afube:Please I will like you to learn about something. Read about "Hamitic Hypothesis". It answers all the misconceptions. The same theory they used to ENSLAVE, demean and colonise black people with the backing of the BIBLE (until discredited by fearless scientists in 1960 after proving beyond all reasonable doubt that it is false and a form of Racism/racial superiority) but somehow, majority of those that retained it after its discredit are blacks of which Ndigbo, Somalis and some Ethiopian tribes are the most notable. That is what they call Mental subjugation/slavery and inferiority complex. Thanks |

afube: I've visited those sites and it's filled with quacks and charlatans. I could barely finish the content I saw there because I felt anger and deep shame that we are this consumed with inferiority complex that we choose to appropriate an alien culture that has no historic relationship with us. There is zero evidence that our ancestors have ever seen the Sahara desert, talk more of having seen the Mediterranean sea and the Levant region. Zero evidence. The evidence can't be found in archaeological links or any substantive anthropological roots, or geographic ties, or DNA evidence (a very effective modern way of tracing genetic roots) or linguistic relationship or any evident history. The linguistic links is the funniest fraud of all where Igbo charlatans claiming to be scholars have tried to claim that there are commonalities between the Igbo language and Hebrew - 2 languages from entirely different language families - which anyone who knows elementary anthropology knows is like claiming that dogs are related to frogs, instead of wolves. Some charlatans have also tried to portray our pre-colonial polytheistic religion as similar to the Jewish monotheistic faith. The reality is we would not even know Jewish people exist without our colonialists and the spread of Christianity. Palestinian Arabs are the closest genetic cousins of Jews originating from old Levantine tribes, and Jews (even European Ashkenazi Jews) also share close genetic links with Bedouins, Druze, Lebanese people and other ethnicities in the Levant, yet none of these people go around claiming they are some kind of lost tribe of Israel. If you dash them Jewish identity, they'll even reject it. The Jewish claims by Ndigbo b'anyi is driven by ignorance and low self-esteem masquerading as ethnic superiority and this perversion of the Igbo identity needs to be called out by all Igbos of good conscience and education. The purveyors of this abomination have tried renaming towns like Umuleri as Umueri driven by some silly folktale. This perversion has found itself on Wikipedia edited by and quoting some of your charlatans above as seen here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umuleri If you want to get authentic history, refer to peer-reviewed scholarship and not the ahistorical ravings of charlatans and fabulists. The education of our future generations depend on it. Every Igbo person has at some time heard the claim that we are Jewish descendants, but just because a fable is popular does not make it true. We're embarrassing ourselves. 3 Likes |

BKayy: Jewish Israelis - particularly the Ashkenazi Jews - are ethnic supremacists who resent and discriminate against Ethiopian Jews and have even historically discriminated against their Sephardic and Mizrahi Jewish brothers. Let's not even talk about the mini-apartheid state they run with the systemic dispossession and repression of Palestinians. Yet, black ass niggas over here in the West African hinterlands are here trying to coopt and appropriate an alien identity of an alien tribe because they think it makes them look superior. Inventing tales and flying Israel flag upandan. It would be funny if the foolishness wasn't so embarrassing. 1 Like |

Omanambala: Very embarrassing. That some Jewish people had to come here to tell us we have zero DNA links with them should have taught them that their embarrassing antics is going international, but the myth persists. If anyone thinks you're impressing other Nigerians by calling yourselves Jews, you're not, you just make yourself a laughingstock to be mocked and ridiculed. 2 Likes |

