because Tinubu APC support buhari to be president therefore it is their birthright to produce the next president. You have already be paid for with VP and Speaker |

emmykk:Y thinking in one direction, It's because both are formal governor? There are alot of guru politicians and guru economist who can managed this country very well,A sound knowledge of economist isn't enough to become the president of a country..You must also be guru politicians,To fight your inner enemies and outside enemies.. |
Re: Akeredolu: Soludo’s Experience As Economist, Great Asset To Anambra by Jackson105: 11:49am On Nov 12, 2021 |
emmykk: You are talking nonsense. Their is no way APC is giving their ticket to an ibo man in 2023, Know this and have peace, the best you can do is to bring your candidates let them contest against Tinubu or Osibanjo for APC Ticket. Anything outside this is impossicant |
