It is not just Nigerian teachers, even in the US that Dickson178 mentioned, things are bad in American public schools. go to youtube and search for "teachers losing their temper" you would pity some American teachers.

A man I follow on Quora Matthew Bates who is a teacher, but in a Catholic private school in Chicago, has written a lot of answers regarding the discipline issues facing public schools in America.

Discipline is the bedrock learning. If you are not disciplined you can never learn.

If you've truly been a teacher, you would understand what it means to tutor children who've already been spoilt from home.
You can't be a teacher and be good to every student except you're a pretender who doesn't have the interest of the student at heart. As a disciplinarian knows what he's doing students will still like you.
