I will like to share a sincere apology on how I went off at the appointment of Eguavoen. Even if it was not the trajectory I expected from the team and felt he has been off the scene to just take it, I think it is not too bad an appointment.

The coming weeks will give us an idea what to expect if we don't get a press conference from him.

As for Salisu, that is a very tough one but we can not deny his technical know how. I feel Rohr's game suffered with the suspension of Salisu. Salisu seemed a key arsenal for Rohr.

As for Yobo, he still remains a National hero and vastly experience. He might have more to offer tactically than it looks.

Dr. Terry. We should hope his knowledge can transcend into tactical reading and inputs for the team.

I think with the explained break down of law and order in the camp by Pinnick, I see why the likes of Kanu and Okocha were recruited.

Pinnick believes with more highly respected names in the camp. Ex-Players that have done it in Europe and for the National team. Those that have seen money, they can get the players to respect the team's management.

So I will throw in my support behind the coaching crew and the NFF to see how the first few week plays put before taking my final stance.

Now, nah the Gjoe wey we know for here be this,

no be that one wey begin throw Jamb question like Similar, upadan since the sack and appointments cool

He knows he can't quote me on that.
All he puts up there is becausehe does not rate the Swedish league and Nigeria home groomed players

Amoo is not bad if he get the last slot for an AM after Iwobi and Aribo get picked..still not sold on Aribo yet as an AM.. we need players who can pass and give defensive split passes from midfield to attack

I absolutely do not rate the Swedish league as a quality league. It is rated at about 14 just below the Turkish league.

Yes according to you, I have never rated , Ighalo, Etebo, Victor Moses, Yobo, Mikel, etc, etc

It is not about the result but the execution of the game plan. Remember Leeds just gave Chelsea a tough game.

They parked the bus against Chelsea. I was surprised they underestimated Man city.

Do you think these players send any ex international cos I remember how Mikel indirectly talked Okocha down for coming out to criticize their performance....I remember how Omeruo's wife criticized Okocha openly,so Austin Okocha,Kanu and Garba Lawal should take a caution in the camp and act like a good ambassador to the boys.

We have lots of players waiting to grab the chance to play for SE. The arrogant ones should be kicked out ASAP.

Having a sex with a woman who is not your wife or a partner a day before a march will definitely affect your performance on the pitch.
It's not encouraged.

If that sex party rumor is true,

Sorry dude your talking balderdash.

You know how many top world class players use the services of Olosho as well as have side chicks.

Neymar, Balotelli, Ronaldo, Rooney, Benzema, Raheem, Kyle, etc, etc the list is absolutely endless.

Many are a lot more discreet about it.

What you do in your free time is your business but once you are called up for a game you act professional. At least wait after the game before sowing your wild oats.

I remember it was this kind of behavior that got Foden and Mason Greenwood sent home from the England camp before a game.

This is not an ideal situation honestly speaking but all we can do is hope for the best and back the Eguavoen led crew.

Yes, the value standards are poor, there is definitely that.

And while I did not want to mention any names, we all are privy to the entire debacle that happened with Iheanacho thanks to his father. It is just a pointer to what was to be expected long term, because I cannot imagine such a person instilling the right values in their child when they are bereft of it.

In comparison, you can look at how Osimhen has handled himself since his breakout, and there is clearly a difference in values, and by extension, drive.

That being said, poverty in itself strips far too many people of certain core values necessary for growth.

I agree with your postulation though

Poverty can strip you of many things, but it will eventually come down to CHOICE.

But it poverty can also motivate you to succeed and overcome AGAINST all odds. It will build character and resilience as you strive to overcome.

Sometimes having it too easy can make you spineless, and have a warped sense of value, conceited, selfish and inconsiderate. Such people become perverse in thier dealings with everyday people.

This year I was in an Nigeria for 7 months over three trips. To keep myself in perspective, l go to see some friends who live in abacha ( kpacko houses with sheets of tarpaulin) , in Lekki. There are zero facilities.

But the people live in extremities, some choose crime, some choose righteousness, some hold on to thier dignity in the midst of extreme poverty. But it helps me to keep myself in perspective.

People have said to me why❓ ( they are not in your socio economic strata) I learn humility and appreciation from them, and life values.

