Neobulletzz: Nwakali was added as a replacement for Onuachu who got injured . Rohr listed only 4 midfielders out of 40 players on the list... Did Eguavon did something horrible by including Nwakali name? If not Nwakali, please tell us which midfielder should have made the list, or would you have preferred we went with just 4 midfielders? 9 Likes |

Mujtahida: Doesn't seem like it.. As long as there's a hierarchy.. Eguavon is the technical adviser, Salisu is chief coach, Yobo and Aigbohun are assistant coaches, Agu is goalkeeper coach and the last guy, I don't remember his role.... |

Meanwhile, a lot of teams seem to have been hit by Covid-19 already... I wonder if the super eagles had their test before departing for Cameroon.. |

TheGoodJoe: On the 16th September 2016 Nwakali played his first match in the Eerste Divisie for Maastricht. He was there for a full season playing 34 games. Is that not enough for a player's to show outstanding quality❓ However, it was assumed he had stepped up and he went to the Eredivisie with Venlo in the 2017/18 season. But Venlo discovered he was not good enough and sent him back down to the Eerste Divisie after 1 2 games. After the end of the season nobody wanted him. He went to be Porto B and couldn't even become a regular in the youth team. He goes to Huesca who even lonef him out not good enough to initially. He's back to Huesca in obscurity done nothing. Your clutching at straws once again, trying to Justify the UNJUSTIFIABLE. So KC had two heads that's why he got work permit Arsenal could have made a case for exceptional talent to get him a work permit but found no exceptional talent . It's now comedic TheBigJoe is making a very big joke. so funny. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I am confused. Conflicting reports everywhere. Half of the media is saying Ighalo will be replaced by no one and we will go to AFCON with 1 less player. The other half is saying Dessers has been called up and Feyenoord is even negotiating releasing him with the NFF. Which is the correct news? 3 Likes |

komekn:Kudus is not going to AFCON. Also, Kamaldeen is not a midfielder! Partey, Wakaso, and Iddrisu is a pretty average midfield in my estimation. Duncan and Schulup should have been called up! Nigeria's midfield is one of the best in this AFCON. 1 Like 1 Share |

andrewbaba44:At least he would have had the chance to compete in the academy like Iheanacho did in man city. The point is he didn't get that chance and so had to be jumping from team to team in the low leagues in Europe. European kids would not have that experience. Someone should not now claim that Arsenal signed him but he never played for them because he was bad.(modified) 3 Likes 1 Share |

MetalJigsaw: I was thinking naija should have gone with 3 and add a midfielder with the last GK spot ,but that shouldn’t be a problem ,many afcon coaches went with 4GKs so please don’t use that to criticize eguavoen Or maybe you will tell me those coaches aren’t sane 1 Like |

komekn: What is clutching at straws? You can say Kelechi Nwakali did not break through after trials but done use Gnabry and Arsenal. That is you pretending about the work permit issue. I can see you side stepped it and refuse to talk about it. You know what you are doing. I can not remember how we pulled Nacho's work permit but I know it took a battle. We got him on by applying for a work permit based on special talent and then kept in the academy to break in as a home grown talent. However, it was Pellegrini insisting on not buying a striker and making nacho priority. That was why we could fight. Without Pellegrini, it would have been a different scenario. Kelechi Iheanacho suffered in different systems after he left City, did not mean he would turn out a bad player. Kelechi Nwakali having challenges to breakthrough does not mean he will end up a failure. My heart and prayers remain with Kelechi Nwakali and I believe he will turn out a huge success soon. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Please, let us ease on Ighalo. The guy just wanted to serve his country. I do not think he planned to cause the team any problem. We can criticize Ighalo on a number of things, but we cannot criticize his commitment to the success of the team. He is naturally a good guy and would not cause Nigerians pains. Even Eguavoen said he is protecting Ighalo from going into a battle with the club. That will tell you his commitment. Please, guys, Ighalo is still our main man. 8 Likes |

dijon:That's a damning verdict on Eguavoen. It means he hasn't been doing his job. As TD he should keep a dossier on all Nigerian players in Europe top leagues at least. I laugh when people praise Eguavoen's tactical acumen. This guy was a resounding failure the last time he was with the super Eagles. He was hounded out from the national team with all kinds of bad press. The man keeps talking about luck everytime. That tells he has an already made excuse should he fail. I have never heard a top manager talking about needing luck in interviews, klopp? Tuchel? Flick? Pep? The man is clueless. We now have round of 16 in the nation's cup then quarter finals, no way he navigates through and get to the semi finals on luck. Eguavoen doesn't have the capacity, who wan bet? 7 Likes |
