OmodavidoX: Better still, don't wait for riders during trips except a few situations where you have to apply a human face. Such waits must never exceed five minutes. Waiting is forbidden when it's a short trip. End trip if rider insists on making a stop. I don't know how Bolt really works, that's why I don't bother with that app. If it's Uber, be sure wait time and time spent in traffic counts. So, if you are on Uber and you are lucky to find a surge trip (between 1,6- 2.0 only), you can wait during a trip. Waiting during a good surge trip is a cool way of making money without lifting a finger. Anything other than that, it pays you more to keep moving. In this business, your interest should always come first. Forget how a rider feels because they are not considerate themselves by asking you to wait stupidly. 11 Likes |

This happened to me when I just started. Took 3 young guys from egbeda to a far place like that in the night. Chai! I confuse! Trip ended 1200... Those guys noticed it and bottled their laughter... They transferred 1500 instead. I still blew back empty Like this, I'm reserving my strength till surge covers the whole of Lagos For the bolded, ReadaDream: 2 Likes 1 Share |

OmodavidoX: As she no include the stop or tell you before starting the trip, you can decide to end it right there and not wait. Without surge the trip no suppose pass 1200 or 1300, so the stop was just a waste of time and free of charge. Riders too dey look for means to save money. 5 Likes |

ReadaDream: Your moniker should surge chaser If surge no dey na to dey do calculation remain, if request enter i’ll ss and accept. Then head to rider app check estimate and then check gmap to see how road be. If road or estimate no make sense na arrive straight after 5mins we go again. 2 Likes |

IFSHR: Maybe you're a bolt agent too, I really don't know. They are yet to pay me my balance, since 2weeks. I also picked someone yesterday evening, from Awoyaya to chemist Finbarr's road, with all the mad traffic I encountered, money came to 6k. My phone is very good. My network is also very good. Bolt is really messed up. I beat my chest and say it again and again...they are messed up big time. Uber is the best! |

Barbiturate:Boss I'm not for nor against Bolt. But I'd like you to try something. When next you get a long trip request, take a screenshot incase you forget the destination address. Open your rider App, and fill in the pick up and destination so you can have an idea of the fare breakdown. After completing the trip let's know if you were short changed from the initial estimate shown. Yaba from Sangotedo is around 3500 to 4500, this I know. Airport is from 5500 to 7000. Provided there's no traffic. Awoyaya can't be more than 5500 to yaba without surge and traffic, so you getting 6k is in order. This is why I don't embark on such journey except its taking me home. You've been in this game for a long time to know better. Perhaps you just like to bash Bolt. I chase Surge as far as Chevron drive from Sangotedo early morning because I'd stay back at home than do go on some trip. This morning I got 3 Airport trip around 5am without surge, I bounced them. Got to Chevron still got Airport again on 1.1, I bounce the mumu trip. Never Me. 3 Likes

Barbiturate: Don't answer question based on sentiment always say the fact. What the guy asked, is if traffic affect pricing and the obvious answer is yes.... Awoyaya to st finbarrs road without surge is always like 4,800 or 5k with normal traffic and yours end at 6k, traffic played its role. I still intiated a fast payout yesterday and get paid, if bolt is yet to pay you and you have positive balance payout yourself or complain to them. I am not a bolt staff nor agent, I am a bolt partner just like you. |

Barbiturate:Nothing to see here boss. Next time for education purpose not for argument sake. When you get one of such trip, check the estimate, take a screenshot of the fare breakdown and final price. Only then we'd know if there's a discrepancy or not. |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ReadaDream(m): 3:14pm On Dec 09, 2021 |
Barbiturate:I said it before and I'm saying it again. When you accept a Bolt trip without surge particularly a long one, na confusion e they cause. The price and distance covered must shock you. Meanwhile it's just 47km Sangotedo to Airport is about 55km and it's 5500 provided there's no traffic, with traffic you'd get 6 to 6.5k. |

For some of us taking transfers, note that some bank transfers do reverse, especially if riders use Access ban or Kuda bank. I had this funny experience with a rider who transferred from Kuda today. Thank God Na guy wey get church mind. He did the transfer in my presence and I saw successful. Na so I comot for another trip. Minutes later alert no reach. I had to call him. He asked me to come over cos he would prefer I take him else again. Twas when I got to his place I narrated fully to him that the transfer didn't go through. After ending the new trip with him, then he tried transferring to me thrice. Each was successful. But lo and behold, they were all reversed. The last one later went through as I saw the alert in my bank app. So, watch your eye out there. 1 Like |

Barbiturate: I don't know how you think traffic works bro. Maybe you're thinking that staying in traffic will be increasing your fare by #500 per minute. If the distance and time covered on that your screenshot is correct, then bolt even over paid you at 6k. Distance = 47.5*70 = 3,325 Time = 147*12= 1,764 Base fare = 260 Booking fee = 20 Total = 5,369 Approximate = 5400. I avoid traffic like a plaque. Even with surge trips, cos spending extra 1hr in traffic can only add #700 to the actual price of a surgeless trip. 1hr=60mins=60*12=#720 Conclusion: Traffic adds to the price of a trip; but it's almost insignificant. 11 Likes 1 Share

Traffic makes little or no difference to final fare, except on surge trip. Take note of that. Barbiturate: 2 Likes |

Felicity0001: I later saw this in my insurance policy and was very angry at myself for not noticing it initially. I know they will soon send me a mail once the insurance is about expiring. I will refer them to that clause and threaten them that I'm going to another insurance company that is ready to insure the car against vandals. 1 Like |