I am not hear to make a moral judgement.

But the issue is , the pertinent question❓❓ , does this in any way affect affect their ability to perform at the highest level.

Sleeping with your wife or girlfriend or Escort it's a question of perspective.

Having a bout of bedmatics may actually help a player to relax and focus on the game and overcome stress and nervousness. And one thing for sure, it will enhance his ability to get a really good night's relaxing sleep before a very important game.

This is not the point of debate. The point is obeying camp rules set by authorities.

If the law says no visitors during camping for International games, you can not go and do the opposite.

Even if sleeping with three girls in one night will make the player score a double hat trick the next day, he can not do it. That is breaking the laid down rules.

When you coach your own, you can make your rules that players should camp in brothels before the game.

The science of it is not yet known. Some say sex before a match helps some say it doesn't. However like you I'm also not looking at the moral aspect. I'm just interrogating the lack of professionalism such behavior breeds.

If players are going to be engaging in 'extra curricula' activity let it be a team decision and not a group of players undermining the rest. Personally if you have been getting some for weeks on end a few days or a month of celibacy won't kill you.

You r still talking about religion

I have told u what i talk about is far greater than religion.
Though this is sports section but,

Sometimes take ur mind off religion for a while n try to b open minded to a greater light, new and greater truths.

Even at that u can never take religion out of life.

It's softmindedness that often invades religion with frivolities.

There is a widespread belief that there is conflict between science and religion.
But this is not true, there might b conflicts between toughminded scientist and softminded religionist,
but not science and religion.

They r complementary,
religion gives wisdom and control,
science gives knowledge and power.
Religion for values,
Science for facts.

Religion prevents science from falling into obsolete materialism.
Science keeps religion from sinking into the valley of crippling irrationalism.

It is not me who is blinded by religion,
It is u who misunderstand religion because u r a softminded scientist perhaps.
But u can have a change of heart someday.
People usually do.

Above all else the greater truth that i stood for is far greater than religion and science.

U saw that i talked about two things there.

I talked about having a sex 10-12rs with someone who is not your wife affecting performance.

Then i talked about the unacceptabilty and d shamefulness of the sex party rumor.

But yet u chose the one u thought pertinent to u so that u can render my assertion obsolate and stupid.

Of all d people in d people in house,as learned as u r,
U want to tell me u have not heard something related to what i said up there about having sex few hours before a march can have effect on u.
Whether it is accepted by some or not.

What u should have said is that u don't believe it,not rendering my opinion as stupid.

Two weeks camping is too short forty 40man list.
But if they can use few days to assess some few players that have not been part of team,to see if they r better, then prune d list immediately,it's still ok.

According to Punch newsPaPPers, Nff wants
to aPPoint another foreign coach next week.
Nff are fond of doing the right thing the wrong way.
We dont need a foreign coach
Also, we may sign another Rohr like contract with him and
so the contract has to be scrutinized by the sPorts minister before we get into trouble.

THE PROBLEM WITH FOREIGN COACHES.
They don't understand our native style of Play and how to interPrete it in
the light of modern football.
A foreing coach will not address our Problem of lack of creative midfielders
Such a coach will not use alhassan yusuf, nwakali etc and then invite onuachu and musa to the team.
Another Problem is he will be too exPensive for us.
If we appoint a foreing coach before the nations cup we are not going anywhere
Our problem is that we need a coach who understands our style of football and can interprete it for
us so as to get the best results.
They should leave Eguavon there and if they need a change, Amunike will be better
The tragedy of European coaches is that they try and force an alien style of play on Africans and it
does not work.
Westerhoof is one of the few foreign coaches that really understood us.
Also, a foreign coach in the next 1 week will not understand our football.
He will play our players out of position.
the problem with Africans in general is that we do not embrace our originality which is unique
and with which we can conquer the world. That is exactly what happened with the usa 94 team.
We did not care that Stoichkov was in Barcelona and Bulgaria were one of the best teams in the world.
We simply expressed ourselves properly
WE DONT NEED A FOREIGN COACH FOR NOW!!!

Asides that a new coach will need time to gel with the team, there's no other reason not to hire one rn
