I like being realistic and have nothing for or against Rohr. I just want to correct the high level of cluelessness here.

The level of result we're demanding from Rohr, can our team's quality match it?

Using other top African teams as a yardstick are we really underperforming?

You can't expect to Nigeria to have a smooth and clinical gameplay like Man City when we don't have the quality to match.

Don't be surprised if Rohr gets a bigger African team if sacked. Algeria were ready to employ him after world cup if he had been sacked.

Rohr has been given realistic objectives by the NFF. Win AFCON and qualify for World cup. So far he hasn't fumbled. So what's the fuss about sacking him because we drew Cape Verde.

Rohr cannot win AFCON. It is not a curse. He just isn't good enough to win AFCON. Forget 2019, a lot of teams have improved since then.

When we say Rohr is bad, terribly bad, heres what we mean:

1- Too predictable. Any good tactical coach can read his tactics even before a match and beat him.

2- Always makes changes at the 68/70th munites. Any good coach who reads out games ahead and watch tapes of SE matches, would capitalize on this slugishness from our coach and cause havoc on the team before the 70th munites.

3- He is way too conservative. Like dammn! Which kind of coaches have an Ejuke, Chukwueze, and still plate difensively? My God! A game you needed to win, in your home, you resulted into the safe zone and started defending? What if they had scored in the 90th munites after wasting your time defending, when you should be playing mildly aggressively with a touch of carefulness? No wonder we always struggle. Our opponents can read us like an expo before an exam Lol

4- The coach loves familiar players. Hence, our opponents can easily counter our style and technique even before the kickoff. We saw this today as we scored, CVD went on the offensive and got one as soon as possible. Because they know we were going to fall back and relax as instructed by our coach. Yes! They know he's a scared overly-careful weakling.

5- We have a good midfield actually, but the tactics and style of play as instructed by the coach, doesn't bring out the best in the team. There is no single style of play, just move the ball forward to Osimhe and isha Allah.

6- Finally, we are in trouble next year if we keep playing like this. I mean, we are like an open manual that every coach and opponents can read and cage as they will.

Instead of playing mali make SE play Egypt.. those Malian are very good oo. I followed all their matches. Egypt is beatable. They even sack their coach during the qualify. Likely opponents for SE is Mali, Congo dr, Egypt, Ghana, Cameroon/ivory Coast.

Only Cameroon/ivory Coast or Mali is a real threat others na wash. I followed this qualify diligently. I know how most team plays. Why Egypt is little dangerous is because all this north Africa sabi play two legged tie well well. They know the tricks minus that. Egypt na wash. Mali is the real threat.

If not because of Salisu Yusuf that was there, Rohr would have brought in Musa at the 70th minute counting and removed Iwobi.

It's not about whether we win or lose. I'm about something that the goodjoe emphasizes often: quality of play.
Our play is just too poor, agonizingly drab and threadbare.
The only thing nigeria teams need now is Thegoodjoe's philosophies.
Not only the super eagles but the entire nigeria teams, from u-17,20,23 to super eagles.

Good point on the Naija factor sha.

As regards to Sunday Oliseh, he’s a good coach but a very poor man manager. I don’t wanna see him anywhere near Super Eagles team again, as a coach.

You opinions has a bias view in it with respect to what this thread stands for

you're correct..

Everyone is bias one way or the other...

I don't like pretending and I don't hide the fact that I have bias views... and its because of these "bias views" that we must ensure highly rated people are picked from the different ethnicities in Nigeria to represent and not mediocre people or people past their prime...

If it was left to a lot of people on this thread no northern Nigerian will make the team... because southern Nigeria has a depth of talent that is mouth watering...

GMB in my books is not highly rated but his the president and over 190 million Nigerians are suffering from the fact that his not highly rated and his bias protection towards criminals who share the same ethnicity as him instead of having bias towards graduates and intellectuals who share the same ethnicity as him.

In life you're free to support whoever you want but its foolishness to intentionally support criminals and 3rd class graduates of the same ethnicity as you when there are exceptional people and first class graduates who share the same ethnicity as you.

The main priority now is winning the nations cup
Keshi’s team didn’t start well in 2013 but they won.
Me o, I can't raise my expectations, on current form we are not contenders to win the afcon. Now we have the players for sure but the team is not properly managed, Rohr can't take us anywhere. Rohr is inflexible and doesn't make big decisions.

Keshi at the 2013 ANC wasn't afraid to ruffle feathers. He dropped the big boys that didn't perform at the ANC, Yobo, Uche, nwankwo Obiorah, Nosa Igiebor. Pa Rohr would not make such bold decisions.

Today's game was an easy game to win.

Firstly, Ighalo shouln't have come in for the second half. I would have had Iheanacho in since then.

Next, when Simon got injured, I would have swiched him with Aina and at the same time remove Aribo for Onyeka. Aribo was gassed.

Next, around 70 mins, I would have removed both Osimhen and Iwobi and put in Ejuke and Chukwueze to peg Cape Verde defenders back. That would have relieved most of the pressure on us in the dying minutes.

and 11 prime Ahmed Musa is a very good team.

This is the worst SE team in recent time
Those clamouring for Ighalo can now see how useless that act is
Rohr has plateaued, no tactical improvement, no flavor no flair as a coach
Our defence is a complete washout
Our midfield is flat no ball carrier no presence
I can't see this team going far in the playoff
Very sad cry

If Tunisia loses, Egypt enters top 5. Egypt will have to play another team from the unseeded section, taking another potentially big team (e.g Ivory Coast/Cameroon, Mali, Ghana) out of our worries.

How can yu drop 5 points at hme to team yu're ranked well above by FIFA

Yet, we are being inconsiderate

I tell yu that we as a country can do better

OUr boys are playing well below their potential all thanks to Rohr and Amaju who renewed a bogus contract
