.... Ighalo and VicMo are reportedly in the provisional List, but to be candid I do not want either of the two in the final List.

They've done their parts, they should let the Boys do their Parts as well.

That 40 man list is more or less a ceremonial list...
We won't camp 40 players before the tournament start.. Clubs won't release their players for camping when they aren't sure of making the final list...

If I am the Eagles coach, the following players will bid their farewell from the team
Ekong
Omeruo
Shehu
Collins
Iwobi
Simon
Musa
Iheanacho
The aforementioned have nothing to offer the team.

As Coach, with two tournament upcoming, who are their replacement first?

Iwobi, Nacho?

You wantu turn SE to Eritrean team?

Ekong is not bidding farewell to any team bros

Ekong is good enough for the bench due to his recent bad form

Iwobi is good enough for the team ,if there is someone better than him then he should be benched and not leaving the team totally

Iheanacho is good enough for the bench also ,if he finds his scoring form he can also challenge to be a starter

Super eagles doesn’t need ighalo

But if Victor Moses is returning to the team then it’s a good one and a different thing entirely ,those that says he offers nothing are just talking out of sentiment

Most of you said we have many wingers and they are better than Victor Moses ,now please be sincere and ask yourself are our wingers doing the job ?

But Victor Moses is a thief ,if he is really comming back it’s because of the World Cup grin

We Better qualify for the World Cup

Do you think Patrick Kluivert, Seedorf or Vieira will be as passionate as let say Coach Sylvanus Okpala to push for grassroots football development?

There lies your answer.

I think we might never stop the back and forth if we keep going. We will always differ.

Nonetheless, I appreciate your civility, brother. Respect.

I think something better awaits him, he's currently bigger than Sarr which is no small feat.

If not because of AFCON obligations, Liverpool would be going for him next month.

Victor Moses is still relevant to our squad to be honest.

Looking at the caliber of players in the team presently, how many of them can win penalties, make decent crosses and corner kicks for the team? All these attributes are what Victor Moses will add to the team.

Furthermore, his presence may also complement our tall strikers who could make best use of his decent crosses.

For Ighalo, I think we should allow him to enjoy his retirement. He has paid his dues which we profoundly appreciate.

My opinion..

Fans in the stands were accusing director of bad buys.

Looks like Rafa is not the right fit for them. Hiring Ancellotti was a step in the right direction unfortunately they have regressed since his departure.

My personal 28-Man list for AFCON

Goalkeepers

Maduka Okoye

Francis Uzoho

Daniel Akpeyi

Defenders

Ola Aina

Tyrone Ebuehi

Chidozie Awaziem

Leon Balogun

William Troost-Ekong

Kevin Akpoguma

Calvin Bassey

Zaidu Sanusi

Midfielders

Wilfred Ndidi

Frank Onyeka

Joe Aribo

Alex Iwobi

Alhassan Yusuf

Ovie Ejaria

Samson Tijani

Attackers

Odion Ighalo

Paul Onuachu

Kelechi Iheanacho

Taiwo Awoniyi

Ahmed Musa

Victor Moses

Emmanuel Dennis

Samuel Chukwueze

Chidera Ejuke

Moses Simon/Ademola Lookman

A few thoughts behind my selection. Goalkeeping department pretty much picks itself. Defense doesn't need more than 8 guys honestly plus we have guys amongst them who can play multiple positions so no reason to add any extra numbers. Ekong for now should be given a nice seatbelt on the bench.

Midfield first four names are a no brainer but after them not much else. Yes we have talents but they aren't any obvious ones that stick out so I'm just picking the ones who might be able to do the job. I included Tijani because I feel any squad going to a tournament should always include a young prospect. Not because he might necessarily play but so he can learn and know what tournament football is all about before he's mature for the next competition.

The unfortunate absence of Osimhen has made me include Ighalo. His experience will come in handy to help the other strikers plus he's in decent form. I'm optimistic between KC, Taiwo and Onuachu one of them will step up to the plate. Victor Moses if he agrees to return is absolutely needed. Vicmo still has big game mentality which is essential going into a tournament with the magnitude of the AFCON. Musa presence is a given. Whether due to Captaincy, 'federal character' or 'experience' I have made peace with the fact that baring injuries he will be selected. Not sure who to pick between Simon and Lookman. On one hand Simon has been one of our better wingers when talking about club form but his awful performances in the GWG lately has me doubting if he should be going to Cameroon. If Vicmo declines to return then Simon will take his place.

Whoever is going to handle the team has an absolutely stacked attacking talent to work with even without Osimhen so should make good use of this obvious area of advantage.

I wish Alex Iwobi would move to Serie A, but as all English men do, he will never leave England.

I don't see any difference between Don Carlo and Rafa, they both played uninspiring football.

Ppu fail to realize here DT its due to d wingers failure to produce decent crosses, create chances etc is why d clamor for vmoses return is strong..we have d least goals in w/c qualifers when some teams re boosting of 25goals

True ,we av many wingers in d team ,but aw many of dem are effective for d team,we wail after every match dt we don't utilize our set piece well after creating many in a single match, yet we still do not want us to try an exp vicmo...so what exactly do we want

Even d striking option we claim to av capable hands..immediately osimhen was injured, all of sudden we realized we don't really have dt charismatic player in person of osimhen to spear d attack...is it nacho/onauchu dt is not reliable we want to have our hopes on for afcon title next year? Or untested awoniyi or Dennis dt is yet to prove demselves in d national team

This is main reason y we need ighalo now Dan ever, if we look at options on ground on who to spear head d attack in Cameroon, cos he has done it b4 three years ago as d highest goal scorer.

good points. Club form does not equate to national team form. I don't fall for our players doing well in Europe or anywhere until they replicate it in the national team. Our greatest exports to England are Mikel, Okocha,Aiyegbeni and Kanu but Mohamed Aboutrika and Rainford Kalaba,Hossam Hassan that played in Africa were more successful in international football than our greatest exports to Europe. Sometimes our Europe based players flatter to deceive. Don't be surprised to see Emmanuel Denis flop in GWG(not my prayer for him)

Can any of these players get into the first team of West Ham or Leicester, fellow Europe chasing clubs.

Would Rondon displace Vardy or Antonio
Would Delph replace Ndidi or Rice
Would Keane, one of the most error-prone players in the past 4 years, displace Zouma or Fofana?

If no, then Rafa is doing well with these players to be just 4 points off European places.
