Disclaimer12: You can't be too sure. How many owners know exactly what's going on physically on their establishment premises other what is reported directly from the management he put in charge. There was case of death at Obi Cubana's club recently, who he have known exactly how the lady died unless being told about how it happened. They're just owners not omnipresent 3 Likes 1 Share |

sammirano: A guest died in your hotel room and you buried him without calling the Police and, in your stupidity, you claim no connection had been established to make him a prime suspect. What other connection do you want? Can he claim he doesn't know that a guest died in the hotel room? Can he claim that the staff buried him at the back of the hotel with the hotel branded bedsheets without his knowledge? Who changed the bed in the room the deceased slept? Why's the bed different from every other bed in the hotel? In spite of your stupidity, justice shall be served. 5 Likes |

I was one of those people who due to emotions and the tragic nature of the poor guy's death concluded the hotel owner is a ritualist. After following the story in totality, I had a question mark on the part where the guy paid directly into the receptionist's account. As at then, I wasn't even sure (until now) the hotel has its own official bank account. I paused and asked some rational questions like what if the owner truly doesn't know about this crime because it is also plausible to conclude his members of staff (the receptionist and the manager) might have been depriving him of payments made by customers. If he was truly a ritualist, the owner won't be that daft to pick someone who came to his hotel to lodge just like that, kill and also conveniently ask his staff to bury the corpse in the facility without having a thought that the police will trace such a victim to them. More so, this a case of someone who had also used the same hotel twice in the preceding 6weeks. Obviously, this look like a bad business gone wrong (for the receptionist and the manager and maybe alongside the security guards). Something transpired between that lady receptionist, the victim and the manager the night of November 5 that led to his death before daybreak which only those workers can tell the world. Apparently, when they realised that they, in their shallow thinking, have left no trace of the victim in the hotel records, decided to bury him and lie. If I were in charge of this investigation, I would consider getting the bank statements of all the accounts of the receptionist and the manager and study the trends of lump sums into them. Maybe contact some of those who made any suspicious amounts with a view to ascertaining the possibility of them receiving payments that were meant for the hotel. I pray the victim gets the justice he deserves and hopefully we get to know/hear the actual story of what transpired. And if the hotel owner is guilty of this crime, may he end up bagging a death sentence and may his offsprings never be spared of divine vengeance! AMEN. 8 Likes |

Tareq1105: Where is the proof of all these things you just ranted. Murder is serious case and it must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. People like you in saner climes will be held in solitary confinement. Ode. 1 Like |

DispatcherLagos: If you're gullible, I am not. The owner of the hotel is culpable. Everything was prearranged to cover up. He's a smart killer who played to the intelligent of his staffers. 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Timothy Adegoke: ‘I Know Nothing About OAU Student's Death - Rahmon Adedoyin by Tareq1105: 10:14am On Nov 20, 2021 |
Abeos: Yes, the point is that there's no way the owner would not be informed even if he's outside the country. Obi Cubana wasn't there at the time of the incident but he was informed immediately on phone. Adedoyin is claiming he wasn't aware of it until Police arrested him. How's that possible when you're right there in Ife? We're talking about life here. If their hands are clean, why burial in the night without informing the police? Who gave them the audacity? Which weed dem smoke? How come the receptionist mentioned him? Could your staff do the burial without informing you? When things of this nature happens, it's the owner you would call first before anyone and he would now be the person to report to the Police. Please stop supporting killers bcoz what goes round come around. 1 Like |

SunTzu123: See, there is already hanky-panky going on. It was the receptionist that confessed all that were arrested including the chairman. The man is powerful and the police will surely compromise. By the way, how did someone in detention able to grant interview? The matter don change. |

Most Nigerians especially youths who should know better are very gullible. If you care to know the owner of the hotel is not just complicit but master-mind of the death of Mr Timothy Adegoke. Like someone also stated, the said hotel manager / Alfa is the henchman for Mr Ramon. |

DispatcherLagos: The guy has been lodging there it wasn’t the 1st time. He must have been paying without any issues and his past payments can be tracked through the accounts it paid to via he was given the hotel receipts. |

ShoeShineGuy: See, all these are mere stories. It was the receptionist that opened up which led to the arrest of all involved and where the guy was buried. If the receptionist never mentioned chairman, there is no way police would arrest the hotel owner. This is very unfortunate. OAU students should protest and demand justice. 1 Like |

Lesson : AVOID REPEATED VISITS. Have no friends nor favorite. They knew this guy is a repeat customer and your staff accepted his payment into her personal account. Isn't this enough for SUSPICION ?? |

lomprico: Are u going to judge by age? Kids had always been in OAU, asked about the age of Great AFRIKA and other martyrs and heros. It's not about the age but the orientation, I am not sure of the SU still exists in Ife, even though it does how effective and focus is the student union now? Don't forget that the orientation of our youths these days have moved deeply into wealth acquisition by any means possible thereby loosing traction with the struggle for emancipation and freedom from shackles of evil. It is sad, very sad that you could get killed for the basics in Nigeria. Being a hotel guest is almost abnormal now in Nigeria 5 Likes 1 Share |

Do you have an evidence or just the normal beer parlour gossips? We shouldn't be too quick to judge every rich man as a ritualist ! He might be one and he might not be! Let's allow investigation FarahAideed: 1 Like |

But going as far as burying the man ? I even wonder how a big hotel like that cannot provide a simple CCTV footage! That would have helped a lot in the investigation Abeos: |

sammirano: Pele o, ologbon. I'm suspecting you. I'll recommend you to be interrogated if you continue to post stupid comment. Probably you have a contribution to make. Yes, murder must be proven beyond reasonable doubt from your hotel to the burial ground behind your hotel and you claim not to be aware. So Ologbon, who takes responsibility? Is it the deceased or the owner of the facility? Be careful except if you want to help the police. |

Re: Timothy Adegoke: ‘I Know Nothing About OAU Student's Death - Rahmon Adedoyin by perryy(m): 10:37am On Nov 20, 2021 |
jaxxy: Exactly. If the guy hadn't been paying into that account, there is no way he would have paid into that account that night. If he has been paying into that account and getting the hotel's receipt, then that lady's account is a collecting account for the hotel for obvious reasons. |
Re: Timothy Adegoke: ‘I Know Nothing About OAU Student's Death - Rahmon Adedoyin by sammirano: 10:44am On Nov 20, 2021 |
Tareq1105: See, whether the corpse was found beside his gate still proves nothing. A good criminologist would know thats not logical. About taking responsibility, the hotel is a business, which I'm 100% certain, the man is not involved in the day-to-day mgt. If a company driver kills someone on speed, will the company owner be arrested? There is something called 'corporate veil' in law. The staffers are the first suspects, and autopsy will also serve as a marker. My fact here remains, the man should not be in detention until such time it is certain he ordered the killing. Even at that, he should be promptly charged to the court. |
