Has Union Bank concluded to delist?
No where was it mentioned that UBN is delisting.......
Only sold larger percentage to Titan Trust in form of acquisition.....
The percentage sold includes that of Atlas Mara as well.
Think we still needed to know how much Titan is paying per share of UBN.

You are right about UBN might not delist.
The investors took advantage of UBN OS to mop-up everything and sell to each other.

Notice there was no major news from NSE about who is selling and buying, like we got from First Bank.

They certainly have not effected it.....

@Pa Ewumi, FMDQ and NGX fighting to take control of CSCS Nigeria. NGX has been doing some heavy buyback of CSCS shares as they fight for control as 2 of the highest shareholders of CSCS have sold their shares to FMDQ. NASD ran from 3 Naira to 27 Naira in less than 3 months. We might see another power-play here as CSCS is the cash cow of NGX and should they lose control to FMDQ ( Which I will like) some people on the board of CSCS may go.
In the meanwhile congrats t all those who have CSCS Nigeria shares. You are in for some ride there

True. Regulatory approvals could take long like that of Oando or not too long like that of Access/Diamond.

There is one financial stock I bought at 47kobo about 3 days ago.It has no fundamental.Infact some of us (oga oracle)do say the stock is in ICU.I bought the stock based on history. Some weeks back, the stock were sold off massively and it got to 44kobo which prompted me to raise concern here about it but now I am seeing history repeating itself again this January in that stock.some people who knows about the history of stocks are on it now.The stock closed at 54kobo today and might open 2022 on usual full bid according to history.

Brace up and pick stocks wisely.
January is coming up with a strong bull.
The demand of some stocks at closing of trading yesterday and today at decent volume says it all.

This is my last comment on this forum for the year .Other engagements won't allow me to show face here again after now.

I want to use this opportunity to say happy new year in advance to all of us at Nsempa.

He came , he saw , he conquered.2021 isn't an easy year.

Few things to Note in 2022

In few hours it will be another year. 2022 … is loading.
I believe the out going year 2021 had its ups and downs, there were some mistakes and likewise some areas where things were done right in terms of investment decisions.
Many met their saving and investment objectives while some could not, some miss opportunities while others make use of opportunities, in all we have learnt one lesson or the other.

As we look forward to a new year, here are some good investment practices that could help:

1. In all your investment moves make sure the safety of your capital takes priority.

2. Note that you can’t be everywhere in terms of investment rather go for what you understand, and you have ability to cope with the inherent risk.

3. One of the best moves in investment is to start with what you have. Don’t wait till you have all the millions. Do something with what you have currently and build on it.
For instance if you have plans to invest in bonds or real estate and currently you only have tens or hundreds of thousands why not start with mutual funds that can help you build your funds gradually and in no time you can invest in your desired investment window rather than waiting and your money losing value.

4. There will always be Ponzi schemes so watch out and tread carefully. When returns look too good to be true it’s most likely not true no matter who is involved.

5. Don’t tie your investment decisions only on rumors. Do your due diligence always. Note sometimes you may see yourself going alone on your decision to invest, don’t bother in as much as you are sure and know you are on the right track.

6. Always endeavor to have a balance portfolio that can help in your risk management. Risks are managed better when spread across different investment windows.

7. Don’t forget according to Warren Buffett
Rule No.1: Never lose money. Rule No.2: Never forget rule No.1

I wish you all happy, bullish, and high yielding 2022

Nigerian naira tumbled to N435 against the dollar at the official market on Friday.

This is coming as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) adjusted the country’s exchange rate on its website to N413.49/$1 — in what seems to be another devaluation this year. shocked

In May, the apex devalued the naira from N379 to N411 per dollar by adopting the (I&E) window.

Although Godwin Emefiele, governor of the CBN, had dismissed insinuations about naira devaluation, says Nigeria operates a managed-float exchange regime.

A managed float fx regime is when exchange rates fluctuate daily, but central banks attempt to influence the rate by buying and selling currencies to maintain a specific range.

Checks by TheCable showed that the local currency, which opened trading at an indicative price of N420.67 to a dollar, dropped to N435 at the end of Friday’s trading, according to FMDQ OTC Securities Exchange, a platform that oversees foreign-exchange trading in Nigeria.

The naira was quoted as high as N445.50 per dollar during the intra-day trading.
