WHAT ARE WE THINKING ABOUT OUR ETERNAL DESTINY
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
""""""""""""""""""""""""""
My dear, what are WE thinking about our precious souls? Do we think ALL those messages that we are seeing from evangelists and preachers on Facebook, in groups and even on the streets are just for merry making?
My dear, the time that we're in now is very short to the coming of Christ. And even if Christ doesn't come now,we ourselves don't know when we will leave this world through death.
And the Bible says right after death
is judgement(Heb 9:27). And that will not be the time to be asking for God's mercy. Now is the time to ask for God's mercy while we're still alive.
This is the time to put away empty religiosity without evidence of Salvation. We're into churches but are we born again? And to be born again doesn't mean water baptism. It means to have a TOTAL CHANGE OF LIFE through the grace of God.
This will result in us putting away things that God hates

Jesus didn't tell anyone to obey him.

Worship the Lord of Jesus, the one who sent Jesus and others!

Jesus says in John 14:6, that he is the way, truth and the life, no man can get to the father except through him. if you don't worship Jesus you can't worship the father because the are ONE

If they are one then I believe Mary gave birth to both the father and son together!

I guess the earth was on autopilot then!

Mary only found grace in the sight of God to be a mother to Jesus(who was God become man). the book of isaiah 9:6 - 7 explain this further, Jesus is God! he deserve our worship. mary only found favour to be a mother to Jesus. John 1:1 say's that in the beginning he was there, he was with the father during creation, and that HE(JESUS) WAS GOD

Are you saying Jesus was not one with the father in Mary's womb?

He was one with the father when he died too. So he died with the father.

To be born-again, one must also be born from water aka water baptism, this a sign that one has changed from living the old way to the new way, as John said in Matthew 3 vs 7 - 11. undecided

i never said that! psalm 68:11 says God gave his word and great was the company that publish it. the publishing is done through various means, and social media is one of the means. it is now left for people to believe and accept to escape judgement!

Repentance must come first before water baptism, many have done water baptism without genuine repentance.

But what is genuine repentance though since even the messages on your Facebook don't seem to understand even that. undecided

You decide whether you will trust and submit to the Words of Jesus Christ or the words or men. For this reason, many have been easily deceived away from listening to the lies of men. undecided

the bible says in John 16:13, that the Holy spirit shall guide us into all truth! (meaning he shall help us discern the truth). the holy spirit will make us know the truth through the word of God in verse 14. you will not be tossed about by every wind of doctrine you see and listen to on radio, Tv's and social media when the word of God is in you with the holy spirit. You will be able to know the one that is preaching the truth by the help of the holy spirit.

When reading, please always pay attention to context. undecided

Read what Jesus Christ said to you beginning John 16 vs 4 - 15 again.

Also read what the same Jesus Christ said to you before this about who can have the Spirit of Truth, in John 14 vs 15 - 25 undecided

According to Jesus Christ - John 14 vs 15 - 25, only those who first submit to living life in obedience to the Truth - the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ- can become worthy of the Spirit of Truth, the Helper. undecided

Those who do not first submit to and obey the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ, will not get the Helper to continue leading them to all Truths. undecided

what i wrote there is for those who have accepted Jesus and have been washed by his blood. unbelevers has no part in this!. the holy spirit is given to a believer to help him in his christian journey. He will reprove and correct him when he is wrong, he will help him discern the truth/lie
Re: What Are We Thinking About Our Eternal Destiny! by Kobojunkie: 6:36pm On Nov 17, 2021

2. the holy spirit is given to a believer to help him in his christian journey. He will reprove and correct him when he is wrong, he will help him discern the truth/lie
1. There is no such thing as a washing by the blood of Jesus Christ though. This mainly because Jesus Christ Himself only gave us who believe in Him His blood to drink, in remembrance of Him as the New Covenant agreement between God and man - Matthew 26 vs 28 - 30. Any attempts at using His blood for any other ritual not authorized by Him is nothing but sin against Him and against God. undecided

Also, the concept of washing away of sins belonged in the Old Covenant - Leviticus 16 vs 29 - 31 & Numbers 8 vs 6 - 8 - where God decreed it so, and not of the New Covenant agreement that is Jesus Christ where instead forgiveness of sins is instituted- Matthew 6 vs 9 - 15 undecided

Also, the medium used in the washing away of sins if another factor to pay attention to. In Ezekiel 36 vs 25 -26 & Ezekiel 36 vs 33, God said that He would wash away the sins of those of Israel who chose His New Agreement by sprinkling pure water on them.

