grin Just look at this here. Players fighting for UCL glory and writing their names in time doing their jobs is dying for Tuchel.
You think this is the praetorian guard.

It is NOTHING but your opinion. Till you can prove that our boys morale is affected by this news, you're on one of those your long opinionated blue epistles.

Long opinions don't turn to fact suddenly

Tuchel did not join the team on the Champions League Final. So it is not about Champions League alone.

I did not say Eguavoen wants to coach the team. I said the mind set of the players should be.

I repeat the mind set of the players should be. To keep them focused on impressing the coach
.

Now they are going to the tournament with he mind set that he is not their coach.

Do you think this is a good call?
That will be the players loss too if they misbehave, they might not be handed subsequent call ups

It was an error. I meant represent Nigeria.

Now answer this. Is Eguavoen being interim an hidden fact since the day he was named?

Why is your question bordering on an already answered point?

I typed clearly. That the PLAYERS WILL FEEL HE MIGHT CONTINUE AS COACH AND WANT TO IMPRESS HIM.

Does that not show they know he is interim? So why are you asking if they know his interim when I clearly stated it?

That is why the NFF should be doing everything to prevent any chance of misbehavior. Especially when they themselves complained about poor attitude in camp under Rohr.

Amajuju is a clown.. Appointing Eguaveon is gonna be his first biggest mistake.. The clown called Eguaveon came and started acting like a drunk.. Imagine the trash list.. We will wonder why the likes of Eze, Olise will not want to play for us.

The way we run our national team is a joke. Running it like the coaches collects bribes...

You switch players like Akpoguma, Lookman, Ejaria, and you ditch them for clearly inferior players for certain agendas.

You will reap what you sow.

Second mistake is appointing a proper 61 year old journey man who lost 8 matches as coach of Porto in 22 games.. Baba only last one year anywhere he goes.. Lagerback pro max. Smh

What are you talking represent Coach.

I repeat, it is basic. You do any thing to raise players morale.

It is simple. The announcement that Peseiro is the new coach before the tournament tells the player that Eguavoen is not their coach.

This is a fact you can not bend.

This happens fairly often in international and club football and while I see why you may be concerned, an argument can also be made about the players auditioning for the new coach as well. Any player that deliberately performs poorly at AFCON will do themselves no favours in the eyes of the new coach

Examples of coaches whose players knew for sure that there relationship was on an interim basis or only has a short life span are

1. Philippe Scolari (2008) - Chelsea announced his appointment while he was still coaching Portugal in Euros 2008
2. Hiddink (2009) - "Chelsea confirmed on 11 February 2009 that Hiddink would become Scolari's replacement until the end of the season, whilst continuing his duties with Russia"
3. Hiddink (2016) - He was appointed in an interim capacity after Mourinho's sack
4. Conte(2016) - He was announced as Chelsea's coach months before Euro 2016 and Italy's performance did not appear to have been affected even though his role in the team could now be considered "interim"

More recently , Hansi Flick announced he was leaving Bayern Munich while the bundesliga still had a month to run

Where do bare faced shameless LIARS go

Ademola Lookman has put in place requirements to switch his allegiance to the Super Eagles from England, according to Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) technical assistant Tunde Adelakun.

According to the Technical Assistant of the NFF Tunde Adelakun who revealed that the RB Leipzig midfielder has made known his intention to the Federation with the NFF now waiting on full clearance before finally calling him up.

“Lookman has applied for the switch and all the documents are in order. It’s a positive step forward when made his commitment to Nigeria and we are just waiting for a FIFA clearance.

The pertinent thing is to look at the date this was published . I knew this very clearly from my own sources.

England Under 20 World Cup Hero Set To Switch Allegiance To Nigeria

England youth standout Ademola Lookman is hoping to switch his international allegiance to Nigeria, as prospects of an England call-up diminish.

