Astrid4: Just writing story. The point is simple. Gerard coach under 18 at Liverpool and Boom Rangers. Thierry Henry had to do assistant work for years to Land Monaco. The opportunities are different. Let them give Kolo Toure Rangers with all his coaching experience. They won't. It is a simple fact that does not even need debate. |

Karlovych: Does it change the point or are you bringing a point relevant to the debate. The point is very simple. Nwakali offers a skillset the other players do not offer. .. |

Astrid4: It is called referencing, not comparison. I am showing you that Guardiola got the Barcelona job without a loaded CV. He got it down to his philosophy and playing pattern. So I am more interested in philosophy and coaching pattern over CV . How you read that as comparing Guardiola and Eguavoen is shocking. 1 Like |

Personally, except there are other factors, Akpoguma was never exceptional otherwise Rohr would not have kept him on the bench whilst Aina, Omeruo, Awaziem, Ekong, & Shehu gets game time over him despite his football profile. In the friendly against Tunisia & the Sierra Leone match he was not convincing. On Olisa ndah, he was in imama's olympic u23 qualifier team, he was also part of that team that failed in wafu game (2019) & CHAN qualifier against Togo. He also played in the thumping by mexico of recent memory. That dude is not that special as claimed by some folks here. He may be shining against players that are all muscle & speed in the SA PSL but at the big stage his true potential will face the litmus test. Maybe because he's from the local league where the mentality is to always play long high passes and the coach claimed he wants something like that and/or it could be another opportunity to get a better deal for him elsewhere. Remember Anayo Iwuala of recent memory in the Super Eagles. Remember Valentine Ozornwafor too in the friendly against Cameroon. Just something to help a brother with. Nigerian way. Period! |

[s] TheGoodJoe:[/s] You're saying absolute rubbish I would rather work as an assistant coach with Belgium for 2 years (then boom to Monaco) than to work with Liverpool U-18 then coach rangers and now Aston Villa...Henry had opportunity Steven Gerrard didn't even have yet you're gonna be shouting with white supremacists up and down despite his whole fvck up he went to USA coached a MLS team and now back to Belgium as an assistant coach and yet you think the system is unfair to him...then you must be joking |

Karlovych: For you to call it imaginary means you don't understand the point. Nwakali has the ability to play long balls and reading offensive gaps. It is a skill and the way he plays. Eguavoen likes a midfielder with that skill. Gerrit? Allow the coach work. When Rohr called Okoye, you did not bring out CV. |

Astrid4:If Austin doesn't have a coaching badge do you think he'd have been a coach of the SE in 2006? Think about it bruh Head coaches are always badged coaches, it's a FIFA rule. Why do you think Yobo is running after coaching badges now? 1 Like |

andrewbaba44: We don't have any defender better than Balogun, not even Awaziem. We struggle without him. I don't need to talk much about Nwakali, I will quote your post after the AFCON, that is if Nwakali gets the opportunity to perform. In the last six games, starting only two games and making two substitute appearances, and despite our poor performances in attack, Ejuke has two attempts at goal, and has at least made three key passes. Name any winger who has done so. Iwobi has two assists in his last three games. This is good. Remember i said these players bring something unique. Balogun is a our only ball playing central defender. Ndidi makes vital blocks and interceptions, and very good in reading the opponents and snuffing out threats. Nwakali is a good freekick taker in addition to his ball distribution skills and contributions to defense. Only Ndidi, Onyeka and Etebo have an edge over him in defensive contributions. Iwobi's assists speaks for him Ejuke and Chuks are players who can create chances for themselves out of nothing and also create for others. I don't need to talk about Osimhen |

Astrid4:Austin have coached the SE previously oo, remember he was an U17 coach at 2003 or so WC. You can't become coach and not have a coaching license. Before his NFF appointment, he had been appointed as coach of Stad Malien. Come on put some respect to his name. No be everybody dey make noise |

Astrid4:You don't know who you are getting to about. Eguavon wasn't his preferred candidate for the job and he also expressed his dissatisfaction at his appointment too but he only began to warm up to him when the video of Eguavon showing some details about the playing philosophy of past Nigeria teams. |
