vankelvin:real development is a conscious effort ... Unfortunately when you have a bad economy and a Terrible education system that can only employ 90k people per year like in Kenya , then you know you have a real disaster.. It's good that the Ghanaian economy despite it choked nature can still employ over 300,000 people into white collar jobs yearly and has over 500,000 Opportunities in the skills sector for everyone to partake in and make a great living. 1 Like |

Pls let me know when Kenya hits this level. We are diversifying and also industrializing gradually. I give it 3 more years and our economy will be very solid and take a sporadic unprecedented turn. I mean we are tapping into mining, gas sector,a train is being built in kaduna and will see transfer of Chinese technology on train production in the next 2 years. And now we have aircraft production. I say we are nailing the basics. Watch out africa, watch out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtIecJrdDpM 1 Like |

The Ghana Zoo - a communist backwater without any strong formal economy worth employing even 10K per year. Start here - For example in 2014 - total of 207K jobs created with 180K from services sectors. Of that 80 percent is informal. Total formal jobs created - Industry - 8,000 - and services - 36,000 ( I bet most in government sector) - agriculture figures are almost neglible. Total formal jobs - 45K. Total informal jobs - 170K. More than half of all the jobs (127k) are just self-employment - hawking and pop-mom shops - https://www2.statsghana.gov.gh/docfiles/IBES_Questionnaires/IBES%201%20reports/JOB%20CREATION%20REPORT_FINAL%2024-5-16.pdf Just30: 2 Likes |

Who is suicidal enough to fly made in Nigeria helicopter. Make biycles first. Stop rebadging Chinese crap and start making real things. For example Veitnam export 12B dollars worth of bicycles. That is where you should focus. Not pretending to make helicopters, fighter jets and drones. samorobo: 1 Like |

Surely what is there to be proud of your Coconut pruduction in Tanzania. Coconut head - this kind of mental retardation is embarrasing. 10K metric tonnes...even kenya does almost 100k - which is still embarrassingly low. According to the Nuts and Oil Crops Directorate, at the Coast, coconut trees had taken up 82,921 hectares of land, producing 92,569 metric tonnes worth Sh4. 8 billion by 2018. Kilifi county leads in coconut farming at the Coast with a total of about 40,225 hectares under coconut trees.19 Aug 2021 Kazikazi: 2 Likes |

Ghana the communist zoo - of 45k formal jobs - roughly half are from gov - the other half from private sector - 8,000 from industries - and some from services (hotels). Majority of the jobs are self-employment otherwise known as hustling or eking a living. Vis Graduates from tertiary education, both sexes (number) in Ghana was reported at 109874 Persons in 2018, according to the World Bank collection of development indicators, compiled from officially recognized sources. So you can imagine maybe of that 100K graduates - only 20k will be lucky to get a job - the rest have to eke a living in streets or try to walk the Sahara to pick fruits in Italy 2 Likes

Mkenya2019:noise as usual The Ghanaian economy is not your mate oo So even as at 2014, the Ghanaian economy was still creating over 300,000 jobs thereby making almost 90% of graduates employed.. With the private sector creating the most jobs.. Fast forward to 2021 and over 500,000 jobs were created for both skilled and unskilled hands.. 1 Like |

Mkenya2019:You are still making lunatic argument Basically all graduate managed to find jobs or Created their own jobs.... 200,000 plus jobs... Can the Kenyan economy do that ? Kenya can barely create 20,000 jobs per year and that is why 90% of your graduates are unemployed and rushing into drug. Do you even know what skilled jobs mean? 1 Like |

Mkenya2019:there's is an Akan saying "Common sense is taught at home ... It is called home sense" You didn't grow up with one. The empirical evidence proves that yearly, Ghana economy creates more jobs than the Kenyan govt control economy can create in 3 years. Making it possible for 90% of graduates to find work Stop making useless noise and build your economy 2 Likes |

Mkenya2019:Your economy is just backward kiddo It is unable to create jobs making you guys useless.. No wonder your country unemployment rate stands at 60% Even one district one factory managed to create almost 160,000 jobs in 2021 .... That is almost 3 times the number of jobs created by your economy 1 Like |

Empirical evidence - Kenya 2014 - versus Ghana 2014 - Total jobs created in Kenya 800K versus Ghana 200K - four times Total formal Jobs 45K - Kenya 130K - 3 times. Ghana pop 30M. Kenya 50M. Now you know who is AHEAD. According to data from Kenya’s Economic Survey 2015, the informal sector employed 11.8 million people in 2014 against 2.4 million in the modern or formal sector. Total recorded employment stands at 14.3 million. Out of the 799,700 jobs created last year, 693,400 were in the informal sector. The number of new formal sector jobs fell in 2014 to 106,400 from 134,200 in the previous year. Just30: 1 Like |

1) Understand jobs created annually - and aggregated sector jobs - so divide those jobs by number of years the laughable 1D1F has run. 2) Below is data from gov - 15th dec 2020 - on the 1D1F. Key word indirect jobs. “The 106 factories that are currently operational have created a total of 153,782 direct and indirect jobs. Mr. Speaker, it is expected that when the additional 148 projects currently under construction are completed, the cumulative number of direct and indirect jobs created will increase to 288,599.” Just30: 1 Like |

Mkenya2019:such nonsense Now we're talking about informal jobs? When did you jump from your formal job argument to informal? Informal job creation in Ghana stands at 2 million per year... That is almost 3 times what Kenya created... Anyway, let's get back to the facts... According to the world Bank, over one million Kenyans enter the labour market yearly but from 2015 to 2019... The Kenyan economy was only able to create 500,000 jobs . So basically, 4.5 million Kenyans were unemployed This is disgusting, your country does not have a future with this level of unemployment 3 Likes |
