If you want to attend crossover service, go ahead and attend. If you don't want to attend, by all means, stay home, watch TV and sleep. If you want to dance your way into 2022, suit yourself and go to a club or turn on your home speakers. And if you want to welcome 2022 by playing bangers and fireworks, feel free and do it. The sky is large enough for all birds.

This is wishing everyone a fruitful 2022.
You've said it all...

There are no separate rules for individuals where God is concerned. Your churches and their doctrines and traditions, lies, are against Jesus Christ, the Truth of God. undecided

Please it serves a lot.
And I have 3 points.

1. Yes there are those that can get to a place of repentance from their home.
But there are those that need the atmosphere the church provides and the testimony of others to get to that place of repentance.

The last day of the year is significant for every human being.

You might not attend service throughout the year but some how the last day of the year makes you want to have some form of new year resolution or change of heart and the cross over can provide the right atmosphere for that.

2. Cross-over service had become a religious activity for already converted believers. So it is simply fullfiness of righteousness.

-Your parents expect you to go for cross over service.
-Your friends are all going so you dont want to be the odd one out so you also attend.
-Youre a worker in the church so you're actually expected to be there. Whether or not you want to be.

3. Cross over prayers.
While many are of the opinion that every day is the same. I believe astronomers, astrologers, agriculturists, and those who pay attention to times and seasons j understand that no 2 days are alike.
In fact zodiac signs are a proof that your birthday goes a long way to determine your personality as different from others.
Also the very fact that we have different significant seasons of rainfall, harmattan, dry season, etc shows that different days have different significance.
So clearly those who developed the calendar, having put the different seasons into considerations determined that the new year is significant.

Hence for those who determine to pray into the new year, it is a well acceptable and good religious ritual, psychological and therapeutic exercise.

That said, no matter the category you find yourself whether you recognise the cross over or not, just understand that days have different significance and the praying into the new year is not a bad idea.
Some times the prayers are answered, some times they are not. Supposedly also determined by God's pre determination for everyone
so you're a Christian and you are saying you believe in astrology
Ok ooo

Does Spending The Last Night Of The Year In A Church Service Make Any Difference?

It's about that time of the year again, when the churches across the nation usually record their highest attendance numbers of the year, during their cross over services.

The reason for the record attendance figures attained during these services, is mostly because many who rarely or never attend church services during the year, for some reason are also found inside church buildings on this particular night during the cross over services.

It appears they do so because they feel spending the last night or cross over service of the year was very important and makes a significant difference in their lives, regardless of how they spent the remaining part of the year after cross over service, even if they don't change their ways, or do any thing differently from how they used to do them.

However the truth is that just spending the last night or cross over service of any year in any church building would make no real difference in someone's life, except it is able to cause the person to change his ways and how he does things.

Moreover, if Christ were to come on the last night of the year, most of those inside the church buildings during the cross over service would still be left behind, so what's the point of just attending these last church services of the year, if one doesn't repent or turn away from his or her wicked ways?

What difference does it really make?

It makes a difference.
Go to church!

What's it with you and hating on those who destroy the works of Satan and speak the Truth as Jesus did?

Or are you an antichrist?

This is not about TB Joshua your dearly beloved so that you'd start using him as an excuse to hate.

Everything you wrote were just your own view and had no Biblical backing. That's the problem faced with the church. Rather than teach from the Bible, we want to trend and as such teach error.

When God says seek me and you will find Me, was He joking about this? Of course you can seek Him anytime or any place but from the Biblical view, If you seek Him at your place of worship at the last day of the year, are you saying one won't find Him? Are you saying if we find Him, it won't make any difference?

Many put the year before God in prayers. Are you saying praying to God is wrong and God won't answer or such prayers make no difference? So, what happens to several instructions of Christ on praying, coming unto Him and many that has to do with calling upon Him?

We just post anything just to give our opinion which in every sense has no Biblical backing. Thereby, making many to be led astray in the name of being overzealous for God.

For those that will seek him genuinely it is very significant. You are seeking God in the early morning of a new year.

Scriptures says
"They that seek me early shall find me"

Guy rest abeg!!!

Early morning of the new year?!! Most attendees take off from the church immediately after shouting Happy New Year! Next point of call is a bar, club, girlfriend or boyfriend's house, etc....

The Bible you are trying to misuse clearly states that "God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows, that shall he reap"!

You can't sow evil throughout the year, then demand that one night should make all the difference.

What are this several instructions of Jesus Christ you refer to there please? undecided

Jesus Christ for certain did not ask anyone to build your churches in His name and He never asked anyone to sit in any church in worship of Him either. He said that He will build His Church- by His own hands - so what difference do you think your sitting in on those gatherings you call churches - gathering built and ordered by the hands of the men who run those businesses - will make to your life? undecided

Jesus Christ also warned His followers to stay clear away from the doctrines and traditions of men(and their churches), lies , which He explained where meant to decieve people away from following the Truth of God - Matthew 15 vs 1 - 14 and Mark 7 vs 1 - 13, so what difference do you expect more of the same vain worship will make to your relationship or lack with God? undecided

This 2021 was a very good year for me, albeit I did not even stepped a foot in any church last December. So it doesn't change a thing. Pray at your own convenience, I'm not discouraging anyone who wishes to attend crossover night, but be security conscious, God answers our secret prayers.
