The wife is insensitive or extremely immature. The parents can't be blamed. He lived with you as a spouse. What did she do to get him help from her own parents of the in-laws didn't respond. The food and cash she wants from Nigerians for the baby is supposed to last 19 years or what? |

IvarDboneless: They are not too young marry. Na economy spoil things. These were the age range for people to marry in the 50s, 60s and 70s. It may surprise you to know that even with the economy, children from the upper middle class families that are thru with their university education at 20 and are fixed up by 22 are already getting married at 25 these days. Whatsoever faces a person, certainly has its back turned to another person. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Ifesinachi22: I just watched it. They could have talked him out of jumping. The guy was busy filming. I know people said he couldn't have been saved, but you could see in his eyes that he was still reconsidering the jump...If that guy had started a conversation with him, he would have stuck around long enough to be convinced not to jump. He jumped the moment he noticed the man's tone was a condescending one. The tone those people that keep typing "suicide is not an option" here would have used if they were there. You can't use that tone with a suicidal person, it will just make him/her go ahead with it quicker. I have been there, so I know what I am talking about. If you watch Hollywood movies where they are trying to talk a person off a ledge, they don't condemn the action he is about to take...they don't make him/her feel stupid. https://politicos.ng/video-young-man-jumps-into-lagos-lagoon-in-suicide-bid/ 1 Like |

fkj950ax:just read abt surface tention and viscosity..we measure viscosity by measuring the rate at which a metal ball falls through a liquid..water has a surface tention..i did this in ss2 like 20 years ago before i switched to accounting...cuz i didnt want to rewrite jamb..only 1 mark cut me off..so painful..didnt enjoy accounting as a course..too easy for me.so i wasnt attending classes .didnt have passion for it so i got 2..2..funny enough its wat is hepping me now.most of my guys dat did engineering couldnt get job..maybe God hand dey dont know sha.so water oil etc has a skin..bonded by molecules even if it not hard if u land on it u will get injured to break those molecules..the repelling force is the splash...newtons law of impact...repelling force..just like land so water has a skin |

DrinkWater10: The impact forces the air out of your lungs, involuntary ingestion of water thru the nasal and buccal cavities will induce seizures. It's at that moment your weight will act, dragging you done the watery depths where asphyxiation occurs The body will resurface after 2-3 days.. the water will release it 2 Likes 1 Share |

Amatarasha: Pls do not blame or curse the parents. And pray you don't have a drug addict as a child. You can't curse the parents when you probably don't have all the details. Who knows what the parents may have gone through to help him maybe for years without success. They probably might have gotten tired of him. Besides, I can bet you that he did not marry that girl properly. He may have gotten her pregnant and they started living together. Was it the parent that made that choice for him? Was it the parents that thought him how to take drugs. A drug addict as child is the worst nightmare for any parent. I don't blame the parents. At 25, he is no longer a child. The parents may likely be in their 70's battling with old age and one sickness or the other. 1 Like |

[She cannot effect any change. Most marriages u see are from unprotected sex. quote author=seborrhic post=108588959] Your husband was a drug addict and you as a wife couldn't persuade him enough to stop it,but are now instead blaming the parents. The question should be what efforts did u make as a loving wife. What also could have led him into drugs?Did u as the wife contribute to his depression by your character and monetary demands, knowing he was also catering for his child? Did he regret being a dad at such a young age? Even if blame has to be shared,it should be 50-50,you as the wife and the parents, afterall any man or woman that says he or she is ready for marriage assumes he is mature enough to weather the demands of marriage.[/quote] |

neoclassical: There was a rail and the height of that rail is about half of the body, no way the rescuer would have fallen over it. The worst that could happen was to let go of the victim if the rescuer couldn't lift or hold him for long for others to join his effort. At the same time, I condemn early marriage in its entirety. Imagine blaming the parents for not taking care of a married man, when he is supposed to be taking care of his parents. Having parents and getting married means the help should now become a one way traffic according to your logic, from the son to the parents and no more the other way? Lol. If you have a means of livelihood, you can marry anything you want, otherwise, why rushing into marriage at such early stage. Such depression would have been avoided if he did not have a family to cater for at the age of 25 years without tangible means of sustenance, considering the perilous times we find ourselves orchestrated by evil old men who call themselves leaders. His death wasn't really about finance alone but also drugs addiction. So, I don't know why you're making it about "early marriage and means of livelihood". |
