God placed a curse on all marriages when in Genesis 3 vs 16 He cursed man and woman in marriage, so what that means is no marriage that is under God's curse is blessed by God. In essence, your marriage ceremonies does not bestow anything you imagine on your marriage. So long as the man and woman in the marriage exist under the curse/God's Judgement, the marriage is no different from any other marriage out there.

I’d like for us to stand before the altar of God you know all special occasions begin with the church. With modern times there’s compromise but for me it says a lot. My thoughts though, just wondering why church wedding has being made mandatory to new couples, Some elders told me it’s a white man's belief, that the most important is the dowry paid to the parents of the girl and the traditional, then to legally show or proof you are married, the court wedding comes in whereby you are handed the certificate of marriage.

It isnt alright though, is it, this since when you pretend to offer to God that which He never sanctioned or commanded of you to begin with, some entitiy is on the other side receiving even that unholy offering, and Jesus Christ said that someone is definitely not God.

P.S. The word "Holy" as used in scripture means "in perfect compliance/agreement with and in accordance with the blueprint that is God's Law and Will. Therefore that which is "Unholy" is that which does not conform to God's Will and Law.
