This is a very stupid question. What’s my business with his hair style, can he do the job, if he can the. He gets the job. Even Americans that brought us education have people with dreadlocks teaching. You can be sued sef for rejecting him based on his hair. 6 Likes |

Can a man with dreadlocks teach? What are his qualifications? If he's able to pass the interview process, then he should be capable of transferring knowledge to the pupils. 2 Likes |

As a school owner, your teachers give a good impression of your school in all aspects. I believe the school is in Nigeria. School is your business and the impression it gives to parents matter a lot. I doubt if Nigerian parents will like to see one with dreads. If you feel that the opinion of your customers who are parents don't matter, then employ him. Customer is king they always say. |

It's the teaching skills that matters not the dread. Besides, people use what they can to make sure student's are in line. Imagine Davido with all them tattoos, teaching economics. The level of concentration, cos it's Davido will be overwhelming. Okay, let's look at it this way, what if it's a natural dread. I might just because of a teacher's nice look, be enthusiastic towards learning their subjects. We too carry Morality for head ahbeg!!! 3 Likes |

The right question should be will you allow all ur students to carry dreadlocks as a sch owner..if yes then the teacher has a right to be employed..if no then dont employ the teacher..students will start putting on dread seeing thier teacher..do wat I do..that's leaning not just writing and cramming |

Let us ask ourselves sincere questions can you allow a dreadlocks person to inject you? In this part of the world most dreadlocks persons see themselves the way we see them, either a yahoo boy or a drug person, the results are there. Although that doesn't mean that low cut persons are free of criminal activities, not compare to dreadlocks persons. For me, As a principal I can't allow such person to teach people's children. |

It depends on the values set out for students to imbibe while founding the school. If I have a school, would I want students to student to subscribe to idea of dreadlocks as an hairstyle? Definitely no, and as such such teacher is a no for me. Expectations from students and teachers and even parents will be set out in the school handbook so that no one will claim ignorance of our standard and expectations. Where there are rules, there will be consequences for disobeying the rules. While I went to school, the rules are simple - low cut, clean nails, smart and clean dressing. Teachers were expected to be role models for students. I am a conservative, these standards have helped me to become a better person I am and I don't know why they must change. If it worked 2million years ago, I believe it will still work now. Why subject life to arbitrary changes and create chaos everywhere? Truth I believe does not change with time or space. |

matrix199:I think we still need to understand that not deciding to follow peoples opinion doesn't qualify one as a madman. Perceptions defer, the employer will be termed as the confused one here for trying to justify why peoples opinion should be followed in this case. As far as I am concerned, natural and well kept dreads will look presentable anyways. Not those irresponsible artificial things people put on their head these days. 2 Likes |

Can a man or a woman with dreadlock be enlisted in the army, police or any other paramilitary outfit? I am an employer of labor, non of my male staff spot beards. If you want to spot dreadlock or beards Daddy showkey will gladly employ you. If am to own a school a man spotting dread lock or beard will consider himself unemployable. Do some research on Ross Perot a former independent presidential candidate, his work place ethics. If you must wear beards or dreadlocks look elsewhere. Hollywood beckons you. 1 Like |
