Good morning guys, kindly advice on what to expect as an aspiring bolt/Uber driver.
I just lost my job last month and plan to join you guys as an e-hailing driver but don't have a ride.
I'll like to confirm if it's possible to register as a driver and get a vehicle to drive for Uber/Bolt.
If it's possible, what could be their conditions?

Not everyone has the capacity to drive on the e~hailing platform, but experience would surely tell you where you belong to...

Truth is most guys doing this work now are accidental drivers. They just decided to do the work cos they heard that money dey there. Most don't know how to really drive. I see them on the roads every day.

It is that pathetic.

Walai... I'm also one of them, but the difference is....I know where my strength lies, over 2 years now, I've never driven more than 4days in a week and always less than 12 hours....Any attempt to go above this threshold would result to either the Car breaking down or I breakdown - (according to BAZOO grin)
To each is own, if you like update dashboard N1Billion.... "Your money na ur own ó" - in davidos voice...

But BAZOO said one thing some few pages longtime ago, which is Germaine... He said : "It amazes him how some dude, get the mental strength and motivation, waking up everyday to Drive in a City like lasgidi"....

Could money have been the motivation?
( can't really say)

A discern individual would know, this is the most difficult aspect of this hustle - getting the right motivation to go behind wheels everyday ..if you did have aspirations, dreams, goals you'd set to achieve . you will have a fair understanding how difficult it is to go by with this hustle. Mind you, to majority it is an END - (career/profession) , which I see nothing wrong in it, but to few ones it is a phase.

So to each is own...

Gracias!!!

You're right bro. Some are even doing it out of frustration, so they unleash the frustration on the road. You need to see the way this guy was squeezing his face and vexing, like someone made him angry before!

I lol at that ur story with the short guy.

It is just the kind of country we find ourselves. Mad drivers every where and the govt is only concerned about money! My cousin in the states, who did uber before going into truck business, told me the process it takes before you can drive on uber or Lyft. You have to pass through some process before you can get a driver's licence, not to talk of the process it takes driving on e-hailing.

He said a guy's licence was withdrawn from him cos they found out he had taken some alcohol. He did not hit anybody. He had to sell his truck cos he was banned from driving. Used the money to follow up his case in court. My cousin's friend bought the truck from him at a cheap price.

God go help us for this country! Thanks again brother

I had a very terrible experience with a rider this evening.

This man ordered me at Makoko community in Yaba area. He was going to the airport When I got there, he came out with a lady carrying two bags. I opened the trunk from inside and they put the bags and closed the trunk.

The man came and sat in front of the car but refused to close the door. He started asking me why I didn't come down to open the trunk for him. That, is he not paying for the trip, that I am not doing him a favour. So many trashes.

I told him that I opened the trunk from inside and I am already seated in the car so? He then said that he will cancel the trip. I told him that with all pleasure, he can cancel it.

The next thing, the man said that I will not take my car out of their estate until I bring his bags out of my car by myself. I came down from the car and he did. When we got to the gate, the estate security men asked me to go outside the gate, I told them that something is wrong with their brain to think that I will leave my car inside their estate and go outside so they will lock me out.

After much back and forth, I just knew the man had home advantage and there's no need dragging further, let me just remove his luggages from my car and move on to other trips.

When I brought his bag out, he started shouting that I have broken things inside the bag with the way I dropped it on the floor. I just entered my car and drove to the gate before those security people opened for me to drive out.

The man was telling me that he left university 35 years ago, that he has a personal driver that he pays 150k monthly. I guess he's use to getting served that he can't differentiate his domestic staff from someone that's there to provide a service and go.

This hustle sha. cry

To be issued DL for America and UK....na war, can't say for other European nation...but it seems if you did reside in some rural areas in America - North Carolina, Arkansas' to mention a few...you still fit use "craze without DL" dey drive without being apprehended - (so I was told)
Most Nigerians did fail up to 3 times before being issued DL...

Please I need your advice guys. I’ll be done with my HND program in about a week and I’m thinking about going into ehailing services, at least to make some cash before my NYSC. I have about 2 years driving experience and a license, and there is this Toyota muscle Camry that my uncle is willing to borrow me for any length of time. What advice do you have for me. Thanks