In Matthew 3 vs 7-11, John the Baptist explained to the people that the reason for the baptism He was sent fo perform was to indicate or mark those who have chosen to change from the Old way/life to the New way/life. undecided

God never instituted washing in blood or covering of anything in blood, let alone the blood of Jesus Christ. undecided

2. The disciples did not come by the one you call the Holy Spirit until about 4 years into their apprenticeship with Jesus Christ. Yet, they all learned the truth even during that 4 year period before He showed up for them. Jesus Christ taught us , in Matthew 13 vs 10 - 17 and Mark 4 vs 21 - 25 ,that to those who use the understanding they have in figuring out the Word, will have more understanding given to them whereas those who refuse to use the understanding they have will have even the little understanding (ability to comprehend what is written included) taken away from them. Notice that not once did Jesus Christ mention the Holy Spirit in both places. undecided

So, if a believer has to walk many years before he/she can be worthy enough to obtain the Holy Spirit as a Helper - only those who have been set free from bondage to sin can become Holy/Perfect vessels worthy of the Holy Spirit aka Sons of God , this from knowing , living in continuous submission to ans obedience to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ, the Truth - John 8 vs 31 - 44 - does this mean this believer can't be said to have understanding of Truth? undecided

The disciples had Jesus with them already, the was no need of the holy spirit that time. but when Jesus was about leaving them he promised them a comforter that will bring to their remembrance all what the learned from him. every believer is sealed with the holy spirit to help him. without the holy spirit, conviction on the word (JESUS) and repentance will be impossible!. even to know the truth(JESUS) will be impossible. 1 CORINTHIANS : 12:3

1 CORINTHIAN 12:3 say's so!, the holy spirit makes a sinner realise his sin and comes to Jesus for salvation. the holy spirit play a great role in the church!. Jesus said that whosoever sins against the holy spirit shall not be forgiven, the person will lose his/her fellowship with God!. the person will lose his/her conviction of the truth(JESUS), if you try to preach to that person, it will result into a serious argument to your shock.

1. What you assume here doesn't seem to match what Paul opined in 1 Corinthians 12 vs 3 at all. undecided
1 Now, brothers and sisters, I want you to understand about spiritual gifts.
2 You remember the lives you lived before you were believers. You let yourselves be influenced and led away to worship idols—things that have no life.
3 So I tell you that no one who is speaking with the help of God’s Spirit says, “Jesus be cursed.” And no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” without the help of the Holy Spirit. - 1 Corinthians 12 vs 3

2. Jesus Christ never said anything about the HOLY Spirit approaching unbelevers or sinners, and why do you think that is? unbelievers and sinners are UNHOLY and the HOLY Spirit cannot inhabit that which is UNHOLY. undecided

3. The role the Spirit of God played in the book of Acts was in and through those who belonged to God. undecided

4. From what Jesus Christ said, it is obvious that only one who has known the Holy Spirit, that is able to blaspheme Him and no sinners or unbeliever can boast of being that undecided

5. Jesus Christ never said or made this assertion at all. undecided

THIS IS JESUS SPEAKING ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT IN JOHN 16:8-13. a sinner receives conviction of the word and turn away from sin by the help of the holy spirit.

