The phone this Nairalanders sold me was a fraud not 4G by Maks27: 9:11am On Jan 01, 2022 |
So recently I posted that I needed a 4G phone and someone in my vicinity mailed me directly and we sealed the deal at 35k. He showed me with his s on it and I confirmed it was 4G. But the moment I put my Sim card it shows only 3G, I have tried all the setting I know nothing. I even put the phone imel online to check the specs and it says it support LTE. My question now is there a way he tweaked the screen to decieve me that day when I bought it. The phone name is Infinix smart 5 x657 And also I have confirmed and my sim is 4G Kindly advise me Someone told me to put the phone in demo mode and see if it shows 4G LTE I did it and it showed LTE but my if I out it in normal it is on 3G. Please I want to know if I have been cheated. I have tried contacting this man all to no avail. I will drop his Moniker if he refuse to reply me before friday ...........................new post.............................. So recently I was scammed on Nairaland by a member and I don't really want to struggle in a new year. Tho the phone works well and the battery is strong it's just the 4G problem I have. So I have decided to buy a4G mifi or router Note my budget is 5k to 10k and I am not interested in buying from a nairalander, just suggest good one within my budget and I will find it in a physical shop. Thank you all God bless you 2 Likes

Maks27: Open the phone settings and set the sim to 4G...if after setting it to 4G it didn't show 4G, insert another 4G sim and try it. By the way, some double sim phones has 4G enabled on 1 sim only. Check very well 20 Likes |

Bro, u weren't scammed Try another SIM card. Many SIM cards don't have the bandwidth Ur phone uses especially Airtel. When I got my Samsung A31, I inserted my Airtel SIM and wasn't showing 4G, but when I put it in my friend's infinix, it did. So I tried with my other sim, 4G worked. So u can get another SIM card. 4 Likes |

Test your 4g in sim 1, maybe your phone does 4g on one sim port only. Check the phone settings if it has 4g. If the demo mode shows 4g then the device has 4g. If you don't see 4g, you may see LTE which is 4g too. |

emmy512:Yes boss the demo mode shows LTE but I have tried various sims and different settings it's stuck on 3g |
