I am not a fan of rap artist Eminem but the Lyrics of his sing ,Loose Yourself explain the situation.

Look
If you had
One shot
Or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted
In one moment
Would you capture it
Or just let it slip?

Ademola Lookman was playing Sunday football and his team was invited to play Charlton athletic U18 who intended to use this local team for target practice.. Cut a long story short he stood out , was invited to trial within a year he was playing for the first team of Charlton. He seized the opportunity

Tyron Mings was released by Southampton's ( he was too short ) at 16. He started playing non league and working. Ipswich Town needed a team to play with for pre season to use for target practice. That team was Chippenham Tyron was so good that Mick McCarthy signed him immediately . He is now a top player and England international. He seized the opportunity

Awoniyi was in Liverpool's but he was always training with the U23's and on occasion first team . Work permit did not prevent him ftom training, but he simply was not good enough for the first team.

Nwakali had opportunity but could not rise to the occasion and Arsenal decided not to bother applying for a work permit for him.

The Ming's, Ademola even Eberechi Eze have very similar stories they SIMPLY SEIZED THE OPPORTUNITY

Unfortunately Nwakali did not and has not for 7 years. Now he had been given an undeserving call up to the SE . Please let him SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY.

Free this boy. Your point has been made. You no dey tire to type long long epistle about the same topic?

I'm Algerian, and I agree with you. We have an oscillating level of defense, and we have a weak attacker.

AFCON hosted by sub saharan African nations seems to be quite different to those hosted by the Northern Countries.

The publicity, the build up, tension and vibes is second to non...

Despite pandemic, insecurity and political instability challenges faced by the host nation, this edition of the tournament is thumping the last one hosted by Egypt.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Italy won 2006, they were ousted first round at South Africa 2010

Spain won in 2010, they were ousted first round at Brazil 2014

You really cannot discount what home support can do for you in a tournament like this.

In looking at teams I put aside emotive Favouritism and look at matters as objectively as possible.

I will start from one proviso, all Francophone teams have an advantage over all Anglophone teams. Cameroon like other Francophone countries have direct acces to the French League and that means a huge pool of talent.

But if we are to look at what gives you an advantage it's always quality players and to have 3 outstanding players through the spine of the team is a great advantage.

Onana Ajax goalkeeper alongside Mendy are probably the best African goalkeeper in the World. You can guarantee Cameroon defense will be birthed from French league one like Castelleto at Nantes to name a few. They also have Anguissa in Midfield NOBODY in our squad can compare to him Dude is very good. They have Ekambi from Lyon, Choupa Bayern M., Aboubakar and Basagog can't be ignored. In all depu they have strength in depth.

They are top favourites in my opinion to get to the Finals.

The SE played a local team from Cameroon
Coton Sport FC de Garouab we beat them 2-0 that's not an inspiring result whatever way you look at it.

Senegal have Mendy, Koulibally and Mane to name three top class if not world class players in their squad, I am sorry we are not better than them on paper.

Cote d'Ivoire are not very good in the goalkeeping department. We are better. But it ends their, defender are Éric Bailly , Willy Boly (Wolves) they are very good.

Midfield they have Kessie , Akpro, Bogarde to name a few. Upfront the top goal scorer in the Eredivisie Haller, who is flanked by Pepe and Zaha.

And you truly believe that we are better than Senegal and Cote d'Ivoire. On paper we are absolutely not.

However, it's football it's a cup competition anything can happen. I will admit that inexplicably for too many years Cote d'Ivoire have the players but never seem to achieve. Could this be the year they do

Nigeria is not a favourite in my opinion , maybe our never say never " Warri no deh carry last " Spirit may take us past the group stage, but winning it very doubtful.

Nonetheless, I'm screaming for Nigeria to win .
You're using your knowledge of World Cup and European Cup to judge the afcon.

Maybe you should go back to history and read more about the previous champions of the competition, you'll realise that most teams who don't parade big names actually won the trophy than those that have players in big club in Europe

The great Hassan shehatta team won the afcon three times in a row with mostly players in the Egyptian league.

The Senegal, ivory coast with there world class team have three trophy same with us. So what is the essence of having a world class team and you can't dominate your region.

The way he combined the names(ChidozieAina) alone, should already tell you he ain't Nigerian. By the way, this isn't the first time he is telling us he is an Algerian

The thumping of this one was driven mostly by the controversies surrounding it, both from the qualifiers till now. Its not really about the location.

Top players catching covid.
Away teams given false covid results
Brewing cancelation of the tournament over covid and insecurity
Omicron adding salt to injury
Klopp and others allegedly accused of insulting the tournament
European clubs and media accused of disrespect and racism
Clubs complaining about missing squad members
Watford, Napoli et al trying to withhold players

How is it disturbing ,are you a Ghanaian ?

Ghana is a football powerhouse in Africa.
They didn't just lose by a lone goal, but by three.
They tried to make even, but were hapless, and you think it is not disturbing.

If i were Ghana, i will not allow myself to lose by that margin.
What message are they sending to the rest of the continent.

means you’ve hardly followed the SE at major tournaments, is 2004 a joke to you? A tournament where we expelled our 2 best strikers (Agali, Aiyegbeni) plus one of the best LB (Celestine) in Africa just few days before our first game and didn’t even replace them

It was after the first game against morroco. Ended 1 nill.
