So why are the Celtics getting blown away?

On Defense.
Coming into this game the Celtics were top 10 in defensive rating and number 1 over the last 3 games in interior defense, so what happened today? Over the last 3 games, our opponents prioritized interior offense which we were able to neutralize because of our size, movement, switches and paint action. But the Nets are a different offense... They are a perimeter scoring team and we have struggled to adapt to defending a different kind of offense. This has also forced us to pick silly fouls.

On Offense.
We are trying to match their style of offense vs playing our own offense and what has worked for us in the past, especially over the last 5 games. We are spamming 3's, shooting a shameful 9/37 from 3, this is not what got us over .500. Our bread and butter was attacking the paint, finding the mismatch inside the paint, attacking the rim, forcing the defense to collapse inside the paint, find the open man inside and outside the paint. This style of offense would have worked against this Nets team especially when you consider they do not have the size inside the paint.

LeBron Raymone James. Welcome back. Now that's how you take over the 4th quarter and overtime. Ain't none of that Westbrook shiit. No AD, no problem.