Are you sure of what you claim here because if you read carefully, Jesus Christ called Him "The Spirit of Truth", not the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of God? undecided
8 “When the Helper comes, he will show the people of the world how wrong they are about sin, about being right with God, and about judgment.
9 He will prove that they are guilty of sin, because they don’t believe in me.
10 He will show them how wrong they are about how to be right with God. The Helper will do this, because I am going to the Father. You will not see me then.
11 And he will show them how wrong their judgment is, because their leader[a] has already been condemned.
12 “I have so much more to tell you, but it is too much for you to accept now.
13 But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all truth. He will not speak his own words. He will speak only what he hears and will tell you what will happen in the future.
14 The Spirit of truth will bring glory to me by telling you what he receives from me.
15 All that the Father has is mine. That is why I said that the Spirit will tell you what he receives from me. - John 16 vs 8 - 15

And we already learned from Jesus Christ, in John 14 vs 15 - 25, other things about this same "Another Helper". undecided
15 “If you love me, you will do what I command. 16 I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper[a] to be with you forever.
17 The Helper is the Spirit of truth. The people of the world cannot accept him, because they don’t see him or know him. But you know him. He lives with you, and he will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you all alone like orphans. I will come back to you.
19 In a very short time the people in the world will not see me anymore. But you will see me. You will live because I live.
20 On that day you will know that I am in the Father. You will know that you are in me and I am in you.
21 Those who really love me are the ones who not only know my commands but also obey them. My Father will love such people, and I will love them. I will make myself known to them.”

22 Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “Lord, how will you make yourself known to us, but not to the world?”

23 Jesus answered, “All who love me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them. My Father and I will come to them and live with them.
24 But anyone who does not love me does not obey my teaching. This teaching that you hear is not really mine. It is from my Father who sent me.

25 “I have told you all these things while I am with you.
26 But the Helper will teach you everything and cause you to remember all that I told you. This Helper is the Holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name. - John 14 vs 15 -25
In all, we learn several things from all this which are that, the Spirit of Truth, the "another" Helper which Jesus Christ promised and spoke of in John 14 and John 16
■ Is a another Helper, the Spirit of Truth, the Gospel, Jesus Christ, God's Truth
■Does not live inside of sinners - John 14 vs 17 since the people of the world cannot accept Him since they don't see Him or know Him.
■ He will however convict them of sin, again, this without living in them.

Can you guess how? undecided

P.S. The Holy Spirit/Spirit of God is not the same Helper referred to in the John 16 passage which you reference.

when Jesus was on earth he said in John 16:8-13 that many are yet to know him, but when the holy spirit shall come, many shall receive conviction and believe him (Jesus). this was seen in the minitry of the apostles when Jesus left, after holy spirit fell on them, peter spoke and conviction fell on 3000 people by power of the holy spirit, this is how the church started. the holy spirt is active till today glorifying Jesus, his ministry will end at the rapture!

Jesus Christ did not say that of the Holy Spirit or Spirit of God but instead of the Spirit of Truth. undecided

2. The Holy Spirit was on Peter, not on the 3000 sinners who Peter Spoke to. Same as the Spirit of Truth(Jesus Christ), who the world cannot accept - John 14 vs 17. undecided

3. The Holy Spirit lives only in those who are Holy/Perfect vessels....Sons of God - John 8 vs 31 - 44. It took the apostles approximately 4 years to become Ready for the Holy Spirit. undecided

4. There is no end to the "ministry" of the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of Truth since the New Covenant Law which they are both witnesses of is an eternal Covenant. undecided

■ The Spirit of Truth, Jesus Christ, God's Truth and Law in the Kingdom of God, written on the hearts of all those who belong to Him undecided
■The Spirit of God or the Holy Spirit, the Father's own Spirit, who causes us to carefully obey God's every commandments- Ezekiel 36 vs 27 undecided

i rememer that in my post i said that an unbeliever does not have part in Jesus promise of the holy spirit. the ministry of the holy spirit on earth will end at the rapture! he will carry those that were ready with him to meet Jesus in the air. that does not mean he will cease from existence, he is eternal and he is God, same with the father and the son Jesus. the reason why the devil has not yet manifest fully is because of holy spirit, when the holy spirit leaves the earth, satan will manifest fully.
