They sold a lot of it new now market is flooded with used ones at a cheap price and the competition like Murano, Crosstour and Venza are not as appealing?

People are looking for a semblance of luxury at a reasonable price but Edge at a lower price than, RX 350.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee is a more capable SUV, but had not be given the chance in the Nigerian market.

When the desirable is not available, the available becomes desirable.

OH that means many of them were manage by Nigerians, many of whom are not particularly good in maintenance>>>

What is the initial cost, fuel, general maintenance, parts availability like? I reckon the more the numbers of same cars on the road the more the parts available

Not really, most of the used cars sold in Nigeria are 3rd and 4th hand used car abroad with at least 8 years on them.
These cars sell at least 100k units every year, and maybe a defect that make the resale value low.
The new models coming out now are soo good and expensive, buyers are getting rid of older vehicles because we are in the next stage of technological improvement which happens almost every 10 years.

That's misconception in your first paragraph. NOT MANAGED BY NIGERIANS AND ARE VERY GOOD MAINTENANCE WISE.

What sultaan was trying to drive out was EDGE were relatively sold at moderate price and affordable to average Nigerians with its excellent tech and durability compared to its equivalents in other vehicles make.

For instance, I as a Ford specialist, solely Ford. my family used Escape, it was getting old, I bought 2012 Edge for them and withdrew the old escape and put it in my workshop for rough errands because it's rugged despite the fact that it's getting old.

Do you know why I got my family Edge, not because it's cheap but because it's very rugged like the previously used Escape. I don't want my family to disturb me while am in my workshop repairing costumers Ford, so I got them a ride that will definitely take them back to the house whenever any fault develops.

Another plus to Ford particularly edge. You will never experience their PCM( Brainbox) ECM going bad unlike other vehicles make. Go to the spare parts markets, see people buying Brainbox of other makes like pea nuts and water.

Shortly find out these information by yourself and confirm the reality.

Hello, pls i bought a 04/05 F150, bought a Tokunbo engine and used the car for sometime. I parked it for a weeks and tried to start the car and it never started. A mechanic told me the engine is hooked as it doesn't roll!!! What could be the problem here