The Leicester City youngster, who previously played for the likes of Charlton, Everton and RB Leipzig, was born in the UK, but he is eligible to play for Nigeria on account of his parents.

Lookman represented England at U19, U20 and U21 level, with the undisputed highlight of his time in the junior ranks being 2017's U-20 World Cup triumph.

The 24-year-old starred in the tournament alongside the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Fikayo Tomori, netting three goals en-route to the final.

Things have been more turbulent at club level since then, although the 20/21 campaign was something of a breakthrough for Lookman, as he made 34 Premier League appearances for Fulham in their ultimately fateful attempt to avoid relegation.

However, that campaign was enough to convince Leicester City to take a chance on the pacey winger, who has already scored twice for his new club this season.

With Gareth Southgate currently spoilt for choice when it comes to high-qualify wingers and forwards, even if Lookman does continue to impress under Brendan Rodgers, a call-up to England's senior squad is still highly unlikely.

Just yesterday we saw the likes of Jadon Sancho, Emile Smith-Rowe and Mason Greenwood all missing out on his latest 23-man World Cup qualifier squad, which once again highlights the depth England have in attack.

Previously, the wide-man turned down three official approaches from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to represent the African nation instead.

Speaking in 2020, Lookman stated: "I've not changed my mind [on wanting to represent England] but I'm open, and it's good to have different opportunities."

One year on, the player appears to have had a change of heart. BBC Sport reports that Lookman has officially began the process to switch allegiances to Nigeria, where opportunities to play regular international football will be more readily available.

It could turn out to be a lengthy process, as Lookman's appearances for England's junior sides complicate matters somewhat - meaning he will have to wait a bit longer to make his debut for the Super Eagles.

NFF chief scout Tunde Adelakun told the BBC: "We are aware of Lookman's desire to play for us and I have spoken to him as well. However, there is a process to it."

"After this process, then comes the consideration and decision of the head coach [Rohr] on whether or when he deems it fit to get him involved."

Meanwhile in a squad of 28 we have 4 actual midfielders..(Ndidi, Nwakali, Onyeka, Aribo)

One of them is a rookie playing in the 2nd division. Onyeka and Aribo will be joining late..But don't worry we have 7 strikers ready to score goals with nobody playing behind them.

But they will choose Bonke the brick layer because he has played in the UCL for some useless team. How on earth do these clowns do their scouting?

The point is the effect on the team. You can argue that they will want to prove themselves to the new manager but the genuine message is that Eguavoen is not coach. Which is not the message to send before the competition when Eguavoen is leading them to the competition.

By the way, with respect to the player playing to impress the new manager, it ascertains the point that they will not be playing for the manager leading them in the AFCON but another manager.

Like I said, Rohr understood the ideology of keeping a team together. A national team with barely weeks to prepare but duly loves one another. It makes life easier for the coach to work with. Take a look at inter. New players were either old faces or new, hungry ones. Partly due to debt, but still, them love each other. And this faces from last season want the same goal.

Iv broken it down Abi?

It's not misplaced hope, but as a patriotic Nigerian, I think it was the safer choice of picks

Ademola lookman scored one goal yesterday... One goal o!
Suddenly he has become Messi and Ronaldo rolled into one, his exclusion has become the reason why Buhari will remove subsidy and everyone in Nigeria will suffer undecided
Iheanacho scored a goal and assisted two the other day... Heaven did not fall, people were still saying he should be dropped.
The level of foreign born ass licking here is something else!

Lookman is a winger and he has played 8 games scored three goals in the EPL this season.

KC is a striker ,false 9 , forward player, not sure really but he can't play wing . He has played 14 games and scored 3 goals.

From the moment Ademola comes on he changes the game and gets the winning goal against Liverpool. He was outstanding beating his man Trent several times.

That's just being ,matter of fact.

Where is the supposed over hype and gassing of Nigerian origin players developed outside of Nigeria.

You are just blatantly prejudiced.