Obi1kenobi: The few texts cited or otherwise quoted in some of those videos are peer-reviewed and some of them are books that were written over 500 years ago, that is not to say they are 100% correct but what works do you have to counter their claims.............ad hominem attacks will not cut it! Bros, cite peer-reviewed works to rebut the claims that Negros and Bantus were not once domiciled in the region now called Palestine, Israel, and Jordan valley! .......you sound like someone that has swallowed all that he has been taught in the past hook, line, and sinker! Scholarship is dynamic...let us see what new and verified research will bring forth in the future! Maybe you know better than The Eze Nri who make the same claim and are supported by their oral traditions! 1 Like |
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by Obi1kenobi(m): 11:34pm On Nov 16, 2021 |
afube: Which of them is peer reviewed? You can link the paper here, let's see which serious journal posted their quackery. It's got nothing to do with "ad hominem" attacks, but standards of proof, and as I said, there is absolute zero historical, archaeological, geographic, linguistic, ethno-religious or genetic links. Absolute zero. Our ancestors could not read or write before British colonialists as recently as just over 100 years ago, yet you're claiming our illiterate ancestors are descended from a civilization that has been literate for over 3,000 years (our lack of documented history and reliance on oral traditions is the very reason for this attache-by-force nonsense). Apparently, we somehow forgot how to read and write or even fashion paper and ink when we traveled down to the West African hinterlands. And somehow, a tribe that never had any means of transportation beyond primitive dugout canoes before the colonialists somehow navigated and crossed the Mediterranean from the Levant to Africa. Somehow, we have no artefacts whatsoever from this long travel tying us to our roots in the Levant even though in older civilizations like Egypt, you can see all the relics of history from several thousand years ago. Somehow, we had never heard of the Abrahamic God until the Europeans brought Christianity to us, converting us from our pagan, polytheistic beliefs. Somehow, we speak a Niger-Congo language with similar roots as other Niger-Congo tribes around like Yoruba, Binis, Igalas etc, and not a Semitic language. Somehow DNA analysis can show us the genetic roots of even Jews that have lived in Europe for thousands of years, but shows us as being just another Niger-Congo tribe who are close cousins with our other Niger-Congo neighbors. Igbos as a whole don't even have a common history. Different clans have different histories and different roots and we're only united by a common language. The Eze Nri is a clown and just because he's a charlatan who perpetuates these myths doesn't make it accurate. You're not supposed to believe it just because the Eze Nri said so. You're supposed to be angry that a prominent royal father is perpetuating an abominable fraud and perversion of our culture and history and misleading generations of Ndigbo with a lie. And the "oral tradition" is a recent post-colonial invention. It's easy to fabricate claims with "oral tradition" when there is no verifiable written history to contradict it. 3 Likes |

You called Eze Nri a clown, talk down on every other person except yourself. This ediot called Obiorah that doesn't worth anything in life except coming on nairaland to type nonsense. It is only an ediot that claims to know everything just like you are always doing on this forum. You always position yourself as a moral standard meanwhile you are a non entity and clown, whose only relevance is coming to nairaland to spew nonsense. You talk down on the traditional institutions and claim to be more knowledgeable than the historians that recorded those facts. Obiora stop being a clown and go do something with your miserable life, Eze nri is not responsible for your frustration in life. [s] Obi1kenobi:[/s] 1 Like |

The incoming governor should build overhead bridge across Aroma axis of the Enugu/Onitsha expressway; connect Ifite road to Zik avenue. Just like we have it at Indipendence tunnel Lagos. This will automatically reduce traffic gridlock at Aroma. 4 Likes

He should aswell construct another flyover at Regina junction; linking Regina road to Okpuno through Okey Anueyiagu avenue/club road. This will save use the stress of driving down to arom flyover to turn before connecting Okpuno. A clover leaf bridge will make more sense at Regina junction~ MySuggestion 4 Likes

Chikeluba25: I love the little green I saw in your picture. I remember when the effort to plant grass around the Kenneth Dike library was going on. Glad the place looks green now and not red soil. While everyone is obsessed with flyovers, I hope the importance of trees and grass isn't forgotten. Truly, it is the trees and grasses that make a place liveable. If you look at the number of flyovers in the Bronx, you'd think it would be the most liveable place in America. While in truth, it is placed with a lot of trees, flowers, and grass that are indeed liveable! A law to mandate that every house must plant at least one tree in front of it will ensure that Anambra streets are not just conducive but beautiful. 2 Likes
