Is it too late to start my masters application for Norway

I shared a link on this thread a while ago where you can check the competitiveness of a course (the number of people that applied, the number of people that were offered admission and also the number of people that actually resumed for the course). I can't remember the exact page it was on. Search and you shall find it.
@ So10

Application for most schools end on the 1st of December while a few (e.g. University of Stavanger) closes on 15th of January.

If you have all other required documents and you are sure your school can deliver your transcript (within two weeks) to the schools whose application closes on the 1st of December, do go for it.

Right here!

CuteTj:
@ Dumebi213, Arinze01 and fellow prospective applicants. Check the statistics for higher education in Norway including the number of applicants for your interested courses, number of people offered admission and other statistics at https://dbh.nsd.uib.no/ (use on chrome browser so it can be translated to english)

Hope this valuable information helps you have an idea of the acceptance rate of your interested courses.

Do not let the number of applicants and acceptance rate dampen your spirit. Also, do not forget that not everyone granted admission eventually accepts the admission therefore you definitely stand a chance in your choice course.

As Arinze01 earlier said, no one here has a say or can predict application outcome. Just apply to all schools that matches your bsc requirements and hope for the best. You should be amongst the lucky ones granted admission.

All the best guys...

Hello All, please what's the turnaround time for transcript delivery from your university to the university in Norway giving that many Nigerian universities can delay the sending and application is only open for 1-2 months. What can one do in such case?

Contact the school and state your worries. Inquire to know if the deadline for application is the same as uploading/delivery of documents.

My own university is delaying my transcript so damn much. I even got a contact in my school transcript dept and they are requesting bribe to fast track it. I emailed the university in Norway and they said deadline is for both online documents upload and documents been sent by post.
I've resulted to prayers now. Naija can frustrate you.

is it possible to send the transcript before the application begins so that it will get there at least when it opens?

Depends on the university because some require the applicant to input the applicant's number on the document prior to delivery, and such can only be obtained when the portal is open.

Best bet is to obtain it (transcript) from the university, arrange with a staff member and use a private courier service so as to hasten the delivery process.

Hi scholars, I applied to Norwegian University of Science and Technology. I submitted my Weac and the scratch card, CV, bachelor certificate, proof of funds (6million plus and sponsor letter), medium of instructions, passport. I wanted to ask if everything I uploaded is correct and intact. It's my first time here. Thanks

I know University of Bergen doesn't require transcripts to be sent by the home institution but applicants are required to upload this:
no pls CuteTJ can u dm me I need more clarification I also want to apply for family reunion buh don't know how to go about it
How long it will take before your case is processed (before they issue your visa) will depend on your wife's nationality. Family immigration (reunification) visa processing time for Nigerians is currently 10 months according to udi website. It was initially 4 - 6 months when I applied but was changed in October 2021.

You can never get them to grant it to you on time. They will issue it when they are ready to issue it. Although you can ask for your case to be prioritized but you must have VERY STRONG reasons why they should move your case above those that applied before you. I deliberately emphasized very strong reasons.

If you have children, you must all submit your DNA samples. If not, you may still be required to submit your sample. The test is conducted to verify if there is actually a relationship between you all (husband/wife or father/mother/child). This applies to you if you are citizens of African countries, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and some countries who have poor birth certificate records.

I believe your wife would have sent her living expenses 126,000 nok. You as the spouse will then have to document (show that you have 161,000 nok) in your bank account. You are only exempted from the income requirement if you and your wife are EU citizens.

Check your university website, or your student portal, they should have a repository of courses offered and their description/content. Alternatively, if you still have your student handbook or you could get it

I doubt it! They abide by the law/instructions to the last letter.

When I applied, the application closed on 10th December and my transcript didn't get there until first week in February (8 - 9 weeks late) despite applying for my transcript since November. I wasn't disappointed when I was not offered admission.
